We used Crossroads for 2 moves in the last year; once to move to a rental property while our new home was being built, and once when our new home was complete to move in. We had a great experience the first time and a terrible experience the second time. For the same load of furniture and boxes, both one-story houses, the second move took 3 hours longer, cost $600 more, and they didn't even finish. The crew was inefficient and inexperienced - my husband moved his own pull-up bar while the crew stood around and tried to figure out how to do it. They spent 30 minutes trying to get a couch in the playroom, couldn't figure it out; I hired a college kid to come help my husband move it a couple days later, knocked it out in 10 minutes. We made 3 more trips that week to get the rest of the stuff that they didn't move. After multiple rounds of phone tag, I finally spoke with the owner, and he agreed to split the difference with me and write me a check for $300. This was a month ago. Never received the check, and never was able to get a hold of him again. read more

The most unprofessional owners that I have dealt with. They have had brand new bed rails and headboard of ours almost 3 months. DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE COMPANY. They are dishonest, unprofessional, and greedy. We had them deliver furniture and were charged almost $600 due to the incompetence of their own employees- double the initial pick up rate. They also DAMAGED my $1400 couch and did not tell us. One of their trucks was in my neighborhood this morning. They blocked the entire street so that traffic had no way to get through the street. Blocking one side is understandable. Blocking the entire street so that vehicles or first responders could not get through is NOT acceptable. The recycle trucks could not reach an entire street of recycle bins because of the drivers for Crossroads Moving and Storage. When the drivers were asked to move by multiple people, they stated they had permission from Montgomery County to block the road. I highly doubt that. It seems to be it is more like lazy movers who did not want to take extra steps to park correctly. Therefore they inconvenienced dozens of others because of their selfishness. The owner talked a big game about being A&M's mover but failed to tell us all the intricacies of his charges. Bottomline, we paid substantially more than we should have. They want payment the minute they are done but I am on month three of waiting for reimbursement for a piece of furniture they trashed. I know, it's "in the mail", right? read more

Horrible experience with this company! They promise personalized and outstanding customer service. When things went wrong and I complained each and every time they blamed me. Rude and non-responsive and caused excessive stress regarding this move. Unprepared the day of the move even though they had ample time to prepare. Lost and misplaced items were of NO concern to them. They even blamed me because their drivers do not know how to use navigation. Worst move ever and feel completely misled from what was promised and what was delivered. Never had these issues having used the National Moving Companies. They really should not be in a business that involves dealing with customers as they cannot take responsibility when THEY screw things up!!! read more

Crossroads Moving and Storage We found out we were moving in May-2021. Our approximate moving date would be August 31st. We had ample time to organize and pack. We packed each room and had boxes stacked and labeled. Everything was labeled. Several quotes were obtained from local moving companies. The Moving Company, Crossroads, came highly recommended. I had several quotes, and felt like the service, the price quoted and approximate time-frame was best for our move. I was instructed that the movers would arrive at 8:00am. I received a call at 8:20am, stating that they are running late, having to get gas and there is a lot of traffic. It's the first week of TAMU classes. One would think that the truck would have been prepared the day before. They arrived at almost 9:00am. The crew walked through our home to see what was to be moved. There were many items that were to stay with the home. I had large labels taped to each thing, as no misunderstanding of moving those items. I placed large notes with outside plants, etc., that were to be moved. The Crossroad's employee had a clipboard with paperwork to be signed. He was not prepared, no pen for signatures. We provided the pen. They had NO tools in order to take apart furniture to be moved, none! We provided tools for this to be done as well. They were hard working for about an hour and a half. Then, I observed each of them walking from room to room, leaving boxes. Then, they started carrying boxes instead of continuing to load numerous boxes on the dolly's. The dolly's were used in the beginning. I continued to see them walking in circles, as to slow the process of loading the truck. At the pace they started the move, they would have had the truck fully loaded in 2-3 hours at the most. They were loading and the house was becoming empty, quickly. I witnessed 1-2 of them totally stopping at numerous times and spending time looking at their phones. A blatant abuse of time that we would be charged for! I began to ask Mover H, how much longer would he estimate the move taking. They started at 9:00am, it was almost noon. They continued to move slower. He stated it would probably be 7:00pm! It was noon! I said I don't see how it could take that long, as the process had been going smoothly. I made a call to the Owner inquiring how the move could take 10 hours when the house was almost empty. I was assured he would speak to the movers and see what the time should be. I did not receive a call back. The Movers did not speak to me the rest of the time. They continued to slowly move and came to a standstill at times! I can not believe that the blatant disrespect and being taken advantage of, is something that this Company allows. I started moving things in my car. Several trips back and forth. I truly felt we chose the best movers for our move. But........ I understand the heat. I too was moving things, but, I'm 3 times their age. And, recently a total hip replacement 3 1/2 months post op! They were continually on their phones. They were all polite, but continued be at a standstill off and on during the day. I was totally exhausted from loading my own car 3-4 times and moving things just to get the job done. Although they arrived at 9:00am, I was charged from 8:15 am as He stated that time. I was not told that there was an additional fee for credit card payment, as I had cash and deposited it earlier. When I called for a quote, and I asked about supplies, I was told that the per hour charge included everything. We were charged for numerous shrink wrap. A roll of shrink wrap was in my driveway and as I picked it up, I handed it to a mover. I saw the mover throw the roll away in the trash at the house. There was still lots of shrink wrap on the roll. What looked to be a 4-6 hour Move, literally turned into a 10 HR Move!!!!!! I'm beyond exhausted and so frustrated at the day and the service. I received an email and it was only excuses for each and every thing that transpired. No responsibility was accepted for the things that I witnessed happening with our move. I have learned a lesson from this move. And, hope no one else receives this type of service. read more

