Once I finished my checkup and headed back downstairs, I was so excited to see two tables full of some beautifulllll produce. I had things to do and people to see... but that produce was calling my name. So I answered! I was a bit confused at first as to the process, but one of the team members took the time to explain the process quickly and it all made sense. They offer a long sheet of paper that allows you to choose produce in single-serving sizes, prepared packages and more. The offerings seem to vary based on the day, but the offering for the day included over two dozen options! I was tempted to go overboard but ended up going with: a single-serving size of bell peppers (which = 2 huge peppers), a single-serving size of mini cucumbers (5 in a bag) and a 5-variety fruit bag where I chose: peaches, cherries, kiwis, pink lady apples and barlett pears. In total I spent $32 with tax and WOW - did I get my moneys worth. The produce was plentiful, delicious and high-quality. I was so excited to get home to eat them and find different ways to use them. This is truly a wonderful pop-up to support and now that I know where and when to find them, you can bet that I'll be relying on them for my produce needs!

They have a validation for parking system there so you can make sure you use that, which is right by the door. There's also other places to park, which is street parking, that you could use your park mobile app as well if you'd prefer to do that or if the parking lot is full. This market has tons of items and things and anything you could think of for the most part. If you are feeling steak or Caribbean food then this is your spot to go to. If you just want some French fries or some oxtail then this is going to be a great place for it as well. There's a myriad of different stalls that you can buy food at that are ready. There's also places that you can actually buy fresh meat and seafood to cook at home. If you're trying to figure out where to go for some steaks or some oxtails or shrimp, you should check this out for sure. So overall I would say this is definitely a spot you should for sure try if you're trying to try some new dishes or if you want to buy some food to make at home. If you're trying to find something that's similar to an Asian market, for example, something off Buford Highway, this would be a good spot to check out. Picking up a couple of steaks and some shrimp is easy work for a spot like this. I actually would probably go for a holiday situation to where I was buying meat to put on the grill. I also went to AB cookie company. I just got a chocolate chip but it was very good. The texture was slightly cakier with hints of spice. I like my cookies cooked thru but they have every texture in their cookies from a hard chewier edge, traditional gooey, to the slightly puddingly center. Also my first order of business upon my next visit to Municipal Market will be trying the peach cobbler at AB. I give this place a high rating because there are soooo many options. They have a Curleys in here which haven't been to in years and they validate parking.

The service is generally poor, and the employees will act like you don't exist if you don't look like you speak Spanish (I'm sorry to say it but it's true). My [Black] husband does, and their attitude changed immediately as soon as they realize he's hispanic which is CRAZY to see in real time. They have 1000 security guards standing around that are constantly watching over every move... it's simply unfriendly and quite frankly, hostile. I just never like my experience here and it doesn't change each time I try to go back. I love a good international market. But my experience here was lowkey (and unexpectedly) dark and moody. I was ready to go not long after I walked in. I'd recommend City Farmers for produce and produce only. They truly have the best avocado prices in the area. I'll give them that.

My blood sugar was low and I absolutely could not resist eating the cookie on my way home. Wow.. It was so chewy and delicious. Both flavors come through really nicely. On to the bagels... These are, by far, the best bagels I've had in Atlanta. Honestly, they put the chain bagel spots to shame. The interior is really open and has that beautiful sourdough tang. They're perfectly crusted on the outside and provide a nice base for a spread/schmear. I'm so so impressed. Thank you Evergreen. I'll be back.

Check those out if you want to see and example of the items there. In addition to those items, we bought some frozen chicken sausage (from Lawton's Chicken Sausage), strawberry jelly, miniature desserts, and body scrub (from Off Grid Sis) If you're a first-timer, you need to know that the market is in an empty parking lot (as is every other farmer's market I've ever been to that's not on an actual farm). Thus, parking is only on the street. It's free but it's also hit or miss. We parked on the next street over. The neighborhood is similar to any urban downtown, so I suggest keeping your heard on a swivel as you walk toward the market. Once there, visitors are greeted at the welcome table and given a punch card that gets you a discount after so many visits...I'm personally curious about how that works irks with independent vendors. The vendors are what you'd expect...mainly food and beverage items, mixed in with some health and skincare items. We probably bought from about half the vendors there and my pictures show some of those items. All of these people are in social media and you can also purchase from many that way. As far as a farmer's market goes, I'd want to see more vendors, more fresh produce and more activity. To be fair, some of the food items I would've been interested in were sold out by the time we arrived. I don't live in the city, but I imagine that this market is one of the ways to get fresh produce and organic foods into an area that may be a food desert or food desert adjacent. So far, I'm mostly happy with the items we bought. Luckily, one of the vendors had a DJ booth and was spinning music to help liven up the atmosphere. We don't live close enough to plan to be back here but if we're in the area, one of us may run in to grab something while the other idles in the car. Other things to note: there's a portapotty available. I had to take my 3yo to it twice in the time there. It's clean enough and well stocked with tissue and had a container of Clorox wipes so you could sanitize to your mind's content. That said, if you don't usually carry hand sanitizer on you, you may want to grab some for the market experience.

We were able to try different foods, inquire about many other teas, candles, fresh seafood etc. They had all types of different things to try/ purchase. We tried the taco truck that was sooo amazing, we also had some fresh croissants, along with a very good fresh cold tea stand. Everyone was so nice & joyful while serving/selling anything. They gave us free samples which was really cool before you purchased anything as well. My children were able to have an Easter egg hunt, games, coloring, face paintings & a live dj! How could i forget that they also gave out free popcorn, cotton candy & waters to everyone there! It was such a vibe. Truly awesome & well put together. We would attend as a family, any family friendly events that we do get invited to in the future!

I'm currently on rotation at the main hospital, and I can say the food here is a lot more exciting and appetizing than what they have at the hospital caf or tower cafe. They have about 15 vendors offering a variety of food and beverages. Most, if not all, vendors accept cash, credit/debit, and "Dooley dollars". On my quick walk-through, I saw a cart selling hot dogs with all sorts of toppings, a place selling samosas and other Indian goodies, a homemade pastry/bread stand, several vendors selling organic produce and pecans, fresh eggs, local honey, Honey Bubble boba tea, and a veggie burger stand, to name a few. Revolution Donuts was also set up there, and you know it's not a party without a King of Pops popsicle cart, ayyy. I stopped by the Blue Donkey coffee stand, where they were super nice and let me sample a bunch of different iced coffees. They were all delicious, but the blend of half "chocolate brigadeiro" coffee with half "summer almond" coffee they recommended was heavenly and the perfect Spring afternoon pick-me-up. I got a large for ~$5, and they did accept card. You can mix different flavors together to personalize your coffee to your taste or sweetness level. My inner Miami girl was thrilled to find a booth selling Cuban food. I got a combo with pork, rice and black beans, and sweet plantains (maduros). It was pretty legit by my standards. A heaping plate of food was a mere $8, and they accepted card as well. The farmer's market runs every Tuesday that school is in session. I'm assuming the offerings vary based on the season and availability, but it was definitely a solid farmer's market and the highlight of my Tuesday work day. I'll be back next week...
