First observation was a dieing plant in the corner of the dining room. If they can't take care of a plant, do they take care of the kitchen? Next we ordered water....they don't have free water. They only have $1.95 bottled water. The large Greek salad was good, but I would not call it large. The spanikopota was almost inedible. Really wanted to like it since Little Greek closed and this is the only option. But I will just go without Greek food. read more

Great food in a cozy family owned resturaunt. The spicy feta is fantastic and the Gyro meat was cooked to perfection. Slight crunch on the outside and tender inside. I got the gyro platter with rice. The male owner is not just rude he is mean and abusive to his staff AND his customers. The food prices recently went up unbelievably high while the portions, which were already small, shrank considerably (should be either/or). The zucchini and eggplant are rotten with tough skin, the 'large' salads are the size of a side salad at other restaurants. Avoid this place at all costs. We paid $43 today for a meal worth $20. Will never go back. They messed up our order then forced us to pay for it, then when we complained he told my husband to get the f*** out of his restaurant. Nice! read more

This is a really great tradition in Quincy. A Greek restaurant run by Greeks! They were a downtown fixture until a storm took out their building. In their current location, Greek To Me is a very nice family-run Greek restaurant. The restaurant is very cute, with a salad bar in the middle of the dining area. Everything appeared to be fresh and crisp. This being our first visit, we had a few questions for the waitress, and she was very accommodating, since we arrived before the noontime rush. Her attitude was pleasant, and she seemed happy to answer our questions and make suggestions. Our party of four tried a variety of items. We had falafels as an appetizer, a couple of gyros, a Greek Feta Salad, and a Classic Greek Eggplant Moussaka. Everything was fresh and delicious, prepared in their open kitchen along one wall of the restaurant. The garlic pita bread was pillowy and delicious. The authentic tzatziki sauce and cilantro dip were also very good. read more

ABSOLUTELY GROSS!!! Not the food(never got that far) literally got in the door and the owner was screaming obscenities and everything under the sun to the staff and fellow patrons. Then proceed to CHASE me out the door to my car and scream "F*** You!" "Go F*** yourself" and "Your a F***ing joke!" Over and over again repeatedly. Not to mention the COMPLETE lack of proper hygiene and food safety practices(handling RAW meat then sticking their hands in the order bags, on the counters, cash registers, OTHER FOOD, ect.) Just as other reviewers have mentioned, the owner chased our family into the parking lot yelling obscenities to us and our young children! It was like nothing I've ever witnessed before! Completely crazy. I don't know how this place has stayed open. The food was decent but overpriced, especially for the portion size. We spent over $75 and left still hungry and very thirsty. They won't even give you a glass of water, you must buy it for $1.50 a bottle. The atmosphere is sad - an old Pizza Hut building with dark curtains and the empty salad bar still in the middle. Dismal bathrooms. The waitress was kind. We felt bad for her working in such a horrible environment. Maybe she was family? Please find somewhere else in Quincy to eat. My son and I ate there last week, the waitress was very nice and friendly. The food was good. The owner was a complete jackass, honestly the rudest person that I have ever come in contact with. We were there late afternoon and I did not realize that they we had to pay at cash register, so had my debit card on table with the bill, waiting for waitress to come get it. I was just chatting with my son while we waited. Well then the vaccum started, and I looked over and the owner was just standing and staring at us..weird. So I asked the waitress if I was to pay her and she said no that we needed to go to cash register..she apologized for not telling us sooner.So I went up to pay and I complimented his staff and food and he just glared at us. Like he would not speak, just glared. I told my son when we left how awkward that was, most normal people would say thank you. Greek to Me is as much a Quincy tradition as Tower or Elders or Maid Rite or Tiramisu or Mr Bills when it comes to local staples - if you know where to look. They were a downtown fixture until a storm took out their building. Their location on North 24th has more seating and parking and has allowed them to stretch out a bit. Our service has always been good and fast, especially during lunch. Most of the seats at the 24th St place have a good view of gyro meat cooking, which is fun to watch. Gyros are good, Greek salads are good, the salad bar is good but you can't slap together a Greek salad on it, and we've had some good daily specials. They have a few craft and domestic beers and a few wines. I've seen baklava but haven't had it yet...looked good. Order the saganaki. read more

