Drove past this place many times and always wanted to stop by and see if they have gyros. Well we did ! And they did! We were greeted by the cashier pretty quick and he was very attentive and kind. He also waited patiently for us while we starred at the menu. Once we placed our order our food came out pretty quick. We ordered a gyro combo and a falafel combo. The combo came with a side, we chose fries over rice or a salad, as well as a fountain drink. The food was really good. Though I expected my gyro to be a hit bigger and filled with more meat. Usually when I go somewhere and get one they are lacked and a large meal. It was unique that our sandwiches were served in a bag even though we dined in. Though that would be valuable I felt if ordered to go and ate it on the road. Overall the food was good. Even though was small felt satisfied. Grabbed dinner here with the crew at the fire station. We got a good variety of entree's and everyone said it was good. It was pretty quiet at the table with the crew enjoying their food. I got the Falafel sandwich and rice it was really good. I will definitely be eating here again. read more

Based on Yelp ratings I decided to give this fast food Greek place a try. I ordered a gyro combo. I had ordered as a sit down lunch but what I got was a tin of overcooked and crunchy gyro meat on pita, with little flavor from either the tzatziki sauce or half tomato wedge. The orange rice lacked any distinct flavor too. As I ate, banished to my truck, I realized that they hadn't given me the soda cup. I went back in and for some reason was offered two cups. I turned down the second and filled my cup with flavorless ice tea. I dumped it out and got a root beer. Bad experience all around I won't be back. read more

Not a fan. Stopped in at 1pm and Greek Olive gave off the vibe of a food joint on its way out of business: only 3 other patrons and no skewer of gyro meat rotating on the spit. A little too quiet and dark inside. Afraid of finding the sliced meat held in a warming pan, I went for the falafel sandwich. They were reasonably good in texture and fresh fried to order. The proprietors were also reasonably cordial. That is all I can complement the food and experience. They charged me 18% tax ($6.20 on a $5.25 sandwich) and it was a SMALL 6" pita flatbread containing only three regular-size falafel discs, ONE tomato wedge, no red onions, and light on tzatziki sauce (not the worst I've had but far from the yogurt-cucumber-y best). I don't think I'll be coming back with the fam to try the gyros & meat plates. read more

The place looks a little dive-ish, but the food is top notch. I got the gyro plate, the wife got the beef and chicken plate. Also ordered a falafel sammich, baklava, and dolmas and rice. Yes, we over-ordered but we wanted to know what we were dealing with. Everything was excellent. The chicken had some sort of lemon-herb marinade on it. The beef was seasoned with plenty of herbs and the gyros, well, they were gyros that were very well done. I love Greek food, it's my third favorite type of food. It is always hard to find good Greek food; and we'll I have been to Greek Olive a few times and I decided to write a review. First off if you are coming during lunch time either dine in or take out, you should definitely call ahead and order. They get really busy and yes they do their best to get the food out but sometimes yku will have to wait. The staff are awesome, very great customer service. The food is by far delicious, it really is, i was sort of surprised as well. The owner is very friendly and he is one of the people who is cooking as well. I always get the rice and 3 chicken kabobs, i definitely enjoy eating here and taking out when I'm in a rush, i eat here so much the staff all know me and remember my order and right there is what true customer service is. My husband likes greek food and tends to gravitate to a new place to try and compare with his favorites. We stopped in for lunch and it wasn't overly busy but there were several customers beside us. The location is in a strip mall and has entrances in front and back with a hallway/tunnel type feel inside. You order at the counter and then choose your seat and wait for the food to come. I ordered the Chicken Gyro which came with greek salad and rice. I really liked the gyro flavor and the white sauce added just the right amount of juicyness to the meat and pita. I also ordered the chicken rice soup. I like it when the soup is lemony and this one didn't disappoint. read more

