    Blue Donkey Iced Coffee

The Green Market is A-OK. I thought that since this market occurs every Saturday in Piedmont Park that there would be more vendors present. Unfortunately, it only takes about a brisk 30-second walk to see all of the vendors (that I love to support), and then it ends. Ugh, there's so much potential for this market to be great! Most importantly, though, I think a market such as this one should have plentiful and local options for fruits and vegetables. I've only seen one stall sell vegetables and one sell peaches. Definitely need more. Helpful tidbits: -Enter through the west side of Piedmont Park. -Grab a cold coffee drink from Blue Donkey, to start your day. -Check out all of the awesome local vendors. (We just need more of them.) It's fine to visit once, but nothing to go out of your way for.

Summertime is when the Piedmont Park Green Market hits its stride. June, July, and August are the best months to take an early morning stroll through the Market and pick up fresh farm produce from a multitude of different vendors. You can also get fresh brewed coffee, and two different bakery vendors offer just-baked breads and delicious pastries. Other offerings include local cheeses, organic pastas, and beautiful floral bouquets. This week also brought the first vendor offering home-grown Georgia peaches - get 'em while they last!

Found dehydrated ginger here at BARE NAKED , delicious and wonderful for a touchy stomach. Then there's the Pistachio pound cake. !

As for someone who has been going to Piedmont Park for years to see the beautiful park that it is, but also the farmer's market.

What a AWESOME experience with Eat Right Atlanta…read more Before heading into a recent checkup at Emory, I saw the Eat Right Atlanta table setting up and wondered what they were offering. Once I finished my checkup and headed back downstairs, I was so excited to see two tables full of some beautifulllll produce. I had things to do and people to see... but that produce was calling my name. So I answered! I was a bit confused at first as to the process, but one of the team members took the time to explain the process quickly and it all made sense. They offer a long sheet of paper that allows you to choose produce in single-serving sizes, prepared packages and more. The offerings seem to vary based on the day, but the offering for the day included over two dozen options! I was tempted to go overboard but ended up going with: a single-serving size of bell peppers (which = 2 huge peppers), a single-serving size of mini cucumbers (5 in a bag) and a 5-variety fruit bag where I chose: peaches, cherries, kiwis, pink lady apples and barlett pears. In total I spent $32 with tax and WOW - did I get my moneys worth. The produce was plentiful, delicious and high-quality. I was so excited to get home to eat them and find different ways to use them. This is truly a wonderful pop-up to support and now that I know where and when to find them, you can bet that I'll be relying on them for my produce needs!

I purchased a pack of tofu along with some other items on March 11. I open the fridge a few days later on March 15, finally ready to prepare the tofu, just to see that the exp date on the pack was March 10. This picture was taken March 15 upon this discovery. I meant to update this review a while ago. I just can't spend money here anymore knowing that I'm liable to accidentally purchase old products. As customers, we should not have to be this vigilant at a grocery store... it's ridiculous.

A trip around the world and a walk down memory lane…read more It's been decades since I stepped foot inside the Buford Highway Farmers Market, and being back felt like a beautiful reunion. The last time I walked these aisles, I was with my mama, Donna Theresa. So much has changed since then, yet the soul of this place remains as vibrant as ever. It feels more expansive than I remember. A true global treasure tucked right here in the city. I'm still obsessed with how they organize the aisles by country. In just one afternoon, I traveled from Korea to Eastern Europe to Central America, no passport required! I was officially "team sample" the moment they offered! Unlike the heavy, sugary profile of traditional American cakes, these were a masterclass in balance. I tried the Neapolitan, a stunning phyllo-layered creation that was light, buttery, and perfectly textured. But the Lemon Cream Cake? It stole the entire show. It looked picture-perfect on the shelf, and the taste was even better. It was so bright, airy, and just the right amount of decadence. Coming back here wasn't just a grocery trip; it was a win for my palate and my heart. Now that I'm back in the area, you can bet this is becoming a regular stop on my rotation.
