This is were you play time roulette. You could be there an hour or two early to where you need to be, but the Green line....oh that dastardly Green line will somehow STILL make you late. Time Warp?! Nope, it's just the Green line being the Green line. I can't count the times I've been late thanks to the Green line. Here's the skinny...They break a lot. You will be on "Stand by" a lot. Trains hardly keep the 15 mins intervals they are supposed to be on to get to a stop. I really suggest getting there early and having some sort of plan just in case any of the above happens. B Line= You really aren't in any sort of big hurry to get any place. It runs on street level and has tons of stops, so ya...this is the line you take when you wanna WASTE time. If you need the B line for school...sorry. C Line= This one is actually dependable but it comes so infrequently. It also runs street level, but then goes underground after St. Mary's stop. I'd say from Kenmore to Coolidge Corner it's 15 mins and 15 from Coolidge to the end of the line. However during the week during rush hour...this goes out the window. D Line= This one could be your saving grace if you need to be somewhere quickly. Keep in mind that they usually don't usually observe the 15 mins stop interval. You could be sitting there needing to get to work and the train won't come by sometimes 30 mins later...on a weekday! So make some time to wait, if you're lucky you won't have too. From Beaconsfield to Kenmore it's about 15 mins! Another 15 to park! However...the D line breaks a lot! But when you tempt fate...it's better to take this line as it doesn't do street level running. E Line= HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Whatever. read more

The Green Line goes everywhere I need to go, and it goes to most of the important places in the city where you need to go. Like I said in my review of the B line, there's definitely Green Line karma, and you have to be kind of Zen about riding it. Some days, you hit the jackpot with an empty, quick train, and some days, you're smushed into someone's armpit. Like all trains, the Green Line gets packed at rush hour, though that peak time is a bit longer on the Green Line because of the staggered schedules of workers and college students. It's a bonus if you tend to be sketched out about coming home late- it's rarely desolate. Some of the Green Line drivers have terrible braking/accelerating technique, which makes the ride more exciting. I enjoy watching tourists from other cities scoff the Green Line and then immediately fall flat on their faces when the train starts moving. Sometimes the T PA display/announcer system breaks, and it announces the wrong destination/station for the whole trip, which is always interesting. And there's one train that thinks the ICA is still on Boylston Street. On the plus side, some of the trains have a chic black interior, while others have a bright, shiny new paint job. I do wish the Green Line figured out how to better handle Red Sox traffic, since it really irks me to wait 45 minutes before I can find a train I fit onto, only to end up obscenely pressed against 10 random guys in Red Sox shirts. Why on earth would anyone give the Green Line four stars? Do I not understand yelp's rating system? Am I so ineluctably contrarian than I've written a plug-in for iTunes so that if ever anyone else on the network has a song that I have too, iTunes automatically deletes the song from my playlist? Am I colorblind, and I actually mean to be reviewing the Red Line? No, no, and no. It's not the Green Line's fault that the MBTA has given it a color and not a number, and just as we would not say a cat is weak or slow because it fails to be a lion or a tiger, we shouldn't criticize the Green Line for failing to be the Red Line or even the Orange Line: it's a wholly separate beast. The Green Line is a not a subway line, it's a streetcar, and it's a damned awesome streetcar. It's a streetcar that goes underground when it goes downtown; it's a streetcar where you don't have to get a transfer slip or re-tap your card when you transfer to the subway; it's a streetcar that goes all the way to Route 128; it's a streetcar that has its own separate lanes so it's not sharing it with cars and trucks or mucking up bicycle-riding; it's a streetcar that costs barely more than a bus; it's a streetcar that comes every three minutes (between Kenmore and North Station, at least); it's a streetcar that, if it's really busy, you can get on for free at the above-ground stations. . .there's really no end to the Green Line's virtues as a streetcar. The only criticisms I have, the only things keeping the Green Line from getting five stars, are that the stops are too close together on the B and C branches, and that stoplights on cross-streets don't sense that a streetcar is coming and change accordingly, but very few streetcars in the world have well-separated stops or can zip through intersections because the lights change in advance for them, so these are not major demerits. read more

