Ordered takeout and I was left very impressed. Very fresh ingredients, decent size portions, and amazing service. I ordered the Single Kabob with Lamb Gyro Platter, humus with pita, and one of their delicious baklava's. I requested shrimp as my kabob and it was absolutely one of the best kabob's that I've ever had! Cooked/grilled to absolute perfection with the perfect amount of seasoning. The Lamb Gyro was abundant in tasty lamb meat along with lettuce, red onions, and their delicious white sauce. The platter also came with a side of lemon spice potatoes, lemon rice, and a small Greek salad with Greek dressing. The hummus with pita also included tahini sauce which tasted much like cucumber sauce to me. The humus was absolutely delicious and I definitely could have used more pita bread as it came with four small slices that didn't last very long (they were THAT good)! Be sure to order additional pita bread if you get this side. Next time I definitely will. The Baklava was also very fresh and made for an excellent dessert though I couldn't finish the meal in one sitting all by myself. Plenty of leftovers for myself or the house should they desire. Very impressed with Greek Palace for being a shopping mall restaurant considering it tasted better than ACTUAL restaurants that I've been to! I'm giving a three and that generous. Tiny sliver of tomato , two tiny slices of lettuce, lamb was good but small portion and it was overcooked on tiny store bought pita. I'm not a Greek I'm Italian and I make my own, I came here because surely a restaurant would make it, it's an easy bread to make! Paid extra for sauce abd it was not very good tasted mostly like watery cucumbers, I'm from Portland and used to Egyptian Brother food cart and other yummy Greek restaurants that put this one to shame. The three stars are for their friendliness, the food was very tiny for the price. At other places they have out pickled veggies and more flavorful garlic sauce, honestly this was very disappointing. I love this place! The food is delicious every time I come. It takes some time but is always so delicious that it's worth it.

I loved the gyros! Both the lamb and the chicken gyros were great! I can't say how authentic the place is since I as I've only eaten Greek at places here in Utah, but I loved the seasoning on the meats and prefer this to others I've eaten. I liked the lamb gyro so much I went back the next day and tried the chicken gyro. I loved both. The staff was super nice as well. I had the chicken kabobs, they are delicious! My husband can't stand chicken because it is always dry but even he was impressed because though there was a great char they were still wonderfully moist and tender. The rice is tangy, and the potatoes and salad are both wonderful. I am so glad that I chose to give them a try, I will definitely go back, next time I would like to try the gyro. read more

What a strange place. We've seen it in the middle of the mall before, but never considered eating there until we weee craving Greek food. We chose this over a more chain place. The chicken kabob was ok. The sides were bland except for the potatoes, which were weird. We couldn't decide if we liked them. But the most amount part was the the guy working there. I ordered one kabob with sides and he told me it wasn't enough food- I needed 2- then charged me for 2. Then I ordered a basic gyro plate from the regular menu with only one side because all my son w ages was rice. He pointed to the lunch deals and said "I'll give you this instead", then rung it up and took my card before telling me the price. When I looked at the receipt I realized it had been a lot more than I had planned and be charged me for 2 kabobs, when I said 1, and also up charged me for 3 sides when I ordered 1. The lunch "deal" was not a deal at all and I couldn't compare prices before he run gem up and charged my card. I felt totally bamboozled. And then we didn't even eat one of the kabobs or the extra sides. We won't be back. read more

Probably the worst place I have eaten in Utah to this point. Ordered a Gyro with fries "we are out of fries. Got lemon potatoes. Which were honestly cold as ice and overly seasoned. The gyro meat came straight from freezer to overly hot grill and straight to burnt. My friend asked for hummus, welp no hummus either boys. So he settles for a "Greek" salad. Aka a romaine salad with a singular olive and a singular crumble of feta cheese soaked in Italian dressing. This lovely kitchen leaves any form of care in food prep to the birds and even leaves lettuce off a gyro. I know it is mall food place but still. Haven't had a gyro since I been in Utah (6 years). Sure glad I picked this place at the mall. No kidding, the gyro was very tasty and it felt like I was back in Chicago. Absolutely TERRIBLE!!! If you want to eat Greek food (even just the Americanized Greek food THIS IS NOT THE PLACE! They can't even get the Americanized Greek food right much less resemble anything authentic (of course authentic Greek food is hard to find in the US) but this isn't even close to decent Americanized or otherwise Greek food! I've lived in Greece and in the Greek community in Chicago and have eaten at many restaurants in America that serve "Greek" food and this is by far (in a league of its own) the WORST attempt at Greek food I have ever eaten. Let's start with their "lemon" rice. I don't think the owners know what Greek Lemon rice really is because the garbage overcooked, improperly spiced "rice" is nothing close! The chicken was burnt and also had the absolutely wrong spice profile of anything resembling Greek cooking. I'm not a picky eater but this wasn't even close to anything resembling GOOD much less Greek food. Stay away! The owners should be ashamed of themselves impersonating anything to do with Greek food. Get it together owners! It is amazing that you can go to Crown Burger and get pretty dang good Greek food in addition to their outstanding burgers. The Greek Palace is a disgrace! read more

Used to love coming here, but something is seriously slipping between the two guys running it. They got the lady's order before us wrong, and made it to stay when it was to go. Stopped here for the first time yesterday and wasn't expecting much. It was pretty dang delicious! I had the gryo with lemon potatoes. The potatoes were SO good and the gyro was fantastic. The tsatsiki sauce was on point, the meat was super tender, and the veggies were fresh. The owner was super nice and accomodating. I was extremely un-impressed with Greek Palace at the Layton Hills Mall. It may be because I am Greek and have grown up with Greek food, and recently spent a month back in Greece eating good food, but this was just bad! I got the gyro platter. The gyro meat itself was actually really good, but everything else not so much. The rice pilaf was bone dry, and yellow food coloring was obviously used (which isn't needed with actual Greek pilaf). I was also given potatoes, they were okay, but it was a little weird that they put salad dressing on them. If you want Greek food in the Layton area, just stick with Crownburger. read more
