Nurse Practitioner Runsewe is unprofessional, rude, and lacks compassion. She is not even a certified doctor and wishes for the clients to refer her as "Dr. Runsewe." She has forgotten to send my medications to the pharmacy on multiple occasions, as well as "scheduling me for next month" but then does not actually follow through with this. I am on two medications and for the past 2 months, she has only sent ONE medication to the pharmacy. Fortunately I have some left-over from my previous insurance, but this is a BLANTANT DISREGARD to my mental health and functioning. I've asked her multiple times to please send them the day of our sessions as that is usually when my medication runs out. Just this past week I saw her at 9AM and she said she would send the prescriptions to the pharmacy in the "afternoon." I spoke twice with the receptionist at noon and again at 5pm who stated they had sent NP Runsewe messages to forward my meds to the pharmacy but this was never done. Flashforward to the next day and I still don't have my medications. I had to send an email to various providers to Green Ridge and ONLY ONE medicaiton was sent in the morning. NP Runsewe still had forgotten to send my second medication and was only finally sent after I sent even more emails out. I've only been a patient here for a few months but am already thinking of finding a different practice to receive services at. read more

I had to stop dealing with this place 4 months ago, because: The owner took advantage of the pandemic and changed visits from every three months to every month. People calling from their homes. They don't record calls so the alleged employee can get away with, IMO, harmful attitudes and no advice. It must be a revolving workplace as there are new "providers" every time. Don't believe their webpage. They only have two therapists, not the twelve they claim. Can't get an appointment and BTW the two therapists are not even on the webpage. At least one "provider" wants to be called doctor. But they are not listed on the Maryland board of physicians. You are better off looking elsewhere, anywhere. I give GreenRidge 5 stars because I feel my Therapist is awesome. But the back office is unorganized as F. I have not gotten a bill from them in like a year. I get a cll stating that I need to pay on my balance without providing a bill. I get a bill from Dentist, my PCP but these guys can't bill to save their lives. read more

Often do not return phone calls or respond to emails for prescription refill requests. "Courtney" "handles" sending these requests to the doctor. The process is never functional. Takes several emails and phone calls to the office to get anything done. "Doctor" Abimbola disgusts me. First of all, she portrays and advertises herself as an MD but she is merely a nurse. She will, unless you're very and loudly requesting, provide only 30 day refills, and not 90. I've been taking some of my medication for 14 years. Insane. She is not interested in clients' personal health in the least. Toxic. Stay away. Horrible experience. read more

Greenridge Behavior Health is the epitome of incompetence. Lisa in billing is the only competent person there! Kudos to Lisa!!! She was able to handle my problem quickly (in less than 24 hours!). But prior to her, I had to deal for weeks with Inez and Venia (receptionists) and they are both dumber than rocks. Manager Gwen doesn't return calls (or receptionists don't give msgs to mgr). All this over $10. They collected $35 for my co-pay, but it should have only been $25. It took weeks to try to get a refund due to poor communication and terrible service. Charles Besong, the nurse practioner I saw sat with his left leg draped up over the arm rest, crotch splayed wide open, drinking what appeared to be a bottle of beer during my session! Creepiest office visit I ever had. Very disturbing. For a mental health facility, it caused more trauma than it could ever ease! Will NEVER go back there. Horrible experience! Where do I begin? I was supposed to have a telehealth session today, and realized I had never been sent my link. I called the office to inquire and was told that Runsewe had never scheduled my appointment after my last one. The receptionist told me that I should call and confirm my appointment after every session, because the clinicians were too busy to accurately track that. I told her I wasn't going to do that, as that is the job of the provider and scheduler. She told me that she was neither the provider nor the scheduler, so it was on me. What? I have never been to a doctor, dentist, or vet that tells me I need to double-check all my appointments because they're not good at tracking them. I've also had significant difficulties getting my prescriptions filled at my desired pharmacy. I emailed a refill request with all the information they told me to include, and they sent it to the wrong pharmacy (one I had used previously). I emailed to correct it, and they sent it to the wrong one again. I told Runsewe and she told me I needed to tell the front desk. I told the front desk and they told me I needed to tell Runsewe. The only reason I ever went here was because I was having difficulty finding a place that accepted my insurance and was taking new patients. Runsewe makes no attempt to show any amount of empathy. She has complained to me about other patients. She once showed up late to the office in person, and when two of us were waiting, she took me out of order, bypassing the person who had been waiting longer because she knew I would be quick (but giving no explanation to the poor woman who had been waiting an additional 30 min already). Today I just got off a video call with Dr. Runsewe, who after disregarding my personal feelings and perspective, ended the session after 8 minutes without a single discussion about my meds. This is the second person I'm having to switch from because they do not even try. They give you an excuse to not feel bad and to "just be happy" and if you don't suck it up and agree, the exactly opposite thing your supposed to be doing, They just wave you off and start cutting your sessions shorter and shorter. If anyone has found a better mental health group, please let me know. read more