My mother had hip replacement surgery this Monday and when we finally got to bring her back home, we had issues helping her to get out of chairs/Bed. My brother called Cody and set up a pick up of a lift chair to assist her. They picked up the chair and delivered it to my parents home and set it up for us. Let me start with the positives.... The crew was on time. The guys that were sent out were very kind and worked hard. That is where my positive experience ended. The truck they used was leaking oil, it not only got all over the driveway of our home that we had sold but also all over the driveway of our brand new home. When I sent in pictures of the damage the owner's wife (Summer) told me she would have someone out to clean it. A company did come out to clean the stains but unfortunately they could not remove the oil stains. I sent in pictures again and that is when they stopped returning emails and phone calls. I emailed at least 4 or 5 times with no response and called at least 6 or 7 times without a returned call. When the owner (Cody) FINALLY called me back (more than a month after the incident) he had the audacity to say I was being "demanding". Granted, a month had gone by and I had been more than patient and kind. He kept asking me "What do you want? Money?" I didn't want money (and still don't). I just wanted them to fix the damage that their truck had caused to our BRAND NEW driveway. Cody then told me that the leak from the truck was caused from the people they use to service their vehicles and told me I should call and take it up with them. (Pretty sure that isn't my job. I didn't contract the company, he did.) Long story short, we have been here almost 2 months and Cody has yet to do anything further about the damage. I stopped communicating with the owner and allowed my husband to take over communication with him because he was so rude and disrespectful to me on the phone. I contacted them about potentially moving me from College Station to Spring. I called them at 2:52pm for a quote. The guy on the phone said he was in an office building and that's why he had bad service. He would call me in 10 minutes when he was out. Did not receive a phone call. I called him back at 3:14pm (32minutes later ) and he told me he would call me back after he got out of the elevator. Crickets. I called one more time at 4:08pm (54 minutes later). He told me he had to take his daughter to an appointment and he would call me back at 6pm. I never received a call from him and I did not call him back. I should not have to contact a business three times before they get my business. He never once asked me when, where, or how much we needed to move. I never got a quote or an availability date. He could not have tried harder to get me off the phone and lose my business. I would never recommend them to anybody. Completely unprofessional. read more

The owners (and workers!) are extremely professional and accommodating and will go the extra mile to make their customers smile. The units themselves are clean, roomy, and easily accessible. I rented a Penske truck from this location and was very pleased. The young lady that helped me out was very friendly and helpful. She walked me out to my truck and asked what questions I had and was very thorough. The facility was very clean and well kept, I will definitely store here if I ever need a storage unit. read more
