They have taught patience and calmed me from the anger I felt about the situation that we need move forward and focus on my healing. Megan called several days before and was open to talking thru a complex story to better understand my moms needs and how to make sure she would be safe at rehab. She coordinated with me, the hospital and the rehab daily to make sure all went well. The floor staff have been excellent and really seem sweet with my mom. They are staffed better than I expected (staff to patient ratio) and when I have shown up unexpectedly to see my mom she is always up, dressed, fed and her bed and room are kept decent. We have had to help here and there when with her but that's more us just wanting to help out caring for our mom vs any gaps in care (IE things like help feed her, straighten her room, move out food trays, etc). The patients/family are encouraged to pick each meal for the week and the options have been varied, and my mom has actually really enjoyed them which was great because she was not eating at the hospital. She reports to me that she has done well at therapy although, of course she doesn't love it :) but all in all I'm really impressed with the way that she was taken care of at this facility. We had a short stay at a different rehab prior to this one and the comparison is night and day!

I was referred to have PT on a low back issue. Appointments were hard to schedule because they are…read moreso busy. No one therapist could see me for all visits. The 2 PTs were both wonderful except it seems they forgot that I have a torn knee also and yet they started me every time on a cycle despite the knee. We got to the point to try Deep tissue laser therapy. They told me it was $50 per treatment. For both sessions I was put in a room with a whole list of prices and there on the list was a package price for 4 laser sessions. When I brought payment after the second session I told the lady I was going to buy the 4 pack. She had no idea what I was talking about. She was going to research and let me know the next time. The list price was NOT honored, manager said that list was supposed to be for another area that they ended up not opening but she still would not honor the price even tho it was posted in 2 different treatmen rooms. I told her I would expect them to honor it and she kept saying it was wrong and never would agree to the package price THAT THEY HAVE POSTED IN TREATMENT ROOMS. It was their mistake and it should have been honored. I cancelled the rest of my PT sessions and left. A few days later I asked my chiropractor about the same therapy and he said he had the same thing in his office. Sure we could do it! His cost? $15 per session compared to Ratner's $50 per session and no package price. So basically they are there to rip people off and have zero integrity when faced with their mistakes. I do t think this office has any regard for people's time. I arrived for my appointment early and…read morewaited 30 mins in the waiting room. I approached the front desk and asked what time my appointment was because I had been waiting for 30 mins. When I was told my appt time was 30 mins over due I was told there were still two patients ahead of me. I sat down and waited another 15 mins, I then went and told the desk clerk to annotate my chart as not seen due to doctor availability. They didn't even offer to reschedule my appt. In fact they didn't even care that I would be seen. I am now without a prescription, PT referral and still in pain. Don't think I'll be returning.

Also good luck trying to get them to answer the phone to schedule an appointment. Expect to wait 45 minutes or more after you check in for your scheduled appointment. Dr Minor would not prescribe anything for pain instead I got a steroid hip injection that did not help! had to see Lonestar ortho for my back pain to get pain meds. The worst thing I experienced was them filing my insurance incorrectly. I had to call Medicare and BCBS and coordinate benefits myself then after BCBS paid the bill TOA were claiming I still owe them $1035 and would not schedule my surgery! I offered to do a 3 way call with their billing office to verify it's been paid and that they need to contact the local BCBS office. TOA didn't have it posted and until it is TOA will not do my extremely painful hip replacement surgery. It's been 2 weeks that the bill has been paid and not one phone call from them! I decided to go to Lonestar Ortho in Burleson and they scheduled my surgery a week later. Lonestar was going to schedule it July 17th but I stressed to them my pain level and issues with TOA so they scheduled me July 3rd. The only reason I went back to TOA was because I had a great experience with Dr Papaliodis for my shoulder replacement 3 yrs ago. After the poor patient care I received for my hip, iI will not go to TOA ever again,

This ultimately comes down to the staff operating the location. And I can say that if your doctor sends you here, you'll be well cared for and looked after by a team of people who are wonderful at their job. I'm the kind of person who needs to understand things. It helps me remain dedicated to the task. So when I say how much I've enjoyed working with these folks on improving my health, that is a big part of it. They don't just sit you up on a table with a manual and tell you to do the stretches, the explain why. Explain which muscle group the set will focus on building. Why we are trying to build strength here, what benefits will come from this workout, and on and on down the line. It's great, and I always leave feeling like I've been helped. My primary PT here is named Breeanna. I feel very fortunate to have her helping me. She is professional, she answers all my questions, and I can just tell that she is dedicated to helping others, which I'd say is as noble a goal as anyone could ever hope for. The rest of the team is also wonderful. At one point or another, I think I've spoken with every person who works here and they are all very helpful. I feel like my time at ATI is going to end with me being far better off than when I began. And this isn't my first round of PT. Places in the past had left a much less favorable opinion in my mind, so it's very nice to work with people who are so eager to help others in need.
