The building itself is fairly typical of most hospital buildings, but rather well signed so navigation through the halls was remarkably easy. The Imaging Services was found not far away from the little coffee stand and check in was easy and painless. The lady at the check in counter was courteous, and explained the process to me. She provided me a sheet where she wrote down her name and told me that every time someone new was to talk to me that they would also write down their name and position for my reference. I found this to be extremely helpful, not often do I successfully remember medical professionals' names if I don't see them regularly. The reception room was medium sized with a large aquarium off to the side. It appeared that a children's play area was also located beyond the aquarium, which was a nice touch since that allowed the kids to play in privacy instead of having random people watch them, and the random people could also have their privacy as well. I didn't wait long before the imaging technician called my name. My appointment was right on time. I was lead into a room where they did their ultrasound and the imaging technician took my paper and wrote down her name and job title. She then explained to me in detail what was going to happen. The nice thing about it was the goop that they spread on my skin was warm. The last time I did an ultrasound the goop was cold. I didn't think much of it at the time, but with warm goop I realized how much nicer that was. The technician was very friendly, courteous, and easy going. I felt very at ease with her. When I asked questions about what she was seeing she moved the screen my direction and explained all the shapes that displayed on her screen. After the ultrasound was done she left momentarily to see if the physician wanted to ask any questions or see anything, and then came back to tell me I could go. She waited for me on the other side of the door and then helped me find my way out. The whole experience was rather easy going and pleasant really. They took away a lot of the nervousness that goes into something like this.

Once the mistake was caught ( day of), I explained to them my situation and said I was only able to come the rest of that day or the next. The woman scoffed at me and was pretty rude considering they made the mistake. I guess the lesson is to watch carefully what you are scheduled for because someone else's carelessness can cost you the ability to take care of yourself and your health. Pretty sad Rayus. The appointment was nowhere near my house. I arrived on time. You have to go through a covid checkpoint with a long line (also understandable). Then someone else checks you in. She takes forever, keeps saying she can't read the small print on my insurance card. After all this my appointment is at 11:15. It is now 11:20. They ask me to find a seat in the waiting area. Then someone comes in and tells me I will have to rebook my appointment because they are just too booked up. Unbelievable. The staff didn't care at all and totally dismissed me. I was in absolute shock. I had heard to steer clear of Franciscan. I had also heard that many doctors had left because working there was awful. Sounds pretty spot on to me. Please do not waste your time. Franciscan does not care about you in any way.

This was completed at Swedish Breast Center in Edmonds, and yet another physician evaluated the results and found it inconclusive. An MRI was strongly recommended. My physician finally convinced the insurance company to approve the MRI. Fast forward to 11/22/24 with an early afternoon MRI appointment at Seattle Radiology on Seattle's First Hill neighborhood. Scheduling was thorough and professional. Park in the parking garage adjacent to the Nordstrom Tower versus street parking. Payment is via QR code at the end, just follow the prompts. Likewise, this location is accessible via Metro Rapid Ride Route G along Madison. Seattle Radiology is located on the 9th floor. Check-in at the reception desk where ID and insurance coverage card will be requested. Other documents are reviewed, signed, dated via an adjacent screen. Additional paperwork will be provided via clipboard to be completed. Waiting area is clean with comfortable seating, has a calming aquarium, lots of natural light, and nice views. Unisex restroom is conveniently located nearby. Pro tips: shower but refrain from using any deodorant, lotions, makeup, fragrance. Eat sparingly, be hydrated. Use the restroom before the MRI appointment. My name was finally called, where I was brought back by an MRI technologist, completed & verified information, shown a locker area to change from street clothes to blue scrubs and lock up one's personal belongings. An IV line was started and flushed. This is where the contrast dye was injected. I was then situated appropriately just outside the MRI tube. An overview and an opportunity to ask questions was provided. A communication squeeze gadget was placed in one hand, warm blanket placed on me, and headphones placed over my ears. I was placed in the tube. I closed my eyes, focused on remaining calm and still as the testing commenced. Thankfully, the 45 minute session was completed in three increments without incident. I did not feel rushed or claustrophobic during my entire appointment. The technologist had a pleasant and professional demeanor. This was reassuring regarding their competency to oversee this MRI procedure. I am still awaiting the final results. However, from scheduling, check-in, and completing the MRI procedure, I had a positive experience at Seattle Radiology.

The surgery on both legs failed done by the hospital. I was skeptical about doing it again but the pain was unbearable at times so I made an appointment last year with vanishing veins. I can say that I wish I would have gone through them first, I haven't been happier! The pain in both legs is gone and they look great. Scheduling the appointments were easy and there was almost no wait time in the waiting room. A very comfortable experience from start to finish.