Yes, It's one of the more antiquated lines on the system. It has the highest ridership of any line on the system. It also makes the most stops of any line on the system. While it may be the most historic and hated line there is in Boston it does its job aside from the fact that it's hard to predict when it comes. FEW PRO-TIPS: Ride the low floor cars. They hold more passengers than the high floor ones and are newer. If your not holding onto something, lean into the direction the train is going. I've seen this with many rookies to the green line. It's like riding a mechanical bull or surfing a wave, You have to go with the flow. Third, Know which trains terminate where especially if you need to get to points north of Park street and don't feel like making a mad dash to North station for the last commuter rail train of the night. Sure, My ancestors may have contributed to the most antiquated and the first ever subway system in america but it still is operational after all these generations... read more

Dear Green Line, I wish I loved you, but I do not. Now, I am thankful for the green line and the rest of the MBTA because it means I do not need to fight for a parking space in downtown Boston, however, it is pretty horrific. I know that the MBTA is in a bit of a financial criss BUT they could do something about the obnoxiously loud screeching that the trains make, Boylston T stop anyone?! Better bring your earplugs or you may have permanent ear damage. The other thing I really despise about the green line is how jerky it is -- I can't explain how many people I have seen almost fall to their death on the steps of the green line. Also, why don't people let the old people/people with disabilties sit down?! Now, that is not a reflection of the green line but it is just annoying. The poor 90 yr old women are going to get a hip fracture from falling down as the T comes to a screeching halt. Now, I am not sure who plans out the timing of the MBTA and I am sure it is a tricky system given traffic, etc. but can someone please try to space out these trains a little better?! There will be 2 trains in a matter of 3 minutes and another one in 20. How annoying. The green line is SLOOOWW. It will take a good 45 minutes to get from the VA at Heath Street to Park St because the Green line loves to "standby" at Brigham Circle. But, the worst is how rude the drivers can be! My best friend from out of town came and didn't quite know how to use the machine and instead of the driving telling her she just yelled at her which I then replied, "you don't need to be rude about it" which she REALLY didn't like. I mean, let's just say we have some sassy people driving these trains. The only thing the green line is missing is the mice that run around the tracks on the red line. read more

So there was that time I waited for the inbound E Line for 30 minutes in -30 wind chill weather during the morning commute. And then there was that time I waited for the outbound E Line for 45 minutes at 8pm on a Saturday night. There was also the time the E line conductor left and didn't wait for me to walk from the end of the first car to the door of the second car when I'd already been waiting on the platform for 15 minutes. Don't forget about the time the B Line inbound conductor didn't announce that it was an express train and I overshot my office by about a half mile and was 20 minutes late to work. I'd be remiss if I didn't tell you about the multiple times the B line conductor wouldn't re-open the doors while sitting at a red light after letting passengers on. I'm sure there's more, but it's all starting to blend together. I think the MBTA gods watch me and whatever line I'm waiting on doesn't show. When I lived off the E line, it never seemed to show. Now that I rely on the B, I'll see 2 or 3 Es go by before a B. But you're not all bad. I liked you when I mostly needed stops that all the trains go to. And sometimes you're on time, which is nice. Sure the Sox crowd doesn't know how to navigate the green line (colors and letters are far harder to learn than just colors) but that just serves as entertainment most of the time. The D and C lines seem to be okay, even if their destinations are a little more stuffy. (sorry Brookline) Living and working in the city, I don't think I'll ever be free of you, which is kind of irritating. To be honest though, I think a piece of me would miss the Green Line if I ever moved away. read more

Not a lot of space on these lines. Goes a lot slower than the other lines but I like the seating arrangements and the openness of it a little bit more. I've witnessed a lot of things with the drivers of the green line trolley's that kind of irritate me. They really don't care who gets on and off, they'll close the doors no matter what and be totally oblivious to it. I once saw an older passenger and her husband walking off the trolley and the doors closed before his wife was able to get off and promptly left. When the driver was confronted, they were oblivious to it (or at least acted like they were). Maybe this is few and far between, but these drivers are paid good for what they do, so I would think they'd have training to avoid situations like this. read more

When tourists and visitors ask me on the street how to get to a particular spot via Green Line, I always tell them to walk instead. The Green Line exemplifies so many of the Things Not to Do When Designing Public Transportation. A friend of mine who moved here from New York City put it nicely: "the green line, that stops so often that if the train was a person it would be a handicapped frikkin 90 year old with a broken leg." Whenever I'm unlucky enough to need to use the Green Line to get somewhere, I find myself staring out the window as people in cars and bicycles (well, actually, people on foot as well - basically EVERYONE) whiz by the slow, antiquated Green Line trains, and I wonder when the hell Boston is going to finally realize that such a huge component of its SUBway system does NOT belong above ground, running along some of Boston's busiest streets and stopping for every red light and for every idiot dashing across the crosswalk. In ten, twenty years, will it STILL be acceptable for this city to be so dependent on such an outdated system? Probably, considering the MBTA prides itself more on being OMG FIRST SUBWAY IN THE NATIONNN rather than catching up with the times. In addition to my advice to visitors re: AVOID AVOID AVOID, my friends and I always tell prospective Bostonians to avoid any real estate along the Green Line if they plan to rely on public transportation to get into town. It consistently would take longer for a friend of mine in Brighton to get to the same spot in Boston than it took me to commute in from Mansfield when I was living in the 'burbs. read more

