So I only frequently shop here because it's like 5 feet away from my new office. Otherwise, this Giant Eagle, like all Giant Eagles, is WAAAAAAY too expensive to be my regular grocery store! Everything is like 33% more than it should be and the ambiance/service/reward program doesn't come close to redeeming the upcharge. But since I constantly have to buy little things here and there during my lunch hour, I spend way too much time at this store due to convenience. I do like that it's clean and the shelves are never empty. But the price and selection leave much to be desired. But still I sporadically shop here... read more

Stopped in when they first opened on 8/6/2025. First thing I see is molded strawberries and several cranky ladies in produce working. Went over to sushi area and was greeted by one of the sushi makers and she was so nice and friendly. Headed over to bakery area and a very nice African American woman greeted us as well. Both of these women know how to treat customers unlike the women in produce. Proceeded to shop and kept running into two personal shoppers. The younger one was very nice and we laughed at how we kept getting in each other's way. Went a few aisles over and an older personal shopper was shopping and she just kept giving us dirty looks. Like lady we are here to shop. What is the issue?? I've done that job at Walmart and it is way busier than Giant Eagle is and I know how to treat customers! Next, I go over to the cooler where the orange juice is and an old lady with long hair was stocking the juice. I waited for her to be done and headed over there, I hear my daughter say, "what the heck is your problem", and I look at the woman and she is just staring at my daughter's with a very nasty look on her face. I am a cranky 50 year old woman but I do not act like that at work. It is unacceptable. I'm sorry but these types of rude people should not be working in customer service. Period. Not stocking either. All this being said the cashier was fast and friendly. She did an excellent job. You need to look more carefully at people you hire. Workers are friendly, but prices are a bit too much, great selection of foods. Interior feels musty and out dated.

The food here is always good, whether you're getting something from the soup bar, salad bar, hot food station, sushi, noodles, stir fry, made to go, etc. The food has always been good but man is it expensive. Expect to pay a minimum of $10 for any meal and often times more than that, usually closer to $15. If you're in a pinch and want a variety definitely a good stop, but there are better, cheaper alternatives close by. read more

There were only 2 people working the registers and they remodeled some of the regular registers and now they are self scanners as well. The belts on the self scanners don't work either. There were things misplaced on the shelves or prices that were wrong. So they have less people working and things are more expensive than at other stores like Walmart. read more

Horrible experience today! I usually shop there often, but today I had to use one of their scooters instead of a cart, due to a medical issue. I was very disappointed to say the least. The scooter would not go forward at all.. or turn .. got stuck everywhere multiple times. They have no room for the scooters or the others carts to go anywhere cuz there are a Bunche baskets and stuff all over the super market.. Their scooters don't work at all. I had to back it up to be Able to get out of the store. To make it even better all of their workers watched me struggle as I was getting out and only one person came and try to explain to me what was actually going on and why I had to back up my cart for about 20 feet in order to get out of the store. And every shopper was rude trying to cut me off would not let me get around. Just because I pretty much look very young and they probably thought I did not want to walk. Terrible they make the experience of someone with disabilities impossible. I will not be going there until I am healthy again. Terrible experience and I feel worst knowing that this is an everyday issue with people with disabilities! You should do better Giant Eagle! read more

