These are volunteers who make it their mission to care for these animals. We try to get in a few times a year to help out. I should also say that we have received one cat from them who was in perfect health. And we had to surrender another cat that we found abandoned. Thank you for the work that you do!

They have very fair prices and sell everything you'd need like food and all kinds of dog/cat accessories. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a new furry friend or looking for supplies for your current one!

Fortunately, they scanned the microchips and corrected the error. We are repeat adopters, with a history of four cats adopted over the years. :-) The normal procedure (according to the adoption paperwork and online) is to fully register the microchips at www.petlink.com and I can then add a photograph to the listing and take advantage of the "extras" should anything happen with our cats. I checked the registrations so I could add the photographs. I was surprised to learn that their microchips were not in the system and I immediately registered both, but at the basic level. I telephoned Noah's Ark and spoke to Madison on the first Saturday of June to ask if they could upgrade the listings (as was done with the other four cats). She stated she would look into it and telephone on the upcoming Tuesday. Nothing. I emailed Brook describing what had happened but received no response. The email did not bounce so I believe she received it. Lastly, I telephoned Noah's Ark the first week of July and asked to speak with Stephanie, the manager. She was not in, but Marsha (the office manager) told me to telephone today (July 15) and ask for Brooke. Why? I have been ghosted more than once and we adopted multiple cats (all have worked out well). The correct (and professional) way to handle my call was to take a message or advise as to best date and time to call back to ensure reaching Stephanie. We also donated a great amount of dog supplies, food, and cat food. It would not have taken much to upgrade the microchip registrations to the Premium Lifetime Level. I am retired and only want what was promised in the contract.

From the start, it was clear how much the staff truly cares for every animal that comes through their doors. They made sure Rudie, then called Dana, was healthy, loved, and ready for her forever home. These pics are from the day we drove from Chicago to Madison to bring her home. Over the years, we came to understand what people mean when they say, "who rescued who." Rudie brought more love, laughter, and comfort into our lives than we could ever have imagined. We're deeply grateful for the joy she gave us and for the compassion this shelter shows every single day. We lost Rudie last month, and while our hearts are heavy, we're endlessly thankful for the seven beautiful years we shared. She was family in every sense, and that's because this shelter gave her such a strong start. The love, care, and respect they show every animal make all the difference. Losing her reminds us just how special adoption truly is. Thank you for helping us find our best friend.

I showed up that day and they asked me about preferences then brought out a super cute puppy (I have since named her Vivian!) for me to meet. I asked lots of questions and the person working with me answered them easily, which felt good to me because it indicated they know the dogs at their shelter and are prepared with the information potential adopters need. I spent time with Vivian and she was confident and cuddly, and after bringing my first dog to meet her and seeing them interact positively, I said I was ready for the next steps. I adopted her and she's been super sweet and cuddly, what a lovely pup :)
