The food here is decent for a takeout place! I don't have too much to say about this place generally speaking, their menu contains your takeout classics. I was unable to identify any real traditional Chinese dishes, but I am not surprised based solely on the location. They were pretty accommodating when it came to requesting a custom order. I asked for their home style tofu with chicken. They were happy to make the order. The flavors here were pretty good and the portion sizes were reasonable. Overall, this is a great place for me to stop at for a relatively quick and easy meal without too much interacting. Ordered the "Two Flavor Chicken," which is supposedly one of the most popular dishes. I got a soggy, deep fried mess, that tasted like it came out of the fryer last Tuesday. In addition to the soggy breading (and since when do they deep-fry teriyaki??) the chicken itself was tough and ropey--way overcooked. And everything congealed into an oily brick of indigestion. It'll fill your belly, but it's bland and seems like American Chinese. Anything fried is very greasy. The crab rangoon has no flavor and the General Tso is very sweet. The eggrolls and other menu items seem like they are from a bag. The shrimp and broccoli was good, though. I am originally from an area that has a dense Chinese population and the restaurants are very authentic and very good. First of all this is a stretch to use the label "Chinese" and restaurant in the same sentence regarding this place. It's very much American Chinese, so don't expect it to be authentic. I break my reviews down into different sections, then average the ratings for an overall score. Location: Located in a giant strip mall in Tilton. It seems to be far away from anywhere and anything. I guess my 3 miles drive here wasn't relatively long, but I think this is a pretty poor location. Rating: 2 Stars Facility/Ambiance: It's in an ugly, giant strip mall. The inside looks like a shabby cafeteria. No ambiance whatsoever. Rating: 1 Star Menu/Authenticity: American Chinese. Largely sweet and sour stuff and lot's of breaded fried meats. Very large menu and a few vegetarian options were a plus. Rating: 2 Stars Food Quality: Poor...very poor. Super greasy and way overcooked. I had the spicy noodles and they were noodles but they weren't spicy. They were floating in a mess of grease gravy and the noodles were so over cooked that the phrase al dente seemed to be crying out in pain. What is with the restaurants in this region with their overcooking. Are they afraid to deliver the food with some texture? The food was a virtual desert for vegetables. There were a few sad looking little pieces of meat and that is all. The noodles were wheat but appeared to be more Italian in origin than Chinese. Not much else to say. Hopefully other dishes are better. Rating: 1 Star Service: None to speak of. You order at the counter, get a grunt and pay. Then you get your food, but not the hot tea you ordered. You'll then be busing your own table. Wish I knew all this before I tipped. Rating: 1 Star Value: The only category to break the 3 star range. This is CHEAP food. Super CHEAP! I think it was $5-6 for a meal. I'd still rather pay twice this much and double the food quality though. At this price it makes one wonder what the food is made of. I got a takeaway of sweet and sour, special fried rice prawn toast and an egg roll .... it is absolutely disgusting! It's full of grease and tastes like old oil - never have I had such gross tasting Chinese food before - the pork looks like McDonalds nuggets and is just full of the frying oil.... This is not a great place for real Chinese food and I bet the people working there don't eat this junk either - just nasty! read more

It was a very snowy day, I was driving past, and I was hungry, so I decided to stop in and try a few of my favorites, which I was delighted to say were listed on the menu. I called ahead to pick up my order. When I arrived, there were what I THOUGHT were two customers ahead of me, so I stopped in the restroom. Came out, and "Gary from China" behind the counter was STILL kicking it with "I forget his first name, from Guam". I finally realized that this bonding moment was going to continue at least until I got into line, so I got in line behind Chatty From Guam and friend. They talked for probably another five minutes, at which point they FINALLY SAT DOWN after exchanging phone numbers and names. Sigh. So, Gary from China finally sees me, goes over to a fry cooker, and my heart sinks as he dumps what turned out to be my BLACK shrimp toast. BLACK, as in burned to a crisp. The REST of my order had been cooling/congealing on the counter nearby, which I had watched, PRAYING that it wasn't my order as they chatted. I don't know if this food would have been good if the three of them hadn't been bonding while half of my order cooled-unwrapped, just sitting forgotten on the counter-and the other half deep fried away ALSO forgotten until, as Gary could PLAINLY see when he FINALLY remembered he had an order of shrimp toast burning, was COMPLETELY BLACK. I've never had an experience like that in my life. He should have been tending to my order while he bonded with the guys from Guam, that's the very least he should have done. This restaurant is ok if you get your order to go. The tables are sticky and gross I'm not sure they are ever wiped down. The food tastes good, but always upsets my stomach, so that's another reason why I have to get my order to go. read more

This is one of my favorite places for take out or dining in when it comes to Chinese food in our town. They have great food that is cooked fresh and fast at very reasonable prices. You can find anything from traditional Chinese food to special Hunan and Mongolian style dishes on their huge menu. The owners, which are usually always there, are very friendly and helpful. They keep the place really clean and they have the one of the hghest health department scores out of the local oriental restaurants. It is small and quiet with a casual and welcoming atmosphere.
