One June 27th I purchased a motorcycle from Greathouse Honda in Bryan, TX. When I was at the shop, I asked about another model I had been interested in. They responded that they had two of the CT125 coming in the next shipment and would be there within two weeks. I was told I could put down a $500 deposit and reserve it. There was no formal documentation associated with it. I called to inquire as to the arrival date the week it was supposed to arrive. They said there was a delay and it would be another two weeks. I called again 2 weeks later and they said it would be another month. I called back in late August and they said they didn't know when it would be in. On September 3rd I called again to ask if there was an update. I was told they did not know and I then requested to cancel my deposit. I was told it was non-refundable (I would have never signed up for the deposit as I have had several dealers pull this same routine in the car buying environment). He said he would talk to his manager and see if he could refund it. He later informed me they would not. My main issue is if you tell me a motorcycle produced in Japan will be there in TWO WEEKS, that implies that the motorcycle has been produced and its currently in transit. This is not the case, and 3 months later there is still no "next shipment." They sold me an imaginary motorcycle that has not been assembled and has not shipped, and is not even listed in their supply chain. read more

These guys are great! Nice showroom, too. Fast & cheaper than expected for repairs. Will keep taking my Honda 80cc scooter here for all tune ups and repairs. Glad I found them. Sorry I gave Scoots my time & money... These guys fixed the mess they made of my scooter in 11 business days for $108. Scoots took more than double my time and money & did nothing but make my scooter worse. read more

I took a new Pioneer 1000-5 into the dealership for its 20 hour service. Additionally, I ask them to straighten the steering wheel which had been installed incorrectly from the factory. They charged me almost $200 dollars to change the oil and review the checklist on the breakin. Nothing was wrong or needed adjustment. They did not straighten the steering wheel. Employees were rude, unavailable, uninformed about my unit, and obviously not caring. I will not go back to that dealership. read more

I took my bike to Greathouse Honda only because Procycle wasn't able to figure out what was wrong with my bike. So I leave my bike with Honda and told them that the fuse in the battery was busted and that when the new battery is installed the bike still breaks down (from what Procycle told me). I asked them if they were going to charge me to install the battery and they told me that they weren't. So I left them the battery as well and get call a week later saying that they fixed the bike. When I headed over to Honda I asked the sales associate (Chris) what was wrong with it? He told me that it was just a battery problem, they ran it for an hour, rode it a couple blocks, and rides well. I was shocked by that remark since Procycle told me that when they rode it it broke down just like what happened to me. I first paid for them for "fixing" my bike which was the battery installation that they told me they weren't going to charge but since they said they "fixed it" I went ahead and paid for it. It was a total of $25.50. I asked if I could see the mechanic who worked on my bike and talk to him personally. They brought the mechanic (Wally/Steve) over for me to speak to him about my bike. Like what Chris said, Wally told me that they fixed my bike and it rides well. Just to make sure I ask a few more times about it and got the same reply, "fixed my bike and runs well." After that I went back to my apartment and waited for my friend to get off work at 7pm to drive me back to get my bike. After he drops me off, I rode my bike all the way up to Old Main Drive there by the campus clock tower and then the worst happens again... my bike broke down on me. With cars right behind me I had to hop off my bike and walk it to the side to let the cars go. Luckily I was near a motorcycle parking on west campus. Frustrated and pissed I leave a message on their machine saying that they did not "fix" my bike! Not only that but I ended up having to walk my bike back to my apartment which was about a 3 mile walk which took 2-3 hours. I get a call back from them saying if they needed to pick it up. They said it's a $60 pick up fee to bring the bike to their dealership. I told them that I'm just going to wait for my friend to help me again to bring it to them. Two days go by and my friend helps me take it back to the dealership. Furious, I complained to them on why they lied to me and said they fixed me bike? They told me that when they installed the new battery it ran. I told them, "Yes but, like I told you guys even when the new battery is installed it still has the same problem of breaking down." Wally brought the service manager (Ron) to speak to me. I told him what was wrong and that they lied that they fixed my bike. Just like the rest, he told me that they ran the bike and fixed it. Obviously they didn't since I broke down in the middle of the road and could of gotten in an accident. We were going into a go around and he asked what they could do to fix the situation. I told them for half off the labor on this next order but told me no. They wouldn't even give me a refund on the last order to compensate for my troubles. Basically they didn't do anything to fix the situation besides taking a look at it again. I didn't want to leave it with them again since they lied the first time when I asked multiple times if they fixed it and also since Ron was very rude and didn't handle the situation well. But only because they were the only Honda dealership around I left it with them for a second chance. I get a call the next day after saying that they evenly got it to break down and that they were going to charge me $1000+ to just take apart and see what the problem is. At that point I told them not to do anything with my bike and ended up picking it back up from them. Overall, this was the worst experience and dealership I've come across. They are rude and liars and would definitely NOT recommend them. Never going back. Hope that $25.50 was worth it. If you need a repair go to Procycle. At least they're honest, nice, and straightforward about it. read more

Would not recommend this shop, especially if you are a college student. Poor customer service from beginning to end from both the stock room and repair room staff. Took them a week to quote my repair and estimated another week to get it done, quoting me $450 plus labor. Knowing this was too high, I walked and they charged me $90 for the "hour's worth of work it took to get the quote." Called a guy in Austin who diagnosed it over the phone as a "very common issue" and confirmed his hunch within 2 minutes of looking at it in person. Had the scooter back to me in 3 days for $175, labor included. Their purposeful price gouging hoping I wouldn't know any better is disgraceful. read more

Okay so.. my first experience here was good, so I decided to come back... I've worked at discount tires since my junior year of HS and now i'm a JR. in college so i know a few things about wheels, tires, balancing, etc... I brought in my rear wheel off of my CBR 600 that I just got done changing out myself. (our balancers don't work with motorcycle wheels) I took off all the old weight but just one (just to make sure I know they had balanced it out.). I am very skeptic when someone else is working on my car/motorcycle. When I brought it in I asked to watch him balance it out, the guy told me he can not allow no one in the back room. The week earlier I was there, another guy who gave me my first good impression allowed me in the back. So I grew suspicious. I was the only customer in the store so I waited for them to finish. When he rolled it out, I looked at it and saw the old weight that I had left on was still in the same spot. I asked him how did it balanceout and he told me, when he put it on the balancer, he just had to move the weight that was already on there. . I told him that's weird because none of the weight has moved. (You can tell because when you take off old weight the dirt behind it is still there, or there is some king of indication of old weight.), but I didn't want to be that ass-hole customer who try's to argue. So I left and put my wheel back on. AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW ITS OUT OF BALANCE. I was 90% sure he didn't balance it but some times wheels do balance out with old weight. I could feel it mainly at lower speeds when pulling up to a light... I was pretty pissed, so I had a buddy bring his motorcycle balancer from his house in Giddings.
