One of my tacos was so soppy it actually fell apart when I attempted to lift it. For around $3 taco I don't think this is the best place to go. I'd recommend Taco Bell to someone before I suggested this place. read more

We had great service today, and GREAT food. I had one of each... shrimp, fish, steak taco. Fish taco was my favorite, but all very tasty. Gauc was fresh, as were the chips! Their tomatillo sauce is also dynamite! Very impressed with this place, particularly since it's only been open a very short time! Please note, they only accept cash right now. Excellent I had the shrimp and steak burrito and it was amazing. No grease like other places just clean tasty food the shrimp and steak were cooked great and the people were very nice and timely. I didn't know but if you order the hot salsa you will get what you order. I like heat so I wasn't too overwhelmed but to someone not a custom to it might be too much. read more

I am not quite sure how this place has gotten so many 5 star reviews, the food was pretty bad. I live in Texas, we have lots of taco places and I was interested in trying a place around here to see what it was like. I was very disappointed. The style is the same, but the quality is poor. The chips and queso was terrible, it was basically milky cheese, almost soup like with no flavor. I ordered three carne asada tacos and they were not good either, the quality of the meat was pretty bad, even for skirt or flank steak. These also lacked flavor and their 4 salsa options didn't help. Definitely won't go back. The waiting staff was very nice and attentive. read more

I am NOT a fan of typical Americanized, Mexican restaurants, so the Green Ghost is a refreshing change. It is one of the few authentic Mexican places in town. Great guac/soups...tacos/burritos are usually pretty tasty...love their tortillas...staff is friendly and welcoming. read more

What a waste. I will never be returning to this location. I have gone to Green Ghost Tacos a few times and it's...okay. It's usually my go to because I'm Jackson, many other restaurants close earlier in the night. I am super irritated that I used the yelp app to order through grub hub only to have a notification that my food was ready for pick up an hour after I placed my order. when I went to pick up my food, of course, the gentleman stated, "they never received my order." At this point, super annoyed but hey, what can I do, I already paid. So he told me it would be about 5 min to cook a chicken quesadilla. Like the hungry person I am, I waited. About 20 min later, he hands me my food, I ask for some sour cream on the side and he tells me, "that will be 75 cents" I couldn't believe my ears... this was too much trouble for a quesadilla on a Saturday night for subpar food and less than poor customer service. Food was absolutely delicious! My husband and I got their tacos. Our favorites were the chorizo and the chicken, respectively. The tortillas were so fresh and fluffy. Salsas were awesome. We watched as the owner hand mashed the guacamole with a mortar and pestle. The rice was excellent. Being from Los Angeles, we are quite particular with our refried beans, but these were pretty good. The cheese on top really helped. We heard the owner talking to another customer and he said they don't freeze any of their food so all of the ingredients are fresh. They had Jarritos sodas for sale so you know they're the real deal. I'm not one to dock stars so long as the food is good cause that's what really matters if we're being honest. But, their location may be too small and understaffed for the volume of customers as there is very limited seating and the servers take a while to attend to customers. Like I said, I don't mind if the food was good but I could see others get a little impatient. We will make this a regular stop when we come into Jackson. Overall I definitely would give this place a try if you want to try authentic Mexican tacos! Wish I got the chance to try more of their food, but alas, I must return to Merdian (middle of nowhere) so try it for me. read more

Food was good. I will come back, had chicken, pork, steak tacos. All three were cooked nicely none of the meats were dried out. They do go more the authentic style shell, meat, onion, and cilantro. Simple and good. They do have 4 different sauces they make in house to top anything with the smoky sauce goes good on the guacamole. Wife had the shrimp burrito was a very large stuffed burrito that she didn't finish and side of corn the cooked in a cream was also good. Best authentic Mexican restaurant in town! I try to eat here at least twice a week! The tacos are always freshly made and well seasoned! Their guacamole is some of the best I have ever had. They have amazing horchata! The thing that sold me on this place though was their made in house salsas! (You have four to choose from) Some places say they have hot salsa and I'm usually disappointed, but not here! There's is truly spicy! The owners are always there and are super nice! Absolutely love this place. They offer a great selection of authentic Mexican tacos. The guacamole was very good and I'm kind of picky when it comes to my guacamole. They offer a few different sauces that are good and they even have horchata which you can't find at every Mexican restaurant. The food here is great! I like how chill it is, I just grab a menu and sit and they're always there ready to offer me a drink and take my food order. My favorite are the empanadas!! I love how if I want something that is not on the menu, they'll still make it for me. I would not choose anywhere else to go to get this delicious food! Other restaurants beware, Green Ghost Tacos is bringing incredible flavors and fresh, authentic, Mexican cooking to Jackson. Their tacos were incredible, and their tacos de lengua were equally as good as the best lengua I've had in Mexico. Their tortas are large and deliciously prepared with fresh ingredients. The little flourishes like grilling the cheese adds flavor and love to their great food. The quesadilla was legendary. We stretched the cheese across the table and giggled with glee at the wonderful flavor and fun. The chicken in the tacos and torta was spiced with a delicious savory flavor, but not hot. The guacamole was vivid green, fresh, and perfectly prepared. My wife and I sat in awe as we enjoyed the food and later agreed that it was the first time we've felt like we've had authentic, well prepared Mexican food since we moved to Jackson. This really is an excellent restaurant, and I plan to return many times. read more
