This review is regarding the RV side. I only give them 2stars (1 would be appropriate) because of their employee Charley, she has been great considering they put her in a position with no experience and basically no help. My issue started back in April with a leak on our slide out. Long short of it, they sold us a camper that had damage from a storm, and they made repairs to it (DID NOT DISCLOSE THAT). The repairs were not done correctly, and it leaked for 2 years! I also have this in writing from them. So, they replaced the slide out, but it continues to leak. The last time I used my rv is in May. Fast forward to all kinds of things that have been done to fix it, but it still leaks. Now I am being told I have to wait for the owner and GM to have a meeting. So, I guess we will see how much integrity Ms Susan the owner has. I hate to bring in attorneys but its looking like that road ahead, unfortunately. Again, Charley has been great!! read more

Wow, just wow !! I didn't think Service like this existed anymore!!! I was getting ready to go to Lonestar Rally and just happened to take a good look at my back tire! It was shot!! I can't believe I didn't notice it earlier! I called up The Ranch Harley Davidson to see if they had a tire which they did. I then asked when I could bring it in to get it put on. They transfer me to Matt in the service department. He was a total professional. He explained to me that they were booked for two weeks. I was like oh no this is going to ruin my whole weekend due to having a shelled out a bunch of money(hotels, parking passes, etc.) for the rally. Matt said the best he could do is ...drop it off in the morning and they would try to work it in but, cannot make any guarantees. At 3:30 I got a call from Matt saying my bike was ready for me to come pick it up!!!!!! That was yesterday 11/6/25! I cannot believe it! I can still head out for rally today as planned!! I sincerely want to thank Matt and his team for taking care of me, when it was 100% my fault for not noticing my tire earlier ! I didn't think this type of service existed anymore. He didn't make any guarantees(honesty) which I respect. It wasn't his problem. It was mine for letting my tire get this bad! But him and his team made it happen for me and I just want to personally thank him for helping me head down to the rally today!! You now have a loyal customer! Thanks again, Matt! read more

Just recently bought another motorcycle from The Ranch Harley-Davidson on trade for the one that we had previously bought from them. I can not say enough good things about this dealership. When you first walk in or even just walk in the parking lot you are always greeted by a member of the staff or even the owners themselves. Every single member of the staff is just so friendly and knowledgeable about all of the products and the motorcycles. We always end up having a great time when we come here and laughing it up with the staff members. More specifically on this purchase we worked with Dorothy (sales consultant), Kevin (Sales Manager), and last but not least Justin (Business) Manager. Dorothy was so helpful when we got there, we were able to tell her what we wanted and what were comfortable with price wise and she was able to show us exactly what could fit within that. They were able to answer all the questions that we had in regards to the bike itself that we bought. At first we werent sure if the deal was going to go through but the sales manager Kevin did everything in his power to help us get on the bike that we wanted within the price range that we gave to them and within what we felt comfortable paying as far as down payment and monthly payment. At the end when we got the deal to where we wanted it to be our business manager Justin was able to get the paperwork together and get us out of there quickly. All in all this dealership is amazing and they are so much more than just another run of the meal Harley Davidson Dealership. Sorry for the late review. Let me start with my initial encounter. I initially went to check out the life time power train warranty offered by this dealership. The customer service was very nice. The young salesman, Chris, was extremely knowledgeable and polite. Surprisingly he knew prices and mileage of the bikes I was looking at without reviewing any paperwork. He wasn't very knowledgeable about the warranty though. The one thing that brought me back a month later was the statement he made. He informed a friend and I he could guarantee any deal I got from any other dealership would be beat. He took me to his sales manager who confirmed this bold statement. After shopping around for a few months and believing the lies I was told I came back and made the purchase. Here comes the bad part. I was given promises and turned down a deal at a better dealership because Chris and his sales manager led me to believe terms we agreed to on text would be upheld. When I showed up they presented a wonderful team effort as we sat down then the BS started. I drove over two hours to meet with two men I assumed were honorable. The sales manger started in with the BS. He told me he couldn't make the deal we discussed in text but offered me another deal. After discussions with others I accepted the offer. I assumed Chris and the sales manager would keep their word but the BS continued. Part of the deal included tire and wheel protection as well as GAP insurance but initially they refused stating it wasn't part of the deal. I had to, for the umpteenth time, refer back to the text messages that were sent. The funniest part was the tantrum the sales manager threw when the finance manager called him into the office to explain what I was talking about. In the end I did receive an acceptable deal but unfortunately this was not the end. The bike was supposed to be delivered with all upgrades and placed inside a trailer so the bike was in the best condition possible. More BS. The bike was on the back of a pick up truck secured to a nice mechanism that lowered the bike to the ground where it was unsecured and pulled off. When I inspected it there were marks all over but they were quickly cleaned by the driver. The last issue was the missing adjustable backrest they agreed to install. Instead they placed a flimsy backrest on there. Prior to signing the final papers the driver called the sales manager and informed him of the issue. He admitted fault and stated I would receive the proper back rest as witnessed by five other witnesses who heard the conversation on speaker phone. He FAILED again. My last recourse was to contact the owner, Mrs. Gibson. I emailed her and received a short and rude reply. Basically stating she was aware of the deal and said I could take my business to Horny Toad if I wasn't happy. I tried to continue communications but she would not take my calls or reply to my emails. If there are doubts I can always provide screenshots of the messages and emails. Forgot to give props to the Clothing manager and the parts manager. Both great guys. The clothing manager has an infantry daughter at Ft. Hood. She's a FIGHTER!! read more

