originally made a review in the past and was politely asked to take it down, which I did in good faith. However, after continued issues, I feel it is important to share my experience. I first lived at AMLI Piedmont Heights in 2021 and had such a good experience that I chose to move back in 2023. At that time, the office staff was friendly and understanding, and I had no complaints. Unfortunately, my experience from 2024 to now has been very different. One of my biggest concerns has been safety. During 2023-2024, there was a serious situation where a stranger was given access to my apartment with a key by someone employed at the complex. After this incident, my locks were changed, but I was only given one key even though my lease stated that two keys would be provided. This was already concerning. On June 9, 2024, I lost my key around 8-9 PM and immediately contacted the office. I was told I would be charged $200 for a replacement because a locksmith was needed. I had an early morning flight and a family emergency at the time, so I agreed under pressure. After reviewing my lease later, I found no clear statement showing a $200 replacement fee. Management referenced Page 2, Section 9, but it only mentions keys generally and does not list a price. I also later learned from a former employee that I could have received a replacement key free of charge if I had waited about an hour and a half, which made the charge feel excessive and inconsistent. After I posted a review about this situation, the fee was removed and I was asked to take/change the review down, which I did. More recently, on March 11, 2026, I was notified that I owed five months of retroactive pet-related fees along with a one-time fee and an additional $20 monthly charge. I understand pet policies and I am willing to follow them, but prior to this notice I did not receive emails, written warnings, or any documentation stating I owed these fees. The situation arose after an individual in the complex began taking photos of residents' dogs on balconies. I was informed by a leasing office employee that this individual was upset due to a personal matter involving his girlfriend and a dog trainer in the complex. After noticing that a photo of one of the dogs I occasionally sit was taken between my balcony bars on February 9, 2026, at approximately 1:21 PM, I receive an voice mails pertaining about the puppy and I immediately contacted the leasing office to explain that I occasionally dog-sit and would comply with any required policies. I was told someone would follow up if there were concerns, but no one did. But this not surprising due to the lack of responsiveness to phone calls and the frequent absence of staff in the office. There are also ongoing property concerns, such as excessive dog waste around the property that is not consistently addressed, which affects the overall cleanliness of the community. I chose to live here again because of my positive experience in the past, but the lack of communication, inconsistent charges, and safety concerns have been extremely frustrating. I am simply asking for fairness, clear policies, and better responsiveness from management. read more

I toured this apartment recently, I enjoyed it so I filled out an application. However , since viewing I've had a few questions yet the phone just rings and rings. Have left messages via phone , email and txt and no one reaches out . If u can't get in contact with leasing office that is not a good sign, and comes off as unreliable. I even double booked a tour just to be able to speak to someone and they always say to just give them a call fir any questions or concerns but won't pick up the phone read more

Do not move here!!! Over a month ago my car was stolen from the gated parking garage where we have security that obviously isn't doing their job! I have not had anyone from the leasing office reach out to me with any updates. I've called multiple times to the front office to speak with the manager and every time I call they tell me they are leaving her a message but I have yet to hear anything from her. read more

Beware of discrimination!!!!! I was originally approved for one of the apartments. Upon being approved, I was told to provide proof of income by providing paychecks stubs. After receiving my pay stubs, they still wanted additional income proof. So I provided them with my tax returns as well as my tax transcript, however that still wasn't enough. They denied me because I couldn't prove my income. Which is completely BS! I gave them 3 forms of proof for my income including my IRS transcript. They never called to verify my employer or anything. I had to drive 3.5 hours for them to tell me that I wasn't approved after calling and emailing all week. I would not recommend this property! I seen a few reviews about discrimination but I overlooked them. I could've saved myself the trouble. read more

I have been living here for about three years and have really enjoyed my home. This is beautiful well kept building, the staff are nice and friendly they are being lead by a very knowledgeable young man name Tim and when I have a maintenance issue I can always count on Jerel to come and fix my issue in a timely matter. He has great attitude, friendly and does follow ups when needed. He turns my maintenance issues around in less than 24 hours. These are the reasons I enjoy living here. For the record, the location had all of the documentation. A good part of the issue is that their phone service is not operated by them directly. They use a third partly phone service so getting a hold them is impossible. My experience is they didn't respond to direct phone lines or email once you are stuck there as a tenant. One of the times I went in person staff actually closed their office and said they are too busy. It was just horrendously bad customer service, like they genuinely did not want to address the problem. It was the slowest repair response across all complexes I ever lived in. Just please before you lease, review the one stars as they really explain the same types of issue where the tenant is low priority. Thankfully I'll never have to live here again. It's incredible how poor the service response is when there's really an ongoing issues in the unit. read more

I Love living at The Amli Piedmont Heights, it has met all my needs, I love the spaciousness, I love the location, I practically walk to all the places I need to go, I'm about 10 minutes (car ride) from the fun places i like to go, the staff is warm and welcoming (I've looked at several apartments in the area, by far they are the best) I had an issue pre-move in and the staff was kind enough to help immediately!!! The package concierge is a great addition my packages are always kept safe (even if it takes a minute for me to pick them up)! For my first place in Atlanta it was a great choice! read more