I was at Kenmore Station today, running down the stairs, and I get to the door of the train, which is still open, and the lady SHUTS the door inches from my face. if I had put my arm out to step up, she would have caught it in the door. The train isn't moving or leaving, but she would not open the door, and finally they pull away without me. Gah! It was another 20 minutes before the next B line train came. Normally, I do not mind riding the B line and it being slow, but today was too much. Edited: To add a star back. I feel better about the Green Line, but I still notice that it is never cleaned. Dare I say it? I like the Green Line (specifically, the supposed spawn of the devil, B line). Sure, there are a lot of stops, and riding it through the 219810928412409 stops near BU is the equivalent of watching 6 layers of paint dry, but it guarantees that I can always find a stop super close to my destination. I live right on Comm Ave so my mornings are filled with the constant ding ding dinging of the Green line coming every 5 minutes to serve your rush hour needs. My main problem? The people and the crowds. The drunk college students- Unfortunately, I live right smack between BU and BC. Knowing that I am only 4 months removed from college and also look like an 18-year-old upsets me because I'd hate to think that people think I'm as obnoxious as some of these students. Yes, I'm sure they're super great, young intelligent minds. But the truth is a good handful of them (1) shove themselves onto the back doors of the train and then titter to themselves about how they saved a fare. And you wonder why the MBTA is losing money, (2) openly drink beer on the train on Friday nights (3) love sharing their extremely intimate personal life stories with the rest of the train. The red sox fan- It's already painful enough that, as a Yankees fan, I have to see 'RED SOX' across 80% of this city's shirts on a daily basis. On a more neutral standpoint, please do try to stay away from game time on the green line. Most fans have no sense of what 'too crowded' means and will push and rock the train from side to side to get a spot on. Be wary of the wildly drunk fan that emerges from time to time. Without these people, the green line rides are a fairly peaceful ordeal. If you are in the unfortunate presence of them, I hope that you have headphones! read more

MBTA, why haven't you 1) evenly timed the trains properly. 2) Eliminated redundant stops (B line) 3) coordinated some system above ground where the train doesn't have to stop at all of the frackin lights?????? Make some of the stops a little nicer too. Some of them (Harvard Ave.) are downright dangerous. I live in Allston and sometimes I take the 66 to Harvard Station and take the Red Line into downtown to save time. A slow jog works too. Maybe more express trains. I ride the D line from Newton Center to Government Center and have been doing so for 2 years. I haven't had the pleasure to ride the B, C or E lines, so I don't know how they compare to the D line (although from reading some of these reviews, maybe we have it easy??). In light of the recent crash(es), signal failures and outrageously long commutes we've been experiencing on this line, I thought I would take a minute to write a review. Now, if I could give it 2 1/4 stars, I would. The extra 1/4 would be for mostly reliable A/C in the summer and heated cars in the winter. Obviously, there are days when the commute is okay: I get a seat, put my Ipod in and just read my book and get to work within 40 minutes with no issues - those days, however few and far between, are awesome. It certainly beats sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on 95 or 93... But the truth is, I don't often get a seat and thus have to put up with the masses of people who haven't been able to squeeze in on the previous 4 trains and are now angry commuters, pushing and shoving their way into the train when clearly there is NO MORE ROOM. Seriously, the D line commuters seem to be multiplying overnight. If you're new to green line, do NOT position yourself near the doors, you might get crushed or trampled (or develop a skin rash from the filthy never-been-cleaned-before poles that hundreds of hands are touching at this very minute - EWW). Oh and yesterday? I rode a rush hour train packed with what felt like 100 elementary school children who were loud, obnoxious and playing a fun game called stomp. Yes, they stomped on each others feet and consequently the riders' feet around them, mine included. It was so much fun. My question is, what ever happened to the good ol' days where kids used to take a bus to go on a field trip? No, let's take them on the rush hour train at 8:30am...I can see how that makes more sense. I'm also a little annoyed with the Red Sox fans. You know who you are. You do realize that you can take ANY train (except E) to get to Kenmore, right? You don't have to wait for the D line because one of the stops happens to be called "Fenway"! Argh, so irritating. Though some of the train conductors are nice, there are a handful that are just plain nasty. I've been fortunate to not have been on the other end of their nastiness, but have witnessed it dozens of times. I know your job sucks and the hordes of people riding the T suck, but you don't have to be so nasty. The price for a monthly T pass can't be beat so that is one solid star. As for the other star? I honestly can't think of a reason other than it gets me from point A to point B in one piece, but it is often at the price of my tardiness and frustration. read more