i purchased a 2004 road king from this dealership, with fairing and radio. The purchase was agreed to,( as is, ) if they did a safety check to make sure it was road safe or to let me know what I needed to do to make it road safe. They replaced a back tire, put in a new battery and changed a turn signal. was told i was good to go When the bike was delivered the fairing was damaged, right side totaled The delivery driver even stated that it wasn't damaged two days prior ( he washed the bike) When I called i was told they didn't do it The first time out, i went to stop and the brakes started to pulsate. I went to stop and the bike threw me -- I took it to another dealership, who did a complete inspection and told me the brakes and rotors where shot. I was told any mechanic would have caught this. When I called the ranch, i was told someone would get back to me. All I was asking was help in paying for the brakes. I called again and got hung up on, and still have not heard back So, make sure if you do go there, you have everything in writing and signed by the salesman or store manager --- Gruene HD and Cowboy of Austin are two outstanding and straight up dealerships read more

This has been a while back but i have meant to comment. I took my road king in to get it serviced. Once I got it in, they called me about every little issue trying to up sale. I did a few of them but not the $800 list they said I MUST have. When I picked the bike up and left, I went into 4th gear and the bike started whining horribly. I immediately went back and told them. They started denying responsibility without even looking at the bike. Then he went back and spoke to the tech. When he came back he said yeah the tech noticed that whining when he drove it BEFORE he worked on it. I told him, "so you called me about replacing my throttle cable because it's starting to look bad along with a host of other things but it never crossed your mind to ask about this god awful noise?" He just said, "sir, that's all i can tell you. If you want to leave it we can do whatever repairs are needed." Of course I told him to go jerk off. Independence Harley is all about customer service in sales but responsibility for their products and service... I wouldn't hold my breath. To some extent I appreciate you contacting me. This occurred around May or June of 2013. After I left the shop and by the time I had reached Caldwell, the noise had almost gone away. I parked the bike and for about a month trying to decide what I wanted to do. I had a situation that I needed it and it still wasn't making the noise. At that point I started riding it locally. Then in October I had to go to Houston for a family emergency. On my return home, the clutch cable have way so I ended up having to leave the bike at my sons home, it remained there until spring. I then hauled the bike back to Austin and put it into a local shop. They called me and stated the transmission had nearly 0 fluid. This WASNT something that I did. So my conclusion was your shop. The repair bill was $1200. I should have already wrote this review but because I had allowed so much time elapse without reviewing, i was just gonna chalk it up as experience. Then I read the other reviews the other day and decided my review needed to be on here. Honestly, I'm not interested in any compensation. The money didn't break me. It was the issue that your guy absolutely denied yall could have been responsible before looking at it. Then told me yall would look at it but would have to charge me for that. Yeah like in would even consider getting screwed twice. I know the technician had something to do with this issue. I KNOW. But I'm done with it now. I mean sure you're saying you want to look at making it right BUT the real time to entertain that thought is at the time of the issue. I mean I wasn't look for something free just like I'm not now. I wanted your guys to take a simple look. But after talking to your service manager or whoever he was, I knew there was NO WAY he's gonna admit to this being y'all's fault, even if he figures out it absolutely is. You just count your losses and mark a business off, when this kind of thing happens. I still stop in and buy accessories from time to time but I'll never have service work done there again. read more

