It was a nice touch to have a person assist you after going through security. She walked me to the computer kiosk and assisted. There are 30 or so service windows divided by category. My number was called but they then asked me to go back to the kiosk for a different category. The woman at window four seemed 'bothered' to find solutions in helping me. A very rude coworker stood behind her meddling in my business while working on something shaking her head no and mumbling "no." They are there to serve the public and find solutions since they are trained and the public is not familiar with the processes and options. The woman said I needed to hire an attorney to get the records. No, not an option. I am not paying to get records I can get myself. They were not helpful and unwilling to do their job. I went back to the kiosk a third time and went back to a different rep in the first category, records. I was called immediately. The man at window 29 was SO HELPFUL. He asked questions and even asked a manager for guidance. He filled out papers for a record search and said the archives would work on it and I would be contacted. I received a call within a couple of hours. She had questions and was researching. Received two more calls from the nice lady as she was broadening her search. She called me a fourth time and found the records. I thanked her profusely on the phone. She replied, "it is my job to serve our customers." That is a public servant. This woman and the nice man are what is right with the staff on the ground floor, Room 101. Tax dollars well spent. Heading in today to pick up my papers, WITHOUT SPENDING MONEY ON AN ATTORNEY.

They also have plenty events for children. They have a snack and "break area". This location also stays later than most in the Riverview, Brandon, Apollo Beach area. They have multiple rooms that we frequently use for my neighborhood homeowners associate meetings. We have used the Art Studio for a meeting. It has local art (also throughout the entire library) and children art. When using that room it's long tables with various type of chairs and obviously, paint supplies off to the side but out the way when it comes to meeting time. We have also used the Community Room. This meeting room has a divider to adjust for small and large groups. This room has a more professional setting and the space to rearrange if need be. My only complaint is for the entire Hillsborough County Library. When reserving a room, you will never speak with an employee. The process is pretty inconvenient. You call and leave a voicemail, and they'll contact you back in the order of all their voicemails. If they can not hear your number you left in the voicemail clearly, you will not get a call back. The turn around time is usually within a week. There is also an email process.

The check in was quick for driver licenses, but all other services the line was extremely long! The layout was spacious and I did not feel cramped. The number system is loud, so you can hear easy. The temperature was warm, as if they decide not to turn the AC on till 80-83 degrees. With the 6.25$ I had to pay, they could at least put on the AC. By the time I got called 45 mins, I had sweat marks on my shirt. The lady who helped me get my new license was efficient. The process only took 8-10 mins to complete. I was disappointed with how they have you pick up the licenses. I was told to wait and I would be called when it was ready ("a few minutes"). After a few, I had heard no ones name called I walked to the front. The two employees checking in new arrivals never turned around to check the licenses printing off the machine. By the time I picked mine up there was a stack of about 8 licenses awaiting, and none of the people were happy when they got theirs. So two recommendations: TURN ON or DOWN THE AC!!! Be more efficient in getting people out of the office. FYI: They charge an additional $6.25 for all services of drivers licenses....
