Billing is quick and simple (done online) and correspondence is done in a way that's simple and easy for me at least (via email) with responses usually done within a day or so. They cut down the tree and hauled it away. Then they found the wires and pipes. Then they used a track hoe to dig up the tree roots. It was huge mess but they hauled it all away. They also dug up a really big flower bed. They moved valve boxes, augmented the soil, and planted bulbs. They smoothed the patio area and filled it with layers of gravel and sand. They measured the grade and made a plan for drainage. They brought blocks and caps and pavers from a local source. They built the steps, carefully fitting together the corner joints. Then they built the walls and glued down the caps. To place the pavers, they started with a circle and wove a pattern around it. They added a border in a contrasting shade. To make the pavers fit together, they had to cut each one with a heavy saw. Every piece had to be measured and marked and cut. They did it with teamwork and rapid precision. They sanded the floor with polymeric sand to seal it. Then they helped me move the furniture and hang the artwork. The project took less than a month. Every day they left the work site as neat as a pin. I paid them very well for doing this work and you should too.

They quoted us $1,850 and promised it would look "professional and clean" within two days. What a joke. They showed up late both days, left huge piles of old leaves and branches scattered across the yard for us to deal with, and barely touched half the shrubs. The mulch they dumped is uneven, full of sticks and weeds, and they spread it way too thin in some spots and piled it up against the house in others--like they were trying to hide the fact they didn't weed first. Now my foundation is probably going to rot. The lawn edging looks like it was done with a drunk weed eater. Crooked lines everywhere, and they scalped the grass in several patches so bad it's brown already. One of my rhododendrons got completely hacked up--branches just snapped off and left lying there. When I called to complain, the owner got defensive and basically said "that's how it's supposed to look" and "you should have been more specific." We paid half upfront like they asked, and now they're dragging their feet on coming back to fix anything. I had to spend another $300 just to have a different crew come clean up their mess so our yard doesn't look abandoned. Save yourself the headache and money. There are plenty of honest landscapers in Sherwood and Tigard who actually know what they're doing. This company ruined our spring curb appeal and wasted two weekends of my time. Never again.