Just got totally gouged on a back tire. Told me total for front and rear out the door with everything was $340 a week ago , when I got there after 3 long hours to put on just a rear, screwed me for $294, just for rear tire ! Tried to ask them twice wtf happened ? And just flapped about that didn't incl tubes crap but they already pulled that when I called them. Avoid this place if you can. One of the smaller HD dealerships I've been too, but it was a nice stop. Merchandise staff was nice. I thought it lacked class when I saw one of the salesmen light up a cigarette while talking to a customer outside. Sales manager needs to have a chat with the folks about that. read more

The service is first class. My bike broke down at the Lone Star Rally and after a friend trailered it home to me on Sunday I called The Ranch service department and talked to Blake. He arranged for my bike to be picked up that day (mind you I live in Katy and they are in College Station), fixed the issue, found another issue (oil leak), fixed that issue, then advised me that I had a recall he could get fixed for me before returning my bike. Blake did everything he said he would and my bike is now back with me looking beautiful and running great!!! read more

Wow this store really needs to get its act together!! I am a new rider and never owned a bike. I was looking at getting a bike from here and I had two sale personnel arguing for my sale. It was so bad I ALMOST didn't even want a bike at all! So I decided to go else where and buy the bike. So happy that I did! But I went back (how stupid of me) to order parts. They told me that the parts would be in the next Monday. So Monday comes around and I CALL to see where my parts were and they weren't in. I called the next day and gee they didn't check to see if it was on back order! So now I have to wait a month for something I have already paid for! So sad this is the closest HD dealer to us. I was stuck this weekend on the side of the road 1 1/2 hours away from the dealership in DEW Texas and these guys came to pick me up. I had a flat tire from a poor installation from my home dealership and the Service manager at Independence worked with me and my home service manager to get me rolling again. Everyone was super friendly including the guy who drove hours to pick me up and all the people at the dealership went out of thier way to make us feel at home and comfortable! My only complaint comes from the parts department, as they don't have much in stock and the one man who helped me was interruptive and rude when the computer didn't have my part number (the book did.) First Yelp review I've ever written but because these people were so unethical and the Harley community is there for each other, I felt compelled. On Feb 22, 2019 I negotiated a deal on a 2018 pre-owned Ultra Limited (157 miles) using phone and text communication. We went back and forth and settled on a price. It was close to the end of the working day in TX and I was stuck in a meeting in WA. I texted the salesperson Dorothy and asked if I could provide my CC first thing in the AM to secure the bike. She said absolutely and wished me a great night. The next morning first thing I texted her and got no response. I called her cell, she didn't answer. I finally called the dealership and left a message. 4 hours after they opened she called me back to tell me that they had sold my bike to another person early that morning. She said it was because I didn't provide the payment to secure the bike - remember I gave her the option to ask for it but she said the morning would be fine. She knew that she could have called me before entertaining a new offer, she knew that bike was sold, they took a better offer that served their bottom line and didn't bother to do the right thing and call me. They are unscrupulous and based on another Yelp reviewer that had a similar situation, I'd say they pull this often. Salesperson was Dorothy, sales-manager was either Kevin. I highly advise you to not buy from them - they are unscrupulous and not trustworthy. By the way, if you bought the 2018 twisted cherry Limited from them on 2/22/19 and paid more than $20,600 - you paid too much. That was the price I negotiated and that they agreed upon. Don't believe what they say because their word is not trustworthy. Lots of wonderful Harley Dealerships and the bikes are commodities - go to a different dealership. read more

Nothing but great service from this place. I have bought 2 harley davidson motorcycles from them over the past several years and have all my service done by them. They go above and beyond on everything they do. I had a screw in my tire so I collected the money to get them to replace it. The service manager went to inspect my tire. he removed the screw and checked the tire. He said I didnt need a new tire and that was that. I called and asked for a quote over the phone for a battery. The sales rep quoted the price and I came down to buy it. When I got there another person said that I was quoted a lower price, by about 40 dollors...but sence that was the quote I would be charged that price...who does this? When I bought my first harley the tech tried to talk me into purchasing a smart charger for the battery. A 40 dollor purchase. I said maybe later, so what does he do? Says its very important that i have this so here ya go, and gave it to me for free. nuf said...I wont take my bike to ANY ONE ELSE...PERIOD. Thanks guys. read more