Today's grocery stores are finding more creative ways to try and attract shoppers, Giant Eagle featuring the Green Market District is no different and this is good news! Not really on board? Well try this on for size. Starbucks? It's in here. Fresh stone hearth baked pizzas? It's in here. In store cafe that sells wine by the glass and more micro brews than you can shake a stick at...it's in here, Sizzling Wok Stir Fry station with bar seating and a Sushi Station? Yup, in here too! There's also a great salad bar, hot bar, antipasti bar, fresh made hot and cold subs and much more. Back in the day you'd go to a grocery store and....yeah...just buy groceries! Crazy right? How times have changed, and for the better! So why do I come here? The Pad Thai from the Sizzling Wok Chinese and Thai Cuisine is kinda amazing! I make a point to try and stop in once a week if I can. Not a Pad Thai guy(or gal)? Well there's plenty of other choices on the menu such as Kung Pao Shrimp, Mongolian Beef, Thai Basil Chicken and much much more. For you vegetarians out there, there's also a nice selection of all veggie dishes. Almost everything on the menu is under $10 and if you can get there between 11-3 the lunch specials are even cheaper. The cooks are always very pleasant and I can't recall ever having anything but a satisfying experience here. There is a sushi bar on the other side of the Wok with plenty of pre-made sushi if you're on the go. If you're looking to dine in, sushi is made to order as well, with some seating at the bar. Attention! to all you self proclaimed sushi snobs! This isn't Sushi 86 or Ginko or Parallax....this is a grocery store so let's be realistic with the expectations. This is one awesome grocery store! I can't speak for the shopping experience, but I was totally digging the variety of hot foods available. It was like being in a mall food court. I was told by the ladies working at a nail salon around the corner that I could get great pho here. Their recommendation was spot on! Granted it will probably not make my top 10 list of best pho ever, but for a grocery store chain, it was pretty awesome! Very reasonably priced too @ $6.99 for the steak pho. If I had one complaint it would be the pho broth was not piping hot. They keep it in your typical hot soup warmers so it just doesn't have that steaming hot goodness to cook the meats instantly. I believe they realize this also because this is the first pho I've ever seen prepared where they actually steam the meat prior to placing it in the bowl. Still, it was very enjoyable (or perhaps I was just happy to have decent food after experiencing the worst Chinese food ever just around the corner). PS - The chefs got a kick out of my enthusiasm and offer me a sample of their yellow chicken curry! OMG, the broth was spicy enough to bring tears to my eyes, but I loved it! Dare I say that I have found a grocery store that rivals my beloved southern Harris Teeters?! I almost feel like a traitor! Growing up in the PA area and living in Ohio for a while I never saw a GE like this one. I can tell this store is almost brand new and a lot of thought went into the layout and location. I was on a trip to Ohio and looking for a place to buy some refreshments for the hotel and my phone led me to Giant Eagle. This location has a wonderful selection of fresh vegetables/fruits, sushi, deli, etc. as well as locally made products like soap, candles and more. I was so impressed with this store and if I lived around that location would shop there all the time. read more

I don't usually do reviews on grocery stores, but as much as I eat here I feel the need to inform others who may not do so based on it being a "chain" store. The Sizzling Wok here is absolutely AMAZING. You can get pad thai, or hibachi where you pick all your own vegetables/toppings and sauce. Onto the best part, the PHO. If you have not had this before you are really missing out. I eat here at least 3-4 times a month and get the PHO. It's a beef broth with thin noodles, a meat of your choice (shrimp, chicken, beef or tofu) with bean sprouts, basil, garlic and jalapeno, large portion for $6.99! The single best noodle dish i've ever tasted. The staff is always really friendly and accommodating as well. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed! read more

Pharmacy- terrible, motivation, and customer service absolutely suck. I had a problem and spoke to a pharmacist. First he doesn't understand customer service and I waited. For him to answer the phone then he wasn't helpful and then I noticed his behavior was understandable, he is a child who hasn't chosen to grow up. Grocery- it may be that Giant eagle quality, selections and stocking are all decaying. Worst is that fresh vegetables are very old, brown and wrinkled on the bottom side, be careful. Other fresh products are kept too long so when they get home the spoiled too quickly. Many products I like are not being restocked snd diet drinks are rarely in stock or given more space than three boxes. I shop here for the quality they use to gave. Now prices have gone to max, quality and service are below low cost like Marc's. All this screams profit only management that deserves us finding new places to shop read more

I love to order my groceries and use curbside express and pick them up for free. It's really easy to use and the employees picking and Delivering the groceries are really nice. They always call if they are out of something or need to make an adjustment. It's an lifesaver with theee kids!!! read more

I love this Giant Eagle for about a million reason. The main reason I come here is because their organic produce section rocks. I primarily shop at The Mustard Seed but I don't always feel like making the drive to Montrose. This GE is right around the corner from me and I couldn't be more pleased with their selection. Their organic produce, their dedicated gluten free section, organic and vegetarian/vegan frozen foods, all reasons why I don't NEED to go to Mustard Seed every time I need something. The remodel that they are finishing up is amazing! There is a full blown sushi bar with a quick grab and go section. Salad/soup bar. Hot food lines. Stir fry bar where you load up what you want and they cook it all for you right there. Their bakery is beautiful and full of wonderful looking breads an pizza (I'm vegan and try to avoid gluten so I only know that they look awesome.) Their wine selection is awesome and they can get you in a specific wine that they don't carry in a day or so. The pharmacy rocks and I have way more fun going through the make up and personal care sections than I should. Almost as much fun as I have at Target. ALMOST. Plus, I get a TON of gas perks, which is reason in itself to shop here. I know this GE is so fantastic strictly because of the demographic, but I really appreciate that this store has such an outstanding selection geared towards the "mindful eating" crowd. read more