If your idea of a pleasant trip is getting your ear drums ripped open, then the MTBA's green line is for you. Loud, squeaky, and sometimes very annoying. You know you're on the green line when you hear: "This train is being taken out of service." I give the three stars to the accessibility to the western parts of Boston that the green line offers, and it's branch system is reasonable, but not perfect. I have spent much of my night just waiting to see that "B" on the train. read more

Today you failed me Green Line. You make me want to opt for Orange and walk the rest of the way. In one foul swoop, you managed to injure nine people and make hundreds late for work. I guess accidents happen, but, the resulting "shuttle bus service" was the most pathetic excuse for transportation I have ever witnessed. Even if I wanted to travel to my place of employment in a manner reminiscent of German rail cars circa WWII - routing already over-packed buses to taunt ousted passengers (not one of whom can fit inside) just doesn't seem like a viable plan B. Thanks for leaving me both late for work and with $12 less in my pocket - $1.70 for an unrealized train ride and the rest for the cab fare I resigned to pay rather than deal with your continued incompetence. read more

2 stars is me being generous. I'm not a fan of the MBTA. If I could avoid taking the trains I would. But alas driving in Boston just isn't a viable option for me. I'd still have to toss up with traffic and well parking's a b****. So I suck it up and ride the T. I'm pretty sure I've already vented my frustration with the Red line in a previous review but the Green line unfortunately isn't much better. The Green is slightly better in that there's more than one and they pretty much have multiple route / tracks. So if one breaks down before Kenmore usually it doesn't hold up traffic for half an hour. Emphasis on 'usually'. While I find the trolley cute most of the time, when I have to get from point A to B at a pre-arranged time and waiting for the ONE train that actually goes all the way to Lechmere drives me nuts. It's not made any easier by the constant high pitched screeching the trains make between Hynes and Park Street. And for the outbound trains, any area that isn't BU or BC is shit out of luck if you expect a train to arrive on time. read more

The green line made me cry. I was waiting for the B line train at the Mt. Hood stop. Something to know about the Mt. Hood stop: It's at the top of a hill, and on windy days, it is extremely windy; On cold days, it is extremely cold; On rainy days that are also windy and cold, it is miserable because your umbrella will do nothing to shield you from the misery that surrounds you. So I was waiting for the train so I could get to class on time, but as luck would have it, the T was running extremely late. I waited there for about 30 minutes, and by the time the T came, there were tear-covered curses streaming down my face. Talk about unreliable. Boo on the green line T! read more

I absolutely love starting my day sweaty and angry, having just stepped out of a packed sauna wearing layers of warm weather clothing at 8am. This wouldn't be half as bad if you actually moved faster than I could walk...or if the power didn't surge after each stop. Those mornings when I'm stuck in the dark with 100 other hot and cranky commuters and you just shut off for a solid 5 minutes...so fun! I don't see what the problem is with the Green Line - it's public transit people you can't expect luxury service or seats! I personally find this line to be useful, on time, and efficient. Most importantly it gets me from point A to point B and allows me to not have to worry about parking, driving in traffic and wasting money on gas. Yes the seats are smaller than some of the other lines, but this line is also older and people did used to be smaller. Just take the line for what it is and if you don't like it there are plenty of other options! read more

