We found the golf course fun and playable, and super well-maintained, with super staff. Highly recommend it. Unfortunately, the second part of our rating pertains to the other amenities, specifically the clubhouse, which underwhelmed because although it was an unbelievably stately facility, there was no food or drinks to be had. Couldn't get a good feel for what ownership's intent is here. But again, 5 stars for the golf course, 2 stars for the amenities, 4 stars for the potential.

There is a sign in the parking lot which leads to the trails, which at the beginning a map is provided. Get ready, the signature is well marked, and it's very easy to not get lost. All of the trails cover less than a mile with a mixture of scenery, not with a lot of views but enough to soak in nature. There is some tripping hazard along the trail with rocks and tree roots, so please take caution. There are also tables, a pavilion, playgrounds, a swimming pool, and also a disc golf course. Summer Day Camp is provided at Hackett with these names mentioned. Hackett has a lot to offer in all areas, don't miss out.

There is also a skateboarding park added to the mix and also a pavilion. One trail is provided in the park which is assigned orange and loops around Pinewoods, going through the woods with gradient changes (be careful) and cutting through the grassy field. It also parallels the Crum Elbow Creek with a waterfall making it a highlight from an upper view and getting close to the water. Something to be careful of is the mud that covers the trail. Obviously, with heavy rains, it can be a huge issue, but take caution as it can be slippery. Sunny days for a period of time shouldn't be a concern, but they can still be there. Getting around it can be done, but requires climbing and can be steep on the dry area. Maybe an upgrade could be a benefit for this issue. All in all, a good park to check out.

Bower Park I'd say is one of those parks where it's not visible from the main road, and located on…read morea small road making it unkown. Going down the access road leads to a parking lot with a playground and two soccer fields providing a walking track. Past the playground is a trail up the hill which is named the Quarry Trails providing five paths, indicated by colors red, yellow, turquoise, blue, and green. The trails does a big loop expect the green, leading to the Wappingers Creek. For history geeks, the red trail approximates an old railroad line called the Poughkeepsie & Eastern Railroad going from Poughkeepsie to Millerton. I really like the trails, as it's peaceful and easy to follow. The trails are not to difficult, but beware of bugs and ticks being out and about.