I haven't been to a Giant Eagle for a while, but I spent about 2 hours here buying groceries the other day. It's well-organized and clean, and they have a large produce section (although they don't have much food at the butcher). I will say that you can probably find cheaper food - I bought some frozen dinners here, on sale, and found them even cheaper at Target...not on sale. However, the store is so large that it's probably more convenient to just go here if you're getting a lot of fresh food as well as pre-packaged things. I really liked that they had an international aisle, although it was admittedly just American-made products to cook "ethnic" food, as opposed to more traditional items. read more

At least for me, Giant Eagle will have anything that you are looking for/need. They are open from 7am to midnight everyday (I believe.) For the most part the employees are friendly and willing to help. The downside... SO EXPENSIVE! We used to shop at Giant Eagle for all our groceries (hence my 100+ check-ins!) Then one day and I don't even know why, we stopped at Marc's to get a couple things and realized that things were a lot cheaper. Now, Marc's is definitely not the most organized store or in the best of areas, but we consistently spend 50% LESS than at Giant Eagle. Many times we are buying the exact same food item (brand and everything!) Now, you have to pay cash (or check after they do what seems to be an extensive background check), but for the savings it's totally worth it. Granted, Giant Eagle does have the fuel perks, but that definitely doesn't offset the higher grocery bill. We do use Giant Eagle for all our gift card purchases (which allow you to rack up fuel perks quickly.) Now, this is the only grocery store (that I know of) in Green. Soon Acme will be moving in down the street from the Giant Eagle which will provide some competition, but from what I've heard, Acme isn't the bargain grocery chain either. Time will tell. read more

This special Giant Eagle store is the first in the Greater Akron area to be a "Market District" where one could find a large variety of higher-end groceries and prepared foods. The reason I come here often is because I love the hot meals they cook, specifically, the Pho. What? Pho at a grocery store?! Yes, my friends. This store does indeed serve Pho, either to eat in their dining area or to take away. They don't just have Pho, but also Pad Thai and a curry noodle soup dish made right in front of your eyes in the cooking area in the middle of the prepared foods section. In addition to all that, they offer a stir fry where you can pick your own vegetables and sauce to have them cook in their "Sizzling Wok". Say you'd like to have some Pad Thai tonight but your family wants pizza. Just go to this store and you can have both and more! They have a pizza oven, churning out fresh pizzas made to order and also a sandwich board where you can get a BLT with some delicious fresh bread. Wait, there's more! This Market District store also has a sushi bar that serves a large variety of fresh sushi made to order. In addition to all that, they have a gigantic cold bar with a humongous variety of salad ingredients, ranging from salmon and chicken to beets and asparagus. Also, I must mention the hot food bar that carries some tasty potstickers and grilled fish. This place is a good option for families with varying tastes any time of day. The food is good and fresh and their prices are very reasonable compared to a full service restaurant that would serve such a large variety of dishes. read more

I can't rave enough about the Asian counter and the entire Market District. We will drive theatre extra miles to grab a quick bite to eat here. The pad Thai, pho and yellow curry and pick your own stir fry are all delicious. The sub sandwiches are a great deal. 7" for $4.99. Interesting that the market districts are all just a bit different at the sandwich counter. The family centered eating is great. Head upstairs and you will find a nice quiet and very comfortable area away from the doors and bustle of the first floor. Ps bit is also warmer up there. read more

... I almost hate to say this but I'm not impressed. Although this location offers far more product than a regular Giant Eagle it also comes with higher prices & more annoying crowds. Everywhere I turned someone was accidentally bumping into me so I couldn't really look at items. My husband & father-in-law wanted to stop & get sushi here, which was beautifully executed but when I was trying to pay for my soup, they only had one cashier open during the lunch hour; seriously!?! Most people only have a 1/2 hour lunch break, if you're one of those people, you can't enjoy lunch here because you'll never get through the line in time to eat. I was also really annoyed that whomever came up with the new store design clearly they ripped it off of Whole Foods layout...must be nice to get paid thousands to steal another artist ideas :( Can't say I'll be going out of my way to visit this nightmare of human traffic again. read more