And that's how long we waited on the D-Line today, underground, in a crowded train, before anyone thought we deserved the 4-11 on this heinous hold-up. Then we waited longer for the "semi-disabled" train to be removed from the tracks ahead. "We'll be moving shortly," the speaker said, ending his assurance with a chuckle. Yeah dude... funny. Sorry for anyone heading past Park Street -- This train, too, is disabled, and Park Street will be the final stop. Luckily, Park Street was my transfer, but damn... considering a lot of these people, like us, had to wait for a couple trains to pass before they could even squeeze into one. When I worked in Boston I would take the Green Line every day. From my days on the C and B lines to later time on the D Line there was one constant. It was awful. Even with months since my last T ride not enough time has passed for me to laugh about the mornings standing in the freezing cold without a train showing up at Waban for 20 minutes then to have the first train be expressed passed us as fifty people huddled mashed together into the tiny warmed waiting booth. Nor do I fondly recall the afternoons when the Hynes train station would be so full of people you had to fear being pushed onto the tracks and then wait forty minutes for a train. And since you've already paid you don't want to leave and head to a local watering hole. The good news is the trains are heated and cooled. Unfortunately they are often running the AC in winter and the heat in summer so it's not much of a comfort to weary commuters. If parking were not so expensive in Boston I would have shunned the T years ago. There has to be a better way to get into Boston but I don't own a rickshaw or a donkey so alas, I was forced to take the T. read more

Unless you are going from Government Center to Boston College during a hail storm, it's generally faster and far more pleasant to walk. Take it when the Sox are playing at Fenway at your own risk. Drunk men can get a little too friendly with those giant foam fingers. It's bad. I try to stay away, even it involves a lot of walking, taking of cabs or begging my friends for a ride. read more

So, I've lived in Boston for about a year now. I came from a city (Philadelphia) with a very bad public transportation system so, at first, the T seemed awesome. The worst parts about the T are: overcrowded trains that seem to lack airconditioning on the hottest days fairly frequently, Red Sox home games (and the hordes of suburbanites who have never taken the T and cause massive delays), and the insanely aggressive, young T rider. Let me dissect this last species, as you all know them but maybe never delved into the psyche: Often female, almost assuredly between 18 and 25 years old. Headphones in, gigantic bag slung over the shoulder, massive sunglasses on. Will not hesitate to step on your feet or push past an elderly person to ensure they get that open seat 40 feet away from them. Heaven forbid they have to stand for 30 minutes! Don't forget the fact that this breed gets upset when someone on the T brushes into them (you know since the 20 ton train car does tend to shift and stuff and when a car is filled to the brim that might happen) like you're invading their personal bubble. This sounds like I'm focusing on a single incident but I'm not (and you know I'm not because you deal with it daily, too). The T does break down at times and is sometimes late, but I've ridden it 2x Monday-Friday, and probably at least 1-2 times every weekend, for the past year and the riders, specifically the type I mentioned, are by far the worst part of the T. read more

4 starts because after visiting Boston since moving to San Diego in Dec 2012, I noticed awesome 5 bars of service for my AT&T iPhone!! As I watched the signal bar never disappeared after going deeper and deeper in the tunnels I was just amazed!! I love to watch out of towners hop and the train and forget to grab on to the rails as the train lunges forward they trip and fall. Here's a tip, when riding the train stand facing the windows. Don't stand facing in the direction of the train. It will help you keep your balance as the train moves forward. read more

Kristine M was right...bring your barf bags, folks. It is bad manners to puke on your neighbors, and you can't always make it to the trash can. Expect delays. Lots of delays. Expect lots of trains to go by multiple times, except the one you need. That one will come after you've been waiting for half an hour. And even then you might not get on, because while you're walking to the first car, the driver will look at you, shut the doors in your face, and take off like a bat out of hell, leaving you to wait another 30 minutes. So let's say you do catch the train, and you think you're set and ready to go. Wrong. Many times they pull the, "Everybody off! Train's going out of service!" This generally happens right in the middle of the route. Right on your way to work. You know, the day you promised to come in early to unlock the doors for the delivery guys. Avoid the green line. read more

