I've desperately needed my back yard lawn replaced for awhile. I had a large tree removed and had a giant hole where I staged some gravel for another project. I received a few competitive bids and SLM stood out the most. Rafael and his dad came out quickly, gave a competitive number, and showed up on time. They saw a few of my other needs and proactively gave me a bid for that work also. They showed up early on their scheduled day and quickly got to work. They removed my old lawn, added in new soil, leveled everything, and put in new sod. My lawn looks amazing!! They even put the leftover soil in my flower beds and raked it out. I'm writing this review just an hour after having received their service. My family is moving and we're prepping the house up before it goes on the rental market. Our small yard was wild - overgrown grass / weeds / moss, dead leaves and a tree that needed a trim. Santiago Lawn Maintenance came and cleaned everything up very nicely. Communication was fantastic - I'm embarrassed to say they responded way faster than I could respond back (something rare when looking for services and leaving messages at service providers). I initially contacted them through Yelp, then met Rafael & Santiago at our yard for a complimentary estimate, which we appreciate a lot. During the estimate/meet up, they were very polite, honest, and transparent about what they would do, what could be done, and things to be aware of such as how long to keep our dog off the grass after the spray for de-weeding. It was a detailed run through of expectations and prices were very reasonable. Today, they came and transformed our yard into a nice outdoor space. We didn't add anything, it's really just a big cleanup but it made all the difference. They spent about 1.5 hour doing what used to take us 2 weekends to do, and a way better job than we could've done. Hands down a great experience. Not only were they promptly responsive and easily reachable throughout the process, but their quote/price for the job was perfect (and anywhere from $150-1000 under several of their competitors price!). They measured the lawn (which I needed it to be replaced with a new one), checked the landscape after I removed a tree stump and made sure it was ready for work. I like that they were putting effort in planning and making sure things are ready so there won't be any las minute surprise. 2. Great quality. 3. Great price. The price was given by listing everything details, like number of sods needed, labor, etc. 4. They can help on a lot of things, not just for lawn. I had a broken fence post and they helped to replace it. They can do landscape work and fence work as well. 5. Got the work done quickly. 6. Post service following-up. They followed up 2 weeks after the work was done to make sure everything the lawn was is fine. They also messaged me about info of the fertilizer. We have used SLM for about five years now and have always been impressed with the work they do.