Excellent excellent food!!! I had the Armenian chicken with a Greek salad, potatoes, and pita bread. Absolutely amazing. The taziki sauce is homemade and so yummy. As an out of towner, however, I was unfamiliar with the menu and had a few questions for the waitress. Her attitude was snappy and she seemed highly uninterested in my queries, so I dived in hoping for the best results in spite of my lack of informative guidance. this is a hometown place. Downtown Quincy. It was fun to visit and the salad bar was nice. Don't expect too much, it's a college town, but I can tell you I saw the cook and she is a very old greek lady and she knows what she is doing. You want greek... this is authentic greek food! I loved it. Later in the night an older gentleman and customer started to dance and a few others joined in. That was fun and where else can that happen? The food was good and plentiful. Quincy's only Greek-style eatery. The food is pretty good if a little pricey. Service can be slow, and not much thought has been given to presentation or atmosphere. I love this place, prices are reasonable and you get authentic, ethnic food in the heart of Midwest. I ordered moussaka yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The other all times favorite is the flaming cheese (saganaki), if you like cheese (and I mean different kinds - feta, goat, Parmesan) then try it, it's yummy! Disrespectful and unreliable. Just ate here for lunch. One of today's special was the shrimp taco, it was listed above the shrimp salad. The only price listed was $8.99 that that would imply that that's the price of the shrimp tacos. I receive a bill for $11.XX dollars. I asked why I'm being charged more and our waiter said "that's the special price" after she told me $8.99 which she also read off of the sign. After asking the middle aged woman behind the counter she said the sign is wrong and that she's "sorry." She did not attempt to fix her mistake. read more

We visited GTM for the first time. We are "experts" with Greek food. Gyro meat was good but not great. Rice was tasteless and flat. Grandma was working the kitchen with son which was nice to see but touching and preparing food without gloves and hair nets. Wait service was a nice gal training another gal who really didn't want to be there. They checked in but drinks not updated once. The salad bar was ok for an add on vs a dinner. I recently visited as a doordash driver. Upon arrival the owner was being rude to a customer. Telling him he could not ask prices or ask about menu items on the phone. He told me to go somewhere else and wait 15 minutes for my order. (Turned into 45). I still waited inside. I observed him handling raw foods, then the telephone and prepared foods all without washing his hands. Neither was his helper I assume his mom? Idk. Nor wearing gloves. No ac in building so pretty warm as well. He then placed a bag on the counter I assumed was mine. I approached and never touched the bag. He pointed at me 2x and told me to get away and take a seat. (Getting angry now). Finally order is ready 45 minutes later. I told the waitress he needs to fix his attitude and walked out. The owner is now waiting for me outside. And aggressively approached me. Tells me i am never to come in his restaurant and grab another customers food. Which I never did. Then proceeded to call me a joke and my job a joke. Then tells me to f off and to go f myself. I'd avoid this so called business at all costs. Also told me I need to study his menu and learn it. So I dont order what's not available. read more

The owner is the rudest person I have EVER met!! I was eating there with a friend I was visiting and there was another party with a toddler sitting near us. The toddler was dropping food on the floor, as toddlers do, and the mother was told by the owner to clean it up herself. When the mother asked for a broom from the waitress, the owner told her "no, pick it up with your fingers!". How mortifying!! When the mother and her toddler left, I heard the owner call her a fowl name. We shall never go back there!! read more

What a pleasant surprise in Quincy! The decor is a bit outdated, but there are beautiful pictures of Greece. It feels like you're there! We enjoyed a gyro, Greek salad, and avgolemono soup. The gyro was FAB. Toasted pita, good amount of gyro meat (juicy and delish) and yummy, fresh veggies. I can't believe previous reviewers said it was pricey?!?? $5 for a gyro is awesome in my book! Only Greek restaurant in Quincy. It's good and priced well. The owner is the nicest lady ever. She comes over to the table to make sure the meal is good. At night she comes by with Greek liquors and offers each patron a shot of choice. Salad bar is great! I typically order the Greek salad and although it's made with iceberg lettuce (not my favorite), it's a great salad. Good portion size! The ambiance is nothing special. read more
