This package would allow the team to look at my room and the pieces I currently had and shop for all of the finishing touches I needed including paint and wallpaper. And the results are amazing, I never want to leave my room. I told her I didn't want a 'gallery look'; I want something more uneven, warm and quirky. When she came back with the overly expensive frames, she hung them up in a 'gallery look' way. She did not have the original picture we had agreed upon. I will basically have to re-hang everything. Do not recommend.

I purchased an Amazon Local deal paying $50 for $150 worth of framing. I definitely needed the help on the price, because this ended up being much, much more expensive than I expected. I was very happy with the job they did, and it was very professionally done, but the price was really high for the job. My family is really fond of movie posters and so I brought one in to get it framed for my mother for Christmas. Even with the busy holiday, she took the job gladly and got it done well within the agreed time. However, I only wanted a very basic, really classy and simple frame for the poster, and they did not have much selection in that department. Somehow, the job ended up being over $200 even though it was only a movie poster with one of their most basic black frames. I know framing is expensive in the DMV area, but even for the location that seemed an inordinate price. I'm giving them 3 stars because they did do a really nice job. However, I am tempted to go with 2 stars because of the ridiculous price considering the job. If you have really incredible art, bring it here. But if you want a simple job done, go somewhere else....this is not the place for you.

For background, I have no interest in interior design and have no business spending real money on furniture I know nothing about. But I found myself in a situation where I had nothing for a space that had to be smartly utilized. And I wanted it to be beautiful. Was this really the time to experiment with Pinterest while spending thousands of dollars? & I needed the furniture to last long enough that I wouldn't have to think about this again for a very, very long time. I also needed to buy everything during a pandemic, when everything was delayed... So I turned to an option I never had considered before - hiring interior designers. I had heard great things about this team and wanted to explore sourcing this huge project out to them. It's a pretty simple process. You go to their website and fill out an intake form that introduces yourself and the project. Then they'll sell up a virtual call to meet and discuss your style, and budget. Then they came and looked at the space, took measurements. Then they pitched a proposal. From there you have to make some decisions. They are going to present you with options that may be outside of your budget. This is where we gotta grow up a little and recognize that if you want nice things, this is how much that actually cost. I was happy to increase my original proposed budget to get what I needed. But there were some peices that I wanted to spend less on and they quickly came back with lower priced options. They were very adaptable there. With that, they placed the order! Over the course of the next few months, the furniture started arriving. They work with a contractor who you can hire (through them, they handle all the admin work) who can assemble, hang, etc do all that work for you. They even came over to make sure everything was hung in the right spots. There is a science and art to design that they are factoring into every decision for your space, and it's worth their fee to get all your nice new furniture all in the right place. They look for beauty and functionality in every detail of the space. So now I have this gorgeous dining room [photo provided]. Our guests are blown away whenever they walk even towards the space. It's exactly what I wanted when I described the target ambiance to the team. Beautiful, relaxed, warm, stylish. I can't tell you how happy I am with my experience with Splendid & Swanky and the confidence it brought me about my home.