Fun story time. It's moving day. Only two elevators go to the fifth floor and one has been broken for over a month. We've gone several times to ask when it'll be fixed because WE'RE MOVING AND WE NEED IT. Their response. "hopefully soon. okay. what do we do? They tell us that we'll have to use the other elevator and park in the back of the building. Okay fine it's a walk but I guess we gotta do what we gotta do. BUT WAIT!! The parking area they said to use is being taken up? Can't park the moving truck now so we can no longer use the only damn elevator that is actually working! Why was this not reserved even though we told you we were moving and you told us to park there and use that elevator? Now our wonderful movers have to dolly items from the 5th floor parking lot to the front of the building. Unfortunately they are now taking hours longer than they would have had to take to move. Completely unacceptable that the elevator is still down a month later!! Upsetting that we weren't even given a key to make sure we had exclusive use to the only elevator that is working. Unacceptable that the parking space wasn't reserved for our move even though we told you we were moving and your office was the one that suggested it! I really hope your office plans on covering the cost of this mess of a move!!! To top it off there's two other people trying to move in/out ANDDDDD SOMEONE IS HAVING AN EMERGENCY?!?! In the event that you decide to move because you want more space, I beg of you to not stay on an apartment unit facing any of the roads (especially Piedmont). I lived in Amli Arts Center and transferred to Amil Piedmont Heights for a bigger space and comparable amenities and fixtures with more affordable price point. I had an excellent management experience at Arts Center and thought that I would at Piedmont Heights. Though I thoroughly enjoyed the layout, location, fixtures, ceiling height and amenities of Amli Piedmont, the noise from Piedmont Road makes it quite unbearable. There is no sound insulation in the unit which makes it hard to work from home and sleep at night. I've noticed some settling issues/structural damage from 3 - 7 feet from the exterior wall which could have contributed to the poor sound insulation (I am a civil engineer). I complained often about the lack of sound insulation and informed them I was looking within the property and other Amli's. Though the apartment had structural and sound issues and I informed them of such, I was still required to pay 30 days from notice plus $750. I was told that this was a decision of fairness, but I believe it was not fair for them to deliver a subpar apartment experience after voicing concerns for over two months. A 15-day notice plus $750 fee would have been a decent severance given I was transferring with the Amli Community. This is the worst apartment hospitality by management that I have ever experienced. I found that the office staff is incredibly cold. They are not "warm" or hospitable in comparison to other apartment complexes. They do not care if you can not sleep or work from home because the noise is unbearable. They are not helpful. I would avoid this place if you can. It's not the worst place in the world, it is just there are much better apartments at that price points, with a much better staff. If you need to work from home and enjoy a decent nights sleep - simply avoid. read more

The apartment units are spacious and reasonably priced for the area. The amenities spaces also exceed expectations. My main problems have been with the staff and their inability to communicate and the trash that litters the property that none of the employees bother to pick up. Regarding communication, on several occasions the staff has emailed incorrect dates regarding when annual inspections or maintenance will occur. Rather than send an email letting us know the date was incorrect, it goes completely unaddressed. I've had to unnecessarily crate my dog on more than one occasion due to the office's inability to keep residents updated. Their communications also need to include more details. As of this writing, the mailboxes have not received any mail in 5 days when their email said the mailroom would only be closed for 2 days. There's been no communication to let us know what's going on. Regarding cleanliness, the breezeways are filthy. It's difficult to tell how often they are being cleaned when you see the same gunk on the floors for months on end. There's also dog crap all over the property. While I understand it is everyone's responsibility in cleaning up after their pets, it is ultimately up to management to ensure the property is clean and sanitary if the resident isn't going to do it. Rather than watching the maintenance team stand around in the parking garage on their phones, I'd much rather see them actually taking the time to clean around the building. Also, the "Poo Prints" program they've been advertising for a year has never been implemented. Lastly, if you smoke marijuana, this is the place for you to live. You don't have to worry about this place being a "smoke free" community. They also locked one of the entry access points by the conference room due to "suspicious activity" but the the gates into the complex are broken half the time, so I'm not sure why the door is still locked. I asked one of the staff members about the door, and she told me to email them so she could forward the message to the manager since she apparently didn't have a good answer for why it is permanently closed. The door is still locked. The elevators also need some work. The elevator by the leasing office sporadically will wait about 30 seconds after you've pushed the floor button to start moving. And they are very loud for being somewhat new. And like the other reviewers mentioned, there have been multiple break-ins, which is expected in the city. They did recently install cameras around the property, which is a nice touch. These issues are what ultimately led to me to not renew my lease, and I've chosen to go with a different complex outside of AMLI that has better security, hopefully better management, and a visibly cleaner outside space. read more

