ER took me in right away, I was given pain meds, all nurses and techs were very attentive, gave clear answers, I was assisted within minutes of requests at all times - from the time I arrived until leaving May 12, 2026. Surgeons answered all questions, I felt safe, cared for and seen as an individual and felt both protected and respected as a patient. Pain meds were given as needed they helped me with both chief complaint and residual migraine I had upon arrival. They helped me before during and after surgery and assisted me as I went thru steps of recovery afterwards . Admissions was great, drs top notch, all I came in contact with were pleasant and gave help right away and informed me each step of the way about my care and helped alleviate my fears and nervousness. This visit was easily one of the best visits I have had to an emergency room. I would both recommend and encourage others to seek treatment needed from this facility without hesitation.

The whole experience wonderful and everyone was so gentle and kind and supportive of your choice, I didn't feel any judgement or uncomfortable feeling, I felt i could ask anything. They took really good care of me through out everything and helped me through my emotions. Hugs, talks, everything I needed while I cried. I just wish my partner was allowed in but I understand their precautions. Thank you to everyone there that really made me feel at ease during this whole process.

This 2nd time was so scary for me I don't even know what happened, I wasn't aware when they put me to sleep and I wasn't aware of being placed in a Chair after being in the surgical room. I'm just getting home and will be calling to ask what medication I was given threw out the process. I'm experiencing vaginal BURNING so I think they cut my vagina area due to tools and stretching... but I was not told about what happened or if that's what happened to me. Over all unhappy and scared.

Jenna was patient, listened attentively, and reassured me that the staff are here to help and listen to any concerns. She gave me the biggest relief after I felt I was just failed completely by a hospital that should've done better. Dr. Low also listened and was very empathetic to the whole situation. He heard my concerns about my risk factors, ran necessary tests and made a point to get me into another provider. When I called the office expressing that they were taking their time about getting me in. I called Jenna directly and within an hour I was getting a call from a nurse from the provider Dr. Low urgently wanted me to see. Dr. Low and his team made things move along faster with the provider. I was impressed by how fast it was after either Jenna or Dr. Low probably called regarding the urgency on the matter. Thank you Dr. Daniel Low, Jenna and the rest of his staff. You guys have restored my hope in excellent patient care. God bless you all! Joy

As soon as Dr. Barbour walked into the examination room she gave a dirty look. I smiled and said it's great to finally meet you. It's been a while since I've had a primary care provider and you're my new listed PCP. She immediately said that is meaningless to her and she doesn't care if she's listed as my PCP, while maintaining the same scowl she had when she entered the room. While there, she told me that my malnutrition had absolutely nothing to do with my sports and training injuries and argued with every experience I've had with my sports injuries, my colitis of 26 years, and my father who is having medical problems and doesn't have much more time left on this planet. I have seen two doctors since then at Harborview Medical and at UW medicine and they have both confirmed that malnutrition does effect sports injuries. I am currently a 44 year old man and a former professional athlete. Now that I no longer compete, I am exploring different diets to keep my body fast levels down and decided to try intermittent fasting. I attempted to do a more extreme version of it where I was only eating one meal a day and ended up becoming very malnourished, and this is around the time my old sports injuries started to resurface. Having competed in sports my whole life and even as an adult on the professional level, I have come to be able to know when my body is being effected by my nutrition of lack thereof. Dr. Barbour was adamant that my malnutrition had absolutely no correlation with the resurfacing of my old sports injuries, and even when I told her that this is just my opinion based off of my experience she completely disrespected my experience with my own body and told me again this has nothing to do with my injuries. Two doctors, Dr. Sheeks at Harborview, and Dr. Liem at UW Medicine have both confirmed to me, after I told them about my situation, that Dr. Barbour was wrong and that malnutrition does indeed play a factor in sports injuries and increasing my potential to have one or have one resurface. Dr. Barbour showed me absolutely no respect here and talked to me as if I was a child and not a 44 year old man with a unique life experience of being a former professional athlete. Almost every word and sentence I tried to speak she would immediately put down, argue as being wrong and then try to impose her opinion as being the correct one, even if she had no frame of reference or understanding of the situation, including my father, my grandfather, and my own sports injuries. Another disrespectful assumption she tried to impose on me was when I related my experience with my first colonoscopy. I had the procedure done in the year 2000 when I was 18 years old and I was awake during the process. The colon cleansing agents they gave me the day before did not work and they spent several hours cleaning me out first which was extremely uncomfortable. It was a very bad experience overall. Dr. Barbour completely disregarded my experience and said that kind of thing NEVER happens! I told her, "Well, that happened to me!" That memory is still burned into my mind and saying that it can never happen cannot make my life experience disappear no matter how hard she tries to argue with me. Overall I felt completely disrespected by her behavior. She would speak to me with a disrespectful tone even when asking about my sports injuries. One example was when I told her that I am having shoulder pain. She raised her voice in a scolding tone,"WELL IN WHAT WAY!!!!! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!!!!" Talking down to me as if I am a child. I am a 44 year old man, and this is completely disrespectful. I then had to raise my voice and tell her, however this would have been completely unnecessary if she had just asked kindly.

The receptionist who handles the phone and faxes is abhorrent. Imagine being the front line for a place that is supposed to issue care and being a short-mouthed drone devoid of any emotion. I've called to verify my referral for cardiology so that I may get answers in what is going on with my heart, but she keeps claiming that no fax has come through. She said that yesterday, but in fact the fax had come through because they sent a response back to my ND needing clarification on something. She responded back at 3pm yesterday. When I called to confirm today, she immediately said no, I informed her I verified with my ND and mentioned the back and forth yesterday and she still said she didn't have them, that she manned all the faxes so she would know. Firstly, lose the attitude. Maybe you made a mistake, you're not going to take 3 seconds to double check? SHE NEEDS TO BE FIRED and work in a job where she doesn't deal with people. **Editing to add: Two stars given back for the OTHER receptionist I talked to that helped me to figure out what actually happened with the fax, rather than just write me off. They need more of you.

Furthermore, we encountered significant deficiencies in the hospital's operational systems, which appear to be outdated. Given these experiences, we would not recommend their medical facilities in the future.

Pros: Check-in staff will guide you to whatever department you are heading to, and direct you to use e-service for self check-ins. Fancy little waiting area , ETA for wait is averagely between 15-20 min upon arrival. Friendly employee with decent attitude measuring vital signs and typing your symptoms. Once , I went to see the family doctor aka healthcare coordinator when I had paronychia on my foot toe. He addressed it quickly and decently with super painless treatment. Thank you Dr.Cavaille. Cons: Whoever shifted the pharmacy needs to be get rid of. Before my co-payment was $5, and now it raised up to $40. WTH? Makes absolutely no sense. There's an old man who had issues dealing with Asian customers , very rude and unprofessional. Switching dosage on mental meds without me or my care provider's permission. Parking gives me headache so I prefer walk than drive. Overall, only coming to refill my meds.
