Her practice is not based on squeezing the customer, but the animal in front of her. I also know that her staff is fantastic...they came with her from her last practice, and I can tell you that staff and techs can make or break a practice. Hers make it. If you live within a few hours of Taylor Brook, go to Dr. Sanders. You'll be embarrassed you took your animal friends anywhere else!

Our dog was diagnosed with cancer and declined rapidly, which was heartbreaking for us. Dr. Radding and her staff assisted with us with medicines to extend our dog's life and make him more comfortable. When the time came to make the toughest of decisions and send our dog to heaven the level of care he received was more than we could have ever ask for. Dr Radding made what is a terrible experience as calm and gentle as possible. She clearly cares for both the animal and the owner's needs. When the time comes for us to get another pet there is no doubt where we will go for Vet services, we will return to Freeport Vet and Dr. Radding and staff.

The response from the vet was "we're just about to start our afternoon procedures and can't help". Stunned I asked "really, she has a mouth full of quills"... the reply: "we're sorry" I then drove another 25 minutes to the vet on Falmouth Foreside who admitted us and after administering a mild sedative removed the quills and discharged my pup 30 minutes later. I would never recommend Cumberland Animal Clinic to anyone. Hopefully the vet didn't have too hard a day and got home on time. Again, is this what small animal veterinary care has become?

They have often been able to squeeze me in last minute when necessary, I have never had to wait past my scheduled appointment time, the office is immaculate, and Dr. Lucas especially has gone above and beyond for me as veterinarian. My dog absolutely adores it there; there is no place he is more excited to be. This excitement results in a rather naughty, licky, and rambunctious pup, but the people at CAC love him anyway, handling his energy with compassion and skill. I feel that my dog recieves the best care possible, and that I am treated with fairness, kindness, and respect. After receiving treatment at CAC, I always receive a follow up call to check on my dog's progress. Una's medical care is better than my own! I brought my pup in at 3 am because of crying most of the night. He does have a known UTI with struvite crystals and a urine pH of 9. At first she wanted to do an x ray and ultrasound to look for stones. Uhh. Ultrasound would've seen both. No need for the xray. I nicely suggested starting with the ultrasound. ANYTIME I tried at all to advocate for my pup, I got attitude and talked to as if I knew absolutely nothing. I also asked if she could prescribe something to lower the urinary pH, as that would be a double approach to help resolve the infection. She threw her hands up, claimed that my asking questions and seeking clarification was "abusive" and "she's not taking that at 3 am" It's basic infection cycle. Interrupt the cycle at as many points as you can, get quicker resolve. If you need emergent care, steer clear of this place. Go right to Portland. Like she suggested we should've. First time here, and absolutely will NEVER be back nor recommend ANYONE else. Imagine claiming someone's being abusive because they don't want to answer questions as to their thought process in the care of your animal. Absolutely insane

When I offered to pay the $4400 upfront (after the consult), they told me I had to wait until their surgery day, six weeks out. This was not something that they had discussed with me prior to me scheduling an appointment with them. it seems to me as though this facility is eager to get you into their building, but will not discuss what their schedule is truly like two months out. Dr. Zoe Albee did not want to provide antibiotics for one of the two dogs that has redness, irritation, and swelling in the gum line of the broken tooth. The Staff sees no concern with the wellbeing or pain these dogs are going through. 0/5 do not recommend. Plenty of details to come, I'll save that for the BBB.
