    Great poolside

We live here and love it! The front office staff are responsive to our needs and work hard to ensure the grounds stay well kept. And there's a nice pet park for your FURrever kids!

My best friend and I were interested in seeing a standard 2 bedroom as well as a 2 bedroom townhome. The Leasing Agent showed us to the first apartment, shortly after we arrived in the unit he told us he'll be right back to continue looking at the apartment. We waited, waited.......approx.15 mins. we were left alone in their apartment. As we exited we saw that not only did he just leave us in the apartment he left the keys dangling in the door. We walked over to the office to find out why we were abandoned in the apartment, and to get our driver's licenses that they kept in their offices. We pulled on the door and it was locked. We couldn't believe what we were experiencing at this place. As I reached for my phone to call the police to make a report against them for having our driver's licenses locked in their faciclity, my friend started knocking on their door (with their apartment keys in hand that the guy left in the door) A lady walked over to the door and said "we're closed" of course our reply was "what do you mean you're closed, you people left us abanadoned in one of your units and you have our driver's licenses in their." She refused to let us inside. So, I said I'm calling the police to report your company for theft of our licenses. She then quickly let us in, once inside we asked where the man was who left us in the apartment and she said "oh he left for the airport" What! What do you mean he left for the airport he was in the middle of showing us an apartment. This experience was beyond unprofessional we were ready to just get out of there. We asked for our licenses and she said I'm not sure where he put it. I said either you find our driver's licenses or we're making a report. She precedes to scramble trying to find our ID's while having a cellphone attached to her ear. She was confused and incapable of helping us. We waited another 15 mins for her to figure out we're our IDs were. In retrospect I wish I had completed the call in to the police so that we would've had documentation of their stupidity and unprofessionalism. I made several attempts to contact their corporate offices, and no one has returned my calls nor any of my emails.

Beware! You will be charged egregious prices for limited water and sewer usage here, and no one will speak with you about it.

The Reid Apartments by Fairfield Residential

    (5 reviews)

1 Star - Unsafe, Unprofessional, and Negligent Management…read more My experience at The Reid Apartments has been nothing short of appalling, and it is entirely due to gross mismanagement. Under Tiffany Mason's leadership, this property operates with a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic human decency. Phone calls to the leasing office routinely go unanswered. Requests for documentation are ignored. Simple resident needs--such as retrieving mail--are escalated unnecessarily and irresponsibly, including involving law enforcement. The stress caused by this pattern of behavior became so severe that it resulted in a medical emergency requiring ambulance transport and hospital care. No resident should ever be pushed to that point by the very people tasked with managing their home. Beyond management issues, the property itself is poorly maintained. Trash is frequently left sitting around the building, creating unsanitary and unacceptable conditions. Instead of addressing these visible problems, management appears far more focused on intimidation tactics and avoidance than on actually doing their jobs. This is not just bad customer service--this is negligence. Leadership at this property has failed its residents, and the lack of oversight from ownership is glaring. I strongly caution anyone considering living here: think twice. A home should be a place of safety and stability, not stress, fear, and chaos.

I have experienced multiple issues with management and maintenance. In a previous incident, I suffered excessively high electricity costs due to their incompetence. For approximately five months, I paid between $300 and $500 per month in electricity charges because maintenance was unable to identify the issue. Eventually, they determined that the heater and air conditioner were running simultaneously and canceling each other out, which caused the unusually high electrical usage. Despite this, the property only reimbursed me about $250. As a result, I lost approximately $600-$800 due to their failure to properly address the problem. More recently, another issue occurred when the full common-area corridor electricity charge was incorrectly added to my monthly bill. I explained the situation and provided evidence, including the utility bill. I clearly stated that I would not pay the excessive rent amount until the issue was resolved and that I should not be held liable for any late fees. I followed up multiple times but received no response. Despite this, a late fee was added to my account, which is unacceptable. When I called to address it, I was told that a voicemail had been left instructing me to proceed with payment. This is false--I did not receive any voicemail. They also failed to follow up via email. Additionally, the claim that a voicemail was left on April 2 is untrue. At no point did they make a genuine effort to resolve the issue. I am still living in there and waiting to leave this hell place.

They have an attitude with everything. They recently put a $50 charge on my account for not having renters insurance (I've had the policy active and paid with USAA since moving in). I've now called five times to get them to remove this charge so I can pay this month's rent. The online portal will not allow you to pay a custom amount. Now the charge is off, but with a $130 late charge. The package situation is dumb. I have a wedding coming up, so clearly expensive and important packages will be coming to me. The front office accepts the packages from the carrier, puts them in the back of the office and when you try to get them from the front office staff, they can't find them. I have literally visited the office six times to receive two packages. They also will not allow you back there to look yourself. They never answer the phone. This is annoying, because when you walk down to the office there is usually someone sitting in the office to greet you. Even if you have a tour of a future resident, have one staff member stay in the office to answer the phones. Even if you leave a message I never get a call back. I have called on at least five occasions and received one call back. There was even a time when a resident near me had packages outside their door piling up over a couple weeks. A neighbor stopped me in the hall and we were both concerned. The resident clearly lived alone and we were concerned if the person might not be alright inside. I go down to the office to speak to the staff who visibly looked annoyed I was bothering her. She told me the resident would retrieve the packages eventually and not to worry about it. I said, "Can you please do a wellness check to make sure the person is not dead inside?" She again acted annoyed. I threw my hands up and left. The amenities are consistently broken and under repair. For a complex that talks of luxury, this is far from it. Live somewhere else.