I had to pay for an additional side - which was no problem but in all honesty for $3.99 I should have received more side then what was given; but I've noticed Utah transplants legit make sure they cater to the majority vs the minority. I watch a lot of masterchef so imma just act like one a food critic really quick- I'll just point out the stuff I wish was done different. You can assume everything else was great. 1. On the gyro sandwich, I wish that the onions were cut in strips, not diced. I forgot to ask for no onions and it would have been easier to pick them off this way. But also I'm pretty sure that they are in strips traditionally. Also these were white onions instead of red. Not that I personally care but others might. 2. On the gyro sandwich, there was just one slice of tomato, about 1/8th of a Roma tomato. It could have done with a little more, and also diced. It wasn't fun to have to try and ration the tomato by taking bites. 3. I would have preferred the cucumber sauce to have been squirted on for better distribution. It was just a dollop and I had to spread it myself. 4. My husband got fries with his gyro, but the serving portion was pretty small. Just a little surprised, was hoping for more. 5. I got the lemon rice. The flavor was spot on, but it seemed like it just wasn't mixed all the way. Some bites were more lemony than others. 6. I would have appreciated some sort of garnish to make the dish look a little prettier. Even just a slice of cucumber would have been a nice touch. Overall though, great experience. This has become a weekly go to for my lunch rotation. The food is cooked to order, owners on site, and the prices are fair. They have your standard Mediterranean food, falafel, souvlaki, gyros, lemon rice, baklava. I usually stay with a souvlaki plate, but the gyro meat is pretty great here. The standard plate comes with fries or rice, but they will allow you to sub in potatoes, which are pretty good. The owners are both nice people that are on site, which is a big plus for me. read more

No appetizers per se, i.e. baba ganoush or hummous for the pita. But, for $8.99 I was able to have gyro meat, rice and a salad, and my husband had the double chicken plate with same sides. Was after 2P on a weekday. Salads were good, his chicken was tasty and tender, my meat was overcooked, and the rice was okay. I never quite figured out how I was supposed to eat the gyro plate, since the sauce - which seemed more sour cream than tzatziki - was on top of the meat, and the only lettuce and tomato were the salad which was covered in dressing. It was served in a round aluminum to go container, which is smart packaging, but for someone who enjoys the taste of food and not the taste of food run together, it was a miss. Food is cooked to order so it takes a few minutes to hit your table. That's a GOOD thing in case you were wondering. Prices are good and they have all the basics (except dolmathes). Things we tried: Gyro : meat was exceptional. Great Tzatziki sauce (goes great on everything.) Beef / Chicken kabobs: Both were juicy and very flavorful. Sometimes chicken dries out but these were spot on. The rice and salad sides were great too. The pita was, well, pita. Worth the stop. I can't recommend this place enough! Their falafel combo was fantastic, and the falafel itself was packed with flavor and had a great texture! I also enjoyed their lemon rice, since it had a well balanced flavor and wasn't overwhelmingly lemony. The server/manager provided us with some of the greatest customer service I've encountered, and gave our daughter a sucker and made her smile a lot! She also enjoyed the food as much as my husband and I. One thing I should note though, make sure to specify if you want tzatziki sauce. I requested to not have cucumber on my falafel sandwich, and they didn't put tzatziki sauce on it. I can understand that since the sauce has cucumber in it, that may have been why. Although I didn't want chunks of cucumber, I do love tzatziki sauce, so I'll be sure to mention that next time! read more

We like to support our local businesses/ restaurants as close to our home as possible. This was our first time that we were able to visit the Greek Olive since they were closed for a couple weeks last summer when we first tried. We ordered takeout, which was an unpleasant experience. When my husband picked up the order the woman was very rude (maybe just a cultural misunderstanding). As far as the food: Chicken Souvlaki was great, loved it. Gyro sandwich on the other hand, We've had much better. Probably won't go again UNLESS I'm really hungry for souvlaki( which was AMAZING) I posed 3 stars mainly for that. We love this place! We have been here many times. I usually get the chicken skewers and they come with rice, pita bread and a salad. The flavor of the chicken is so good and it is never dry, always tender. My husband agrees that the chicken is very good but he loves the gyros here too. The service is always quick and good. Very good greek food which left me with a satisfied and healthy after feeling. I ordered the beef and chicken kebab platter. I was kind of surprised that it was actual beef and not steak because it is usually steak at these kinds of places. I was pleased with the beef though. It was beef mixed with some herbs and seasonings and grilled onto the stick. It was a pleasant change. The chicken had a great taste and consistency to it as well. The rice and naan were both good too. The naan was baked with some flavors infused into it that made it really good. Overall I was very happy with the flavors and healthiness of the plate.