I'm a D Line gal, let's start with that. You know, I just don't think it's that horrible. I live at the end...so I have my choice of walking to Riverside or Woodland (it's pretty much the same). Maybe I'm just more chipper than you because I am guaranteed a seat on the train (and I have mastered the art of knowing the exact spot where the doors will open to the second car, and BOOM, I'm the first one in, grabbing my favorite one-seater!! Seriously...) 45 minutes every day to get to Park St. isn't horrible. D Liners don't get stuck at traffic lights like some other Green Line commuters and stops are actually a decent distance apart (gasp!). I don't know if the other lines have this, but at each stop (mostly) there's a little enclosed hut, and in the winter, they turn on this wonderful heat lamp inside. It's kind of like being a lizard in a tank, but damn, it feels nice! However...there are sucky parts to the D Line. it's well known that i am not a big fan of the T. i'll never understand the purpose of running a subway above ground where it has to acquiesce to normal traffic laws; i can only speculate about the pattern of the B, C, D, and E; i don't see why the trains should close before the bars do; and i'll never, ever get the sox nation thing. it's true that the green line can be slow, erratic, and often full of less than desirable company. maybe i have seen men walk faster than these little trolleys. maybe the whole thing doesn't make much sense. but i do like the charlie card, with that easy little tap-tap; and the hours i've spent standing around on platforms or sitting through a million local stops and lights were not wasted, because the only thing that mattered in the whole city was always sitting right next to me. some of the best memories i have of boston are T-related and for that fact alone i can't hate the green line too much. read more

Green Line MBTA - fenway - Trains Near Me

I think the green line makes me physically ill. The trains are ventilated poorly, and when the cars are packed, there just isn't enough oxygen for everyone. The glands at the back of my neck start to freak out and I become nauseous. I'll admit that when the cars aren't packed, the green line isn't so bad during the week days. And, this isn't PC, but Saturday nights, I'd rather be on the Orange line with minorities and lower-income people who are keeping it real than on the Green line with a bunch of arrogant, over-privileged college kids any day. Poor design makes the green line an annoyance to ride. Why why why would you ever believe its an intelligent idea to have the T go above ground? That is the reason why it fails, theres too many stoplights and in some lines, just too many stops! (b line). Its no wonder it has so many delays. If ya ever notice one thing, the D line is very efficient, and in fact the T itself is efficient once underground. But who thought it would be a brilliant idea to put the T above ground is beyond me. I am giving the Green Line two stars because eventually (keyword being eventually) it will get me where I need to be. Or at least it will get me part of the way there before I go into a blackout rage and find my destination in the snow via walking. Yes, Green Line, there have been times where your poor system has made me get off the train and forced me to walk in the snow. I take the T pretty much every day, at least Monday through Friday. With the exception of the winter, I walk the 45 minutes from work to home during every other season to avoid having to be stuck on the malfunctioning train for that length of time. Unfortunately, I am not capable of waking up early enough to get to work on time by walking, so I am forced to take the train every morning. Here's what I hate. I live between four different T stops, so depending on how far I feel like walking in the morning, I can go to any of them. By the time I have left my apartment and decided what station to walk to, I use my walk to prep for the anger that is sure to occur as a reaction to the T ride. Without fail, regardless of what time I get to any station, I see up to four trains pass on the opposite side of what I need before ONE train shows up on the inbound side. I know I'm not the only one who gets foul about this. I've recently taken up observing other people's reactions as a way to control my own. Compared to some people I'm a saint! Anyway, once I finally get on the train, I may as well make myself comfortable and take a morning snooze because I can always count on the T to get stuck within seconds of leaving any station. It amazes me that there can be so much traffic on the inbound side when it takes a half hour for one train to get to any given station. Here's another thing I hate: if there are delays up ahead, TELL US WHY. Don't just let us sit there in the middle of two stations without any information about why we aren't moving, or why we are moving at a snail's pace. Of all the times I've been on the T, I've had maybe one conductor who has explained why we were stuck in traffic - and I mean explaining in detail why there was traffic in the first place - and when we could expect to be moving. Another thing. The MBTA is apparently raising their fares again. I wouldn't be so angry about that if after the last time they raised the fares they made improvements to the rails, trains and SPEAKERS. Yes, the speakers. It is extremely obnoxious and discouraging when the speakers go on and all you can hear is crackling. That's unacceptable. The conductors aren't always very nice either. Buttheads. I truly have nothing pleasant to say about the Green Line, except that sometimes it works and that's cool. And for the record, eating on the T is gross. Don't do that. read more

Not much to say here.... they aren't handicap accessible. Don't like that. I have a big bulky cart when I ride the subway usually and it makes it annoying trying to get on these train/trolly type thingys. The cars seem a little cleaner than the orange line, but I like dirt. The trains get super packed and seem thinner and have steps within them. Don't like steps, don't like packed trains. I'll walk when I can. But it sucks, because the Green line goes to great places..... read more

The Green Line is my least-favorite subway line in Boston. It's the slowest, the most confusing (Park St station anyone!?) and runs ABOVE ground and sometimes, likes to crash into things when it's teenage drivers are texting their friends (LOL! LMAO!) Lame. read more