From a sushi bar (not bad!) to pizza and other fresh, ready to eat, food to the dry aging beef in the meat department. Wow! If you haven't been here yet, you need to go check it out and plan on spending at least an hour in here shopping. My favorite things about this store are the sushi bar, the wine tasting and cheese bar, the bakery, the bulk seasonings area (try the hickory smoked salt), the coffee grinding area, and the meat cases. We decided to give the Curbside Express a go since I am down for a bit and my husband despices the grocery store. And I must I was impressed! Ordering online was very simple and strait forward. I even made notes for items I did not find online but knew they carried. I didn't have the brand name, but I knew the location and price and they were able to locate it. Only downside with ordering online is that they do not have the nutritional value. But outside of that, it was very simple and easy to edit your cart even after it has been submitted. I did take away a star because they forgot my hard salami which they probably got so distracted with all my side notes and scavenger hunt of items that they forgot all about it. Way, way over-priced!!! Are you kidding me?! Took my daughters to the "Giant Eagle Market Place" for a quick lunch. They have a hot buffet there. It's a buffet ... self serve. Put your food in a to-go container, grab your plastic fork, go to the cashier and pay. $45! Are you crazy!? I said to the cashier, "this can't be right!" They weigh the food ... $9.00 per pound! It was some fried chicken, baked beans, mashed potatoes, etc. The amount of food in each container you could have held in your hands cupped together. What a rip-off! Never, ever again will I go there. The number one consumer rip-off in the US is insurance. You pay a lot of money and get nothing in return. But, coming in at a close 2nd, has to be the "Giant Eagle Market Place!" I really wish I would have taken a picture of our 3 to-go containers so that you could have seen what I paid $45 for. I shouldn't have paid it; I should have just walked away ... leaving the food right there on the counter! read more

I love it! I was in store looking for weird (to me) ingredients and an employee helped me, he knew EXACTLY where every item was exactly! I recently moved back to the area and the store is new to me. Well this time I decided I should tell everyone about this place! All these people here are the cream of the crop finest grocers that I have had the pleasure of dealing with and the employee fore-mentioned turned out to be the store manager working the floor stocking dairy. I called after I left inquiring about the pallets out back to use in my wood burning stove and to praise the dude that helped me find my weird ingredients turns out I can't have the pallets but he confirmed he's the guy I queried about the products! I've repeatedly had a great experience with several employees about the available products in several departments they have offered to supply me with my preferred beverage and food needs. My main complaint is the wine nights they host on Friday nights; they do not spread it across the store and the stations get really congested. Also, two of the stations shut down 10 minutes earlier than listed and we missed out on those tastings. read more

My favorite grocery since they became a marketplace. But when you have successes it is easy to become complacent and reduce service. It happened to me today. A person I hadn't dealt with before (Chadrick) was in the seafood department. I requested two pieces of salmon each around 1/3 pound or more. He said they don't do that. He said he had to leave 1/2 pound pieces minimum in the case. It wasn't what he said but his rude way of saying it that really bothered me. He had a 3/4 pound piece that would have been fine. Instead he turned around, went to the cooler and came back with an attitude and a smaller piece (too small actually) but I took it and left with a negative impression. The other people that work there are usually helpful and have cut two pieces of fish when I've asked. It's not like he was busy at the time. Then I found that the brand of hotdogs I like is no longer there. The good news is I actually had a bagger for my groceries which is a rarity anymore. In general, I love Giant Eagle. This review is specific to this location only. Since its expansion, I haven't been very pleased with my experiences there. A few weeks ago, stopped for a couple groceries and wanted to check out all of the new 'stuff'. They've added a pizza shop, sandwiches, sushi, Asian cuisine, and even beer on tap. I only looked around and bought a few regular groceries on that trip, and I thought everything looked really nice. A week later I went to the bakery to buy a dozen cookies for work. I stood at the counter for 5 whole minutes while several employees looked at me but didn't wait on me. They just talked amongst themselves. Finally one person spoke to me and I asked a question about something in the case. She didn't have a clue, Unfortunately, though she was pleasant. While she was assisting me I noticed something drip on my head. There was a leak coming from the ceiling and a bit of water on the floor. Understandable since they've been under construction. I let her know and she just ignored it. Lastly, today, I went there for lunch. I ordered a 7 inch veggie sub. The bread was good, but that was the bulk of the sandwich. One would think that if the sandwich is veggie, you'd get a lot of veggies. Not the case. The $5 sandwich was extremely disappointing. I tried to kind of debread the sub, taking the center out so I could taste something other than bread, but it was no help. I made a small salad at the salad bar. The whole thing (container included) weighed a halfpound and cost $3.63. That's a lot of money for a bit of lettuce and dressing. It's just not worth the search for a parking spot. read more

this place blew my mind. the giant eagle market district concept is AWESOME! the best way that I can describe is, it feels like youre at a county fair. every turn is something unique, whether its how certain items are displayed, sampled, or just unique items. it truly makes it fun to shop there. i also love the lighting; its dimmer and thus more relaxing than a typical grocer, but still feels clean and energetic. i just wished i lived closer so i could shop here more often read more
