Built by Clinton Myers, owner of the Hanover Shoe Company, the WMM is without a doubt, one of the grandest houses in Hanover. The home reflects the eclectic decorating style of Bill Warehime, with its antique furnishings, and dare I say, some rather kitschy artistic touches. Overall, it is a site to behold with period furnishings, embellished mirrors, china, ornate fireplaces, grandfather clocks, etc. You will find yourself swept back into time as you take a guided tour of this house. Our docent was Jim, one of the volunteers associated with the historical society. He was very thorough in explaining the style, tastes and history of the previous owners and regaled us with stories pertaining to each room and various items we encountered. He was incredible. We also toured the stable/carriage house building that is currently being renovated. The mansion is the site of seasonal events and concerts, as well as a wedding venue. As a lover of history and architecture, I was enthralled by this mansion's grandeur and its storied past. If you have similar interests, you will enjoy your visit here.

This is a train museum open on the weekends only. It has a very large train display (in a rail car)…read moreoperated by the Conewago Valley Rail Club. Admission is by donation. Vintage baggage car is open to the public if you arent afraid of heights. As well as the train station itself: it contains a lot of old memorabelia, toys and equipment used on the local line. The gentleman operating it talked about the days when it was passenger and freight. But nowadays it is mostly used for freight (apples from nearby Biglerville). I'm not much of a train guy myself, but it is something fun for those who are young or young at heart.

Last Saturday, we visited the largest, permanent, model railroad display in the mid-Atlantic, owned…read moreby the Baltimore Society for Model Engineers. The Society was founded in March 1932 and is the oldest exclusively model railroad club in the United States. They maintain 2,500 square feet of model railroad displays of steam and diesel freight and passenger trains and trolleys, plus so much more. It was fun to see all the parts of the display - it really gives you a glimpse into the history of railroading. It is not easy to find, as the doorway is tucked into the left front center of the building and the society is located on the third floor with no elevator. The display is normally open on the second Sunday of each month, except May.

This was our first time going to this haunted attraction! We did get a CLIPP deal for two people…read moreall attractions for $60, which i thought was a fantastic deal. There was 5 attractions and they were all amazing! We went on the Sunday before Halloween and it was pretty dead which I loved honestly because me and my fiance got to enter all the attractions just us! I am unsure if they do that on a busier night but they did it this night which I really liked. They have three food trucks the food was okay, we got loaded cheese fries for 11.50 from the one truck barley had a bacon on them, but fries themselves were just frozen fries nothing amazing. However all the workers from the cross guard guy to the people working the booths were all super nice!! I would differently go back