Former resident here. The facility is relatively clean, quiet, and the staff is friendly. However, the building has leaks in it that makes the fire alarms go off constantly for long periods of time. So far everything is perfect! While all of the staff I've encountered has been nice and helpful, Thomas has been exceptionally helpful during my move in process. He is always patient and quick to respond. I've lived in many apartments and things have never gone as seamless as they have with Amli. He always returns phones calls and emails promptly. Over 20 cars broken into over the span of one weekend INSIDE of the so called "gated" Resident parking area. Management's response, you might ask? Place an UNMANNED security car at the gate. Ah yes, how effective! Might as well have placed a scarecrow in its place instead. Management only seems to make any effort to fix issues when a tenant places a work order (due to their 24 hour solution guarantee or tenant will be compensated). How convenient. The place is filled with loiterers. Seemingly every other person that is in the complex is not a paying tenant, due to them asking to be let in/tailgating. When driving into the gate, people constantly are tailgating us residents, who have access to open the gate, in order to get into the area. Surrounding neighbor clearly had an Airbnb, as every other week it was somebody different creating havoc, hallway messes, etc. No need to take your dog outside, as every person who owns one seems to just allow them to use the hallway as the bathroom and not clean it up. Long story short: 12 months living was 11 months and 30 days too long. read more

The entire leasing staff has changed over at least twice and the community manager has also changed. The hall floors are grimy, requests to have the tiled floors mopped have been ignored. I dread going to the garbage room as they are always dirty, smelly and gross. Residents are loud and act like spoiled children. there are three elevators that support five joined buildings. Read update below and also they've gotten quite a lot of new 5 star reviews look at those peoples reviews... they've reviewed this amli and amli Lindbergh... obviously they're friends with someone in the office. Beautiful apartments BUT be sure to make sure to get all the perks typed and handed to you. We were told we would get 30% off our bill and of course after we signed the lease and all that perk isn't even accurate. Be sure to ask about the fine print on although there was none when we originally were told about this perk. We just lost around $600 for the time we will be at Amli because the consultants misled us and then were told in emails they're soooo sorry about the miscommunication, burner they can't do one thing for us losing 600? Yeah. Definitely am not happy about this. Update: 5/23/17 We ended up having to move here because the lease was up at our old place and all this crap happened to late. So we go for our final walk through and the place is DISGUSTING. Kitchen was dirty, walls needed to be painted again, there was literally melted cheese all over the microwave, there was a pat tenants parking ticket taped to a cabinet... one of the door frames needed filling as it seemed to be cracked on every side, bathroom needed cleaning, patio was even disgusting! But this was the walkthrough that we got a piece of paper to notate what exactly needed to be finished to be move in ready... it was an absolute joke. Gym doesn't have anything to wipe down equipment for at least 2 weeks because they don't refill the dispenser... a couple days ago the pool was trashed by residents. Beer cans and pizza slices everywhere. Lord. This is gonna be a longggg 13 months. 6/1 UPDATE. Emily the community manager did call in regards to all of our complaints. She kept asking what can they do to make things better and if they needed to do anything else, but everything that has happened has already happened. Things should not have been bad after our first lie from 2 consultants about the 30% of the AT&T bill, at that moment in my customer service industry experience I would have done damage control and make sure to cross all Ts and dot all Is, but yet more and more things went wrong. Also I was told the consultants said they never said to us about the 30% but yet I have one of their handwritings saying it on the back of a floor plan we were looking at? We weren't emailed the code to get in the pool, thankfully someone was at the pool when we went. Lol. That's all I really can say... LOL.(Please also see pics attached since Emily basically said that we were lying about the whole at&t issue. Unless you enjoy fire alarms going off at 2am once a month and getting stuck on the elevator on multiple occasions, I wouldn't recommended living there. After being stuck in the elevator for over an hour in 100 degree heat, the leasing office responded saying verbatim, "that must've sucked." My Fiancé and I visited as we were relocating from Austin to Atlanta for his new job. We were here only for 2 days to find a place to live, were already part of the Amli family in Austin. We visited many communities throughout the city, and then visited Amli Piedmont Heights. We were excited to see a brand new community. Corey Love was extremely patient with us as we looked at 4-5 different floor plans and went back and forth as the next time we saw whatever we chose was when we were moving in. Corey made the entire process easy and was extremely helpful. Since moving in we have been welcomed with open arms and have had an amazing time living in this apartment community. This company, in my opinion, are scam artist I am a current resident of Amli Lindbergh and have been denied a transfer twice. Amli Lindbergh has become a dump and they use an outside company as parking enforcement which is not listed under the current lease agreement. The Amli Lindbergh property has been through three property managers in less than a year. Amli Piedmont Heights Caters to people on non color as a priority when it comes to transfers and renting. They lost credibility at that point. In summary, in the business of making money and customer satisfaction comes later. The doors around the property slam constantly, the walls and floors are paper thin. When I call and put in a noise complaint the management calls me and says they need a courtesy officer to come chill in my apartment for 30+ minutes to give me credibility.
