I share this to offer an understanding of my perspective about Koyfman Colonic & Whole Body Cleansing (KC) I had my first colonic at KC early morning Xmas Eve. The front desk presentation is so warm and welcoming. The staff is in uniform and clearly everyone is living a lifestyle of health and wellness: clear skin / bright eyes / warm smiles / physically well balanced. The therapy rooms are EXCEPTIONALLY clean and comfortable. Light spa jazz music is played in the background. Dr. Igor Koyfman, who is the son of the original founder, Dr. Yakov Koyfman, has such a very calm and patient presence about him. He thoroughly explained the procedure to me. KC has both the open AND closed system therapies. I chose the open thinking it would be like any other typical Angel of Water or Libby. The basic set-up is the same, However ... the re-engineered gravity flow, designed by Dr. Koyfman, is something I had never experienced. I felt the water traversing in the deepest / furthest regions of my colon - no pressure At All. This was the DEEPEST cleanse I have ever experienced in my 30 years of being a client of a colonic spa. Even as a therapist myself, and I really enjoyed my work, I now know my clients did not get this deep of a cleanse, although their sessions were amazing - according to their reviews. I have made a commitment to cleanse / detox ONLY at KC every 2-3 months when I return to the states. In the metropolitan of Atlanta, there are a few colonic centers and I have been to Most of them, seeking this kind of overall experience. I must say, literally ... the pins/needles they use are so thin I didn't feel most of them being used ... and the few that I did feel were no big deal ... not like a blood draw or an injection or bee sting or pinch or even a finger prick for Diabetes testing ... I was SHOCKED as to how "non-eventful" it was. Leena is extraordinary at what she does. Was incredibly patient with all of my "phobic questions" and made sure I was comfortable and peaceful through the entire session ... and I WAS! She is a very intuitive, empathetic practitioner in this field and knows her stuff!! Not only are my original issues resolving (adrenal dysfunction, insomnia, Type 2 Diabetes, hormonal unbalance, etc) I am getting my life back thanks to Leena's intuition regarding my vocal flap paralysis! She is normally located in Norcross, but works out of the SS location on Thursdays. I've come to her for a variety of mild middle aged discomforts; aches, pains, stress, fatigue, insomnia, focus, etc. Dr. Cho is amazing at what she does. I have seen value in every visit. Mild headaches are gone, I sleep better, my focus and creativity are better. I've never been able to meditate, or at least it's very difficult for my "squirrel" brain. I've been able to successfully meditate while visiting Dr. Cho. If you want information about how she will approach an issue, I would recommend asking about her process and coming prepared with questions. She is kind, friendly, prompt and although acupuncture is not cheap, her prices align with reasonable industry standards. This location is in an office building on the 5th floor. Although that sounds awkward, it's easy to get to, ample/free parking and the suite is quiet and peaceful. I, personally, prefer this to a hectic Buckhead location with stressful, expensive parking any day. I also recommend this center in general if you are interested in holistic medicine.
