At the suggestions of our neighbor, who did some work with Merino's for the other side of their yard, I reached out to them. Gerardo responded very quickly, got the pertinent details from my yard requirements, and showed up precisely when he said he would. They put together proposal, which was very competitive compared to the other ones, and I also had seen their work that was done on the other side of the yard. I was going to be out of town at the time, so I told him I needed it to be done before I left, or after I got back. He responded very quickly and said he could come out that afternoon and start the job. He showed up as promised, got the majority of the poles set that day, and his team came back the next day and knocked out 90% of the replacement and repaired fence. They showed up a day later for the final touches she clean up! Great job! I'm planning to bring him back to do some work on the front of my fence, which will be all on my bill. As far as splitting it with my neighbor, he did an excellent job of sending split invoices to both of us, no issues there! I would definitely recommend Gerardo and Merino's again.

Got a competing quote and Diego was way more affordable. His crew came just a couple of days after I got the quote. These guys did an incredible job--they got on their ladder and trimmed way up some very mature laurels we have. Trimmed just enough so it looked tidy and wasn't encroaching on the sidewalk, but nothing too overly aggressive--our hedges still give lots of privacy. He's got the bucket truck set up in between my neighbor's trees and mine, all ready to go. It cost $350 to top my tree not including disposal, which we'll handle. It was done in less than ten minutes total and didn't require moving the truck, as three other workers hang out on the ground to watch the show. I'm glad Jeff is good at his job, but wow. Apparently it would've cost a few hundred more if the truck wasn't already there. I know a few other reviews have praised their competitive pricing, but that's nearly as much as I recently paid for someone to climb and trim branches 60' off the ground. Every coin has two sides I guess. Maybe they can offer competitive prices on other jobs because of easy jobs like mine? Yelp calls 3 stars "OK" and that's how I felt about the work that was done for the price. It's OK, I guess. I probably wouldn't consider them for other work on my property based on this experience.
