The times I was there after therapy he would give me a detailed brief of how therapy went and numerous suggestion for take home exercises. He would brief me on specific concerns as well as the progress to this point. The office was also very informative and assisted with all the paperwork to begin outpatient therapy. I cannot express how happy I am with the professionalism and cleanliness of every square inch of the facility.

We picked our top two and were happy that Windsor was one that her insurance covered. All of the staff were very good, kind and courteous to my mother. It was a very clean facility. The physical therapy and occupational therapy staff was top-notch. We really loved all of them. The nurses, the aids, maintenance workers, cleaning staff as well as the House doctor were fantastic. She liked the food ok (they served a lot of beans!), it was better than the food at the hospital. Most of the rooms were double patient rooms, but there were a few single private rooms available, but you need to request them. The only complaint that I have was a big mixup regarding when we left. We were told three different times that when we leave, she will be given anything that she needs to continue her quality of life like a wheelchair, walker, cane... and would go through the insurance. When it was time for her to leave, they told us that they could not provide the seated walker because we lived out of state. Evidently that is only for people that live in state, but everyone knew that we did not live in Texas. It was a big rush for my father and I to go out and try to find a walker with a seat at the last minute. Had we known earlier I would've ordered one off of Amazon because she was there for 12 days. I asked at the very beginning and we were told that she would be leaving with one so we did not order it. Had we not had that mixup, they definitely would've received five stars.

I came here with my parents. My mom has been coming here and she only speaks Spanish. The doctor…read moreand the staff here speak Spanish, so it is a wonderful thing. The nurses are attentive and the doctor is soft spoken. The reason I came is because my mom wanted me to come because she doesn't know/understand what is going on. To be fair to the doctor - I must say that my mom out of fear/stress and "panic" she tells the staff: "I don't want to hear, don't tell me" - when they start to explain things. She gets extremely tense and stressed-out. So, my mom's plan was for me to come and for me to ask all the questions and for the doctors to tell me all that needs to be said and that way - we would know what is going on. The doctors and nurses are not very talkative and rightly-so they direct themselves to the patient. However, on this situation - it would be wonderful for my mom and my family if the doctors and nurses were a little more willing to explain things. I am not a doctor and finding the right questions to ask - may be a challenge specially if I am not aware/familiar with the situation. I would have loved to have gotten a little more than a simple explanation of the condition, what is happening, what is the plan, etc. My mom had a biopsy right there and then and we were given the test sample to drive it to the hospital and register it in - for the hospital to do the tests. This happened last Tuesday. The doctor gave my mom a follow-up appointment for today Monday at 3pm. I just found out from my father that the doctor told him this morning that they still do not have the test results and they would get back to him when they did. I am looking forward to seeing how all this evolves. And I am also looking forward to a good experience. This is just my first interaction with this doctor's office.

A family member needed to be seen here in the states. They had been going to Mexico because of how…read moreexpensive it is here. Thankfully I saw Menchaca Family Clinic on FB and was reading their approach to healthcare. It is a monthly fee depending on patient's age. No copays, no deductibles, no "let me verify with your insurance", no premiums, no out of pocket maximums, just taking care of the person and their ailment. We signed up online and that same day, received a phone call by Mary. She is super sweet and polite. Thank you Mary! We scheduled the initial visit and in just a few days, we were there at the time scheduled. No lines, no waiting, no random people coughing and sneezing all over the place. Not even a TV. What for? You won't wait long enough. Mary helped with some blood work and then the next week we received a call for the results. Mr. Menchaca went over the results very thoroughly and explained everything bit by bit along with a physical assessment. The prescription was faxed to our local pharmacy within a few hrs. I have never seen an office so organized. So technologically advanced. We don't even have to "sign in" when we go in. "Healthcare like a gym membership." Thank you Menchaca Family Clinic for these last two weeks. So thankful to have you in the RGV. Highly recommend!!!
