Unfortunately, a lot has changed and the place has gone down hill. The room we stayed in, on the main floor, was very run down and smelled nasty. The room was so cold; thermostat set on 87 and still very cold. The shower was lukewarm, never real got hot no matter how long we let it run. The room itself was very dirty. There were food splatters on the lamp shades above the bed, mildew in the coffee maker and bright green gum stuck to the carpet as you walk in. Nasty. I wouldn't recommend staying here. We won't be staying again, not worth it anymore.

The contractor is still finishing up his work, and while the landscaping isn't in yet, the temporary asphalt parking lot is good and striped...the final asphalt course isn't layed yet. Since there are not a lot of hotels in the area, we broaden our search to find a good hotel at a good price. Location - Redwood Lodge is right off the main highway running through Redwood Falls. You are close to everything the town has to offer and right across the street from a gas station and Walmart. Rooms & Building - The rooms look like they were just recently remodeled. There were a few rooms that still were under construction. The remodeled rooms were cozy and comfortable. They included a fridge and microwave. Amenities - This hotel doesn't offer a pool, but they do have a neat relaxation room that includes a hot tub and sauna. My kids had fun watching cartoons on the TV and sitting in the hot tub. They also have free coffee and cookies (delicious brownie cookies) available. In the morning, a free breakfast is provided. Food - The breakfast buffet had a lot of options to pick from and was one of the better breakfast buffets we have had in quite some time. They offered the standards such as waffles, cereal, eggs, fruit, toasting items, etc. but also offered breakfast sandwiches and biscuits and gravy. You did not leave hungry! Vibe - Easy going and super friendly staff. The hotel lobby was very welcoming and smelled like cinnamon and apples. The vintage farmhouse décor matched the town's vibe and made for a very pleasant stay. Reality vs. Online - Pictures that I saw on their website and online matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms in-person. No surprises.
