Can't believe last night was the first time I've tried this place. My friend and I wanted ice cream but wanted to try a place we hadn't tried before. It was 8:30 on Monday night so we were about to lose most of our options. Hershey's is open until 9:30. Perfect. My friend ALWAYS chooses soft serve places but it was my turn to choose. Of course it was all hard-packed ice cream. He got a Sundae made with the cherry ice cream. He couldn't have been happier- said there was a cherry or a half cherry in every spoonful, and that the ice cream was softer than most hard ice cream. He loved it. I got a scoop of cookie butter ice cream in a bowl and asked for whipped cream on top. Oh was it delicious!! If it hadn't been so creamy cold, I would have thought I was eating cookie butter out of a bowl. So good! His sundae and my bowl of ice cream cost about $7. VERY reasonable! And the young gal working there couldn't have been more pleasant - definitely an A+ for customer service! The store was super clean inside and in fact, we sat outside on a bench to eat and could see that gal mopping the floor before closing. My only suggestion would be to put some white lights in the trees that shade that cute little porch outside. The other two businesses in the plaza had no lighting whatsoever and it made for a very dark parking lot. Definitely try this place if you haven't already!! read more

I've passed this place for forever and always wanted to try it. Came in with friends and our kids. The lady working was very nice and patient with allowing the kids to try samples which was very much appreciated. Alot of different flavors. Indoor or outdoor seating available. The price to scoop size to flavor ratio was ehhhh. I was expecting flavor packed something special because it's "Hersheys" and I was under whelmed and happy that my scoop was on the smaller size because it was lacking. I should have gone to Cold Stone. I was just hanging out with my friends when we decided to go to Hershey's Ice Cream. This whole ordeal started when we walked into the store, and there was no welcoming or greeting. We were still being kind and answered the question of the day on their little whiteboard, but no one said anything, and they even rolled their eyes when we went to order our ice cream. First, my friend with celiac ordered and asked for gluten-free vanilla ice cream from a fresh pint because she didn't want it to get cross-contaminated. The lady then asked, "What is celiac?" The other lady proceeded to say that celiac was basically like a peanut allergy, which it is not. My friend tried to explain, but she was cut off. The employee then went to get the fresh ice cream, which took a long time. When she came back, she slammed the ice cream on the counter and said, "Why do I do this?" She then didn't even scoop the ice cream. After that, I went to order, and they didn't even have my favorite flavor. My other friend went next and ordered a milkshake, and the employees were rude to her the whole time. When we went to pay, Apple Cash didn't work, even though I had money in my account, so I had to pay with cash. At that point, no one even wanted to leave a tip. We walked outside because we needed to get out of the store. We were about to sit outside, but then we noticed a huge spill on the patio. It did not look like ice cream; it looked blue, chunky, and honestly disgusting. The entire outside patio smelled terrible. This was really disappointing because my other trips to Hershey's Ice Cream have always been good. Unfortunately, after this experience, I don't think I'll be back for a while.
