Probably the best thing you can say about our original furniture is that it was eclectic. More truthfully, it simply didn't really look that great, pretty much a "before" project on what you'd see on HGTV. Once Vanessa and Michelle got through with it, the interior of the house was totally transformed. The first step was Vanessa came through the house with her contractor, Arlin, and recommended changes to be made, including updating ceiling fans, light fixtures, installing recessed lights, etc. We didn't do everything she recommended but we did most. Vanessa coordinated all of the contracting work done by Arlin and his team, and provided all the quotes. The prices for the various jobs were very competitive, generally cheaper than other estimates I received from other contractors. The bottom line is that the results speak for themselves. We received multiple offers and sold the house for $110K over list within 5 days for the highest price ever sold in our neighborhood. I couldn't have asked for much more than that. Attached are a few pics of the finished product. I definitely recommend using Inspired Home Design for updating and staging your home. I'm sure glad I did.

Also, since there are no changing rooms wear something close fitting so you can try on clothes over what you're wearing.

I did some research, and realized the kind of blinds I wanted, but also learned that they could only be purchased through certain distributors. It seemed like a perfect opportunity to support a small local business, so that's how I stumbled upon Wills Decorating. I arrived one early afternoon and the place really did feel like a mini Lowes or something, hahaha. The man behind the counter was wrapping things up with another customer. I took the time to explore and I immediately found the blinds I had in mind. But I also saw these cool looking shades that could be opened from the bottom... AND top. And they had this cool honeycomb shape, I was intrigued! When the man was done, I found it his name was Michael, and he is one of the owners, and he's local local! He grew up near the same community I currently live. So we talked about blinds and shades, and we arranged for the co-owner, Valerie, to call me so we could schedule time for her to come over. Within a week she came, and I made some decisions that I am so delighted with now that the project is done. We discussed colors, I told her what my plans were for painting -- she was VERY efficient and professional. And she was also very friendly, willing to chat about my vision and give recommendations. Days later, she followed up with a quote and we made it happen. I had to pay half once I decided to move forward, and then the other half after installation. Another person, Dave, came and did the installation at every window. He came in the middle of a workday, and I told him when I had meetings -- he started with my office window, and I was worried about having to move my desk. He was able to easily work around it! He worked very quickly! I was thoroughly pleased with what he had done -- and it wasn't before long I had a follow-up conversation with Valerie and she was asking how everything looked. Dave had sent her some pics and she was as excited as me. All that to say, I am overjoyed and I'm looking forward to my next house upgrade (when I cool down, financially, haha).

Yes, maybe some thrifts have *nicer* suits on a per capita basis, but at this store, you'll have a lot of options and if you have a relatively common body-type like mine, you can come away with a full closet if you want it.

I was told that Dream House Studios designers have a reputation for incorporating a client's existing furniture into their new home. This was important to me since I have being collecting antiques for 36 years. In addition we were downsizing from over 7000 square feet on two floors to a 2200 sq. ft. town home on 4 floors. Working with Dream House was a frustrating experience; there was no design boards with colors, fabrics or furniture placement ideas; but there were plenty of design billing hours. What they did well was to help manage subcontractors such as painters and cabinet-makers AND introduce me to quality subcontractors. What was sorely missing was ideas and design consultation despite my requests for the very same. When I inquired about my last bill regarding ideas for drapes and what actually I was paying for (I had already canceled due to their lack of service) I was told it was "proprietary information". Seriously? I could have uncovered the same ideas in a few minutes searching on Pinterest. Over the course of last several months, I received more design ideas and quality input from both Bassett Furniture and Ethan Allen than I did from Dream House! Importantly like, both Bassett and Ethan Allen offer their consultation services for free! If you need help with design consultation, our experience would indicate you can do much better elsewhere. She not only did a hand drawn floor plan of each room to scale, she also planned all paint colors, window treatments, bedding, furniture selection, fabric, rugs, built-in cabinets for storage and wall art. You can tell that she loves what she does by the attention she pays to each detail of the project. Later I hired her to help me redo my house in Texas. I was a little worried with the house being in Texas but once again she did a great job capturing exactly what I wanted and paying attention to all details of the project. No matter where I live Fitzsimmons Design is who I will go to whenever I have a design project. Gina is a true professional and a joy to work with.

Extremely Disappointed - Poor Communication and No Accountability…read more As new homeowners, we were excited to move into a property with a pool, and according to the documents from the sale, T E Wood Farms was the original installer. Naturally, we reached out to them when it was time to open the pool this season. Unfortunately, the experience has been nothing short of frustrating. After multiple calls and even showing up in person at their facility, we were told, without any explanation, that they would no longer service our pool. Despite the receptionist being very kind and understanding each time we spoke with her, no one ever followed up on the messages she passed along. We even visited the business again in person and spoke with Donald, who we were told handles pools. Instead of helping, he spent time complaining about the previous owners and their child and offered no support. He couldn't even provide basic information like the blueprints or piping layout for the pool they installed. We ultimately had to hire another company to get the pool opened and discovered issues with it maintaining proper water levels. T E Wood Farms has been completely unhelpful in addressing or standing behind the work they originally did. At this point, we will not be working with them any further. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic professionalism over the past month has been incredibly disappointing. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend T E Wood Farms for any pool-related services.
