Daniel's Tree Service is a first-rate company. They do a thorough job, including cutting down to…read morethe ground, removal and cleanup. With so many sketchy companies out there, (particularly after a few big storms) it is refreshing to deal with someone honest and highly competent. Many reviewers throw around terms like "reasonable" or "fairly" priced, only to learn that these are euphemisms for "high priced, but I'm ok with it". Danny is very fairly priced. I thought he did an awesome job and I am pleased with the cost. I would add that the experience with Danny himself is more than a simple transaction. He is very warm and personable. It feels really good to do business with someone you really feel deserves the business. He is committed to doing a great job and he is genuinely trying to do it all right. He communicated frequently and asked permission to come over to survey the area AGAIN and make sure he could get his equipment into the neighborhood w/o impacting my neighbors. So thoughtful! In this day and age, there are so many entitled business owners who have no problem doing the minimum while expecting you to just deal with it. The old commentary comes to mind of "everyone else is doing it this way" and one feels like you need a shower after the interaction. Not so with Danny! I will call on him again when I need to, and I will be referring him to ALL my friends!

We very highly recommend Daniel's Tree Service for any tree work you need. Daniel was very…read moreprofessional and pleasant to work with, thoroughly explained what he was doing, replaced any yard items (chairs, flower pots) that they moved, and completely cleaned up the whole yard before leaving. He was also very reasonably priced. We can't believe how much better our yard looks and will definitely call Daniel for any future work.

The owner Darrell is an amazing business man! So long post so you have the back ground on why he is…read morea great business man! My mom got a letter a year ago about her trees needing to come down per the city the were dead and dangerous (later found out they only reason the city only makes a stink if someone calls the city),nosey ass people! so after that letter she broke her pelvic bone in 2 places and was out in skilled nursing for 8 weeks. So an extension was given until July and we had several tree services come out and bid the jobs. My mom is on a fixed income so the bids were a lot...then I thought I found my saving grace. Ron hill at Hill Top Tree Service what a joke. He was going to do it for $850 and donate his time! I scheduled it and well long story short he never showed or called! This happened on 3 different times, Trevor at Ace Tree Service and cousin of my sons gf who runs a tree service with dad! (Not sure the name). So after everyone flaking out the city sent out Mark Weber with Weber Tree service and at first thought he was a good guy trying to help...of course looks can be deceiving..,he said he would see if the city would let us wait until January where it would be cheaper and it would be $3500 if we had haul off and $5500 if he hauled it off! So he called a week later to advise that the city would not extend again and we needed to get them down but they would take on the charges on the personal property taxes in July of 2022 so we could save the money! I had someone to come get it but it would be the weekend and the city told him (Mark Weber) that it needed to be removed the day they came down...well the people work. He told us to go to the city and fill out some paperwork! while Mark Weber was here he was told if the wood could not be moved the same day and if we got rude with Steven Jackson he would have a Gladstone police make us stay in our home while they wirked and finished so against my rights and well I know most all Gladstone PD. He (Mark) says the city would "make/force" my neighbors take their fence down as they were not agreeable due to Mr. Weber not wanting to take responsibility if the fence got tore up so our options were to take the fence down or he could and any repairs he would increase the price! Unmmmm no unacceptable! So my mom and I make a trip to the city an no papers had to be filled out and he backed up Weber's story. He then Steven Jackson (the city asshole) ask if I had called Darrell Day? I said "who's that"? He said he is a tree guy..."okay smartass i am aware, can I get a number"? So that is when I met a man that runs a business with the Utmost professionalism. I spoke to him and he ask me if I was just given he's number, my response! YEP! He does work for the city of Gladstone a lot and so he made some phone calls to city and he let them know how he felt about waiting to give him his number! He again tried to get them to push it out until January of course that was a NO! So Darrell called and said we will figure this out. He called me the next day and said can you schedule a electrically line drop for 21st and let me know that we had until the end of the month to get the logs out after his crew got it on the ground. He sent his guy out to take the fence down. He moved a couple of jobs around tHe informed me that he and any tree service should take responsibilityp for any fence or anything that was broken due to him and his crew. My neighbors had no problem allowing them to take the fence down. We had a snag with evergy being booked for line drops, but that's okay because Darrell knew some people and he bent over backwards to make sure a line drop was done for the tree removal. He took the cable line down and made sure it was reconnected (they forgot the cable and left) Darrell sent someone out immediately to reconnect it. He came out the night before and sat down with us to go over everything and price and what would be added money wise if he had to return to remove the logs. His crew was very efficient and came out on the 21st got started, worked all day and didn't quite get finished so the returned the next day and got the job finished early. A four day job in 2 days. He called my mom everyday to give us update. He had to cut the poles of our fence out and so he replaced all of those and had the fence put He said it would be the next day for the chain link to go up. So about 3 hours the man came back to put the chain link because he knew how worried about our dogs running off, very kind and professional. My son realized there was a huge hole in the chain that he missed. Darrell had someone out the very next day! I would recommend Day tree service to anyone. He's professional, personable, honest, fair and has amazing communication skills. He was fast and efficient. He does other things besides tree work like home remodel and repairs outside and inside give Darrell a call at 816-532-0864! AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Thank you for a great business sense

We've also used them for aeration and over seeding and been very happy with both of those. The only time they've missed the mark is with mole removal. So we got the typical sod rolled out before we closed on the house. Over time, the rocks and weeds over took our lawn, and we were left with a weed infested ugly lawn adorning our gorgeous modern farmhouse. We talked to several landscapers, many of them recommended, tearing out all of the green space and replacing it after replacing all the dirt. When Ryan's came out to talk to us, discussed their program where our lawn is pretreated for each season, and the lawn is treated for specific weeds or noxious grasses. At the end of the year, our grass is starting to grow back in, we do not have any weeds, including dandelions. We are confident that we saved our grass and avoided expensive re-working of the lawn. I wanted to leave a compliment specifically for the most recent treatment in December 2023. The technicians applied the granules and those are meant to treat the lawn and allow it to sleep for winter. This treatment prevents the early emerging bugs and yuck from spreading in the spring. I watched on my ring camera that they applied the granules all around our lot, but here's the special thing: they took the time to use a leaf blower and remove all the granules from our sidewalk and driveway. That is such amazing service! Not only does this prevent damage to our concrete, but it allows us to have clear sidewalks if we need to treat for snow and ice. That little detail is not something I would've thought of but it's something that I noticed and I want to think them for that extra effort! When they were done with the last treatment of this year, they made sure to let us know, and assured us that they would be back in the spring as we begin 2024 with a healthy lawn.
