I appreciate that very much - it's the sort of honesty that gets you repeat business. As for the work itself, it couldn't have been easier. I appreciated how he made sure we could incorporate all the modifications we wanted. I'm especially happy with the custom closet doors, baseboards, molding, and new laundry room floor. The bathrooms were clean and nice but you do have to walk through a staff area to get to them. I found some really great pieces here! Some Value Village tips- think carefully about which day to come. Mondays and Thursdays have 25% off sales but they are busy. Weekends are busy too. You can always get a 20% off coupon if you donate. Also, since there are no changing rooms wear something close fitting so you can try on clothes over what you're wearing.

Guess who just got new blinds and shades installed, YAY! I also got a cat that (by accident) broke some of the blinds panels... and in other instances, the blinds just stopped opening because the mechanisms broke. So I've been thinking about getting new blinds for quite a while, and I knew I wanted it to be something sturdier than the classic thin beige ones. I did some research, and realized the kind of blinds I wanted, but also learned that they could only be purchased through certain distributors. It seemed like a perfect opportunity to support a small local business, so that's how I stumbled upon Wills Decorating. I arrived one early afternoon and the place really did feel like a mini Lowes or something, hahaha. The man behind the counter was wrapping things up with another customer. I took the time to explore and I immediately found the blinds I had in mind. But I also saw these cool looking shades that could be opened from the bottom... AND top. And they had this cool honeycomb shape, I was intrigued! When the man was done, I found it his name was Michael, and he is one of the owners, and he's local local! He grew up near the same community I currently live. So we talked about blinds and shades, and we arranged for the co-owner, Valerie, to call me so we could schedule time for her to come over. Within a week she came, and I made some decisions that I am so delighted with now that the project is done. We discussed colors, I told her what my plans were for painting -- she was VERY efficient and professional. And she was also very friendly, willing to chat about my vision and give recommendations. Days later, she followed up with a quote and we made it happen. I had to pay half once I decided to move forward, and then the other half after installation. Another person, Dave, came and did the installation at every window. He came in the middle of a workday, and I told him when I had meetings -- he started with my office window, and I was worried about having to move my desk. He was able to easily work around it! He worked very quickly! I was thoroughly pleased with what he had done -- and it wasn't before long I had a follow-up conversation with Valerie and she was asking how everything looked. Dave had sent her some pics and she was as excited as me. All that to say, I am overjoyed and I'm looking forward to my next house upgrade (when I cool down, financially, haha).

What I can tell you is this -- I came here looking for decent suits and I found *many* of them. Racks and racks full of suits. I tried on around 10, I bought six of them. In that group of six, only *one* will need alterations. That's right -- five suits bought and ready to wear for right around $100. I've been to a bunch of thrift stores in the DMV. Really, look at my other reviews. Bottom line -- if you want real variety in men's suits, I haven't found any place better yet. Yes, maybe some thrifts have *nicer* suits on a per capita basis, but at this store, you'll have a lot of options and if you have a relatively common body-type like mine, you can come away with a full closet if you want it.

Cost was not cheap ( $735) but not sure how that would compare to something comparable in terms of quality. I certainly would recommend for a job done well and professionally ( very experienced). When I was inquiring on bids they were very responsive. I was asked if I wished to tip ( told up to me) and I did which added another 15%, it was my choice, but you might just want to be prepared. I would have wished to know this in advance.