IF I could give this place 0 stars, I definitely would. I don't even know where to start. I've been dealing with mental health issues since I was 10 years old. 15 years later, I experienced the worst medical/"professional" office ever. I started going to Green Ridge in November. At that time, I was going through some pretty serious issues. I was living in Germantown and was desperate for help, so when I called Green Ridge and they told me I could be seen by Ambimbola (sp?) in the next few days, I was ecstatic because nowhere else could get me in. Let me just preface this by saying, I was in one of the scariest most depressing times of my life. I arrived a little bit early for an 8AM appointment (like what I thought was to be expected of me as a new patient), and as soon as Ambimbola realized I was there early, she got some serious attitude and mumbled something under her breath. She finally brought me back into her office for an appointment that maybe lasted 5 minutes. Her cell phone went off multiple times during the appointment and she actually told me to hold on so she could answer it. Seriously? Anyway, I was sent away with a prescription for one medication and a sample of another. To wrap up that office visit, I understood almost nothing that she said throughout its entirety. At the time of my next office visit (which I still don't understand why I ever went back), Ambimbola decided to give me grief because she claimed I was not taking the proper dosage of my medication, and that I was "over-medicating" myself. Mind you, I took it exactly the way she instructed me to - IN WRITING. About 2 months go by, and Ambimbola stopped giving me samples for medication that I expressed to her I could not afford because my insurance did not cover all of it. I suppose she thought this was funny because she laughed in my face, and said, "oh come on. I know you can do better." (Wtf?) After these incidents, I finally had it. While I was seeing Ambimbola, I was also seeing the therapist Alexia (who is actually amazing and I would actually give 5 stars to if this review was just for her). I expressed my frustrations and displeasures to her about Ambimbola, and it didn't at all seem to surprise her. Alexia then suggested I see Dr. Wang. I was given an appointment on a Tuesday. I show up that day to be told, "Dr. Wang doesn't work any day except Saturday." In my head, I'm thinking, "so why in the world was I told to come in on this day at this time?" I was never given any explanation as to how or why this scheduling error occurred, nor was I ever offered an apology. I was told my appointment was with Ambimbola, and I think I literally said, "oh hell no". The rude front desk staff member made it sound like it was all my fault that this happened!?! Fast forward to months later, I moved away from Germantown and Dr. Wang was nice enough to give me a prescription for my medicines to last me until I met my new psychiatrist in May. Unfortunately, I misplaced my prescription at some point during a difficult move. I attempted to call and see if this could be replaced or called in for me, and the front desk staff stated, "we do not replace any lost or stolen prescriptions." Okay, fine. So, I messed up and lost my prescription and you're going to fault me by screwing with my mental health?? Seems super reasonable, if you ask me. Not only was my request for a new prescription denied, but I was not even offered any other alternative, such as making a next office visit to get a new script. There was literally no care AT ALL in this woman's voice. Which leads me to my next complaint - the receptionist who works on Saturday is absolutely terrible. So incredibly rude, like it's unbelievable that she has a job. Anytime I've ever walked up to check in, she's talking on her cell phone and makes me wait until she's done. Not to mention, she brings her young child to work with her. Poor kid! This practice is honestly the worst place I've ever visited. Most of the staff at this practice would drive any person crazy, whether or not that person is suffering with MH issues or SMI. All I can say is, stay away. If you're desperate like I was, don't even waste your time and go straight to a hospital. This place made my life even more difficult during one of the hardest times of my life. read more

Less than 1 star Just received a notification that their data has been compromised, and hackers may have my social security number, name, address and DOB. The letter is NOT on a letter head, has no address nor is it signed by any person or entity. Given this and my previous poor experience (I was treated poorly, as if I were a child with no understanding who was not allowed to question-- and I, myself, am a doctor---) do not patronize this practice. They are unprofessional, not person oriented and not willing to admit mistakes or make things right. They are taking advantage of people with mental health issues who they believe will not self advocate. Despite sending them a letter describing my experience with suggestions on how to improve- there has been no response--- other than finding out that I now have to worry about PHI being hacked. read more

I am a regular patient of Greenridge Behavioral Health in Gaithersburg and Frederick Maryland. Services have been great until yesterday. I saw the Doctor in the morning via Telehealth and all went well. However, 7 hours later my pharmacy still had not received my prescription. I contacted the re-fill line via email and was assured my prescription would be sent shortly. Waiting near pharmacy which 30 miles from my house for 3 more hours and it never came. This seems to be funny to the refill department, but it's wrong and dangerous. I'm leaving the practice and retaining a lawyer. I recommend you go somewhere else for your mental health needs. read more

This place is an absolute joke. My last 2 appointments that I had scheduled ended up getting canceled. They call me to tell me to reschedule for the following week and when I try to call, the phone rings and rings and nobody answers. I've tried on numerous days at different times with no success. Arrived here today for my 1215 schedule appointment to see that the doors were closed and no one was answering the phone even though their website shows that they have hours on Saturday from 9 to 5. The only reason why I even came to this practice is because of Dr. Wang however I am not able to schedule appointments with her anymore because she's no longer doing ours here. So now I'm just gonna say eff it and find another doctor. The last time I was here the staff member I dealt with was incredibly rude didn't even look me in the eye and have a conversation with me to check up on my progress but instead spent his time typing on the computer and making comments about my disabled son. Mind you I had to bring him with me in order to meet their requirement that you come in every time you need a prescription even if it's a non-controlled substance that my previous doctor in another state was able to give me refills for up to six months require me only to see him twice a year. My son was not a behavioral problem or anything it's just that the office space was incredibly small and therefore it was hard for us to fit into the room where they needed to get my weight and check my temperature but I cannot leave him unattended. Don't waste your time hopefully I can find another doctor before my current prescription runs out because I will not be back here. Dr. Wang was the only good thing about this practice the rest of the staff was incredibly unprofessional and inappropriate throughout my entire experience here. As a result I have no loyalty to this practice and think it's better to find a doctor that's going to be a decent day and actually keep appointments when you schedule them considering most people have to takeoff work or other things in order to show up to these appointments read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. Have been going here for about 5 years and since Covid shut everything down, things have changed. Getting a refill is a nightmare and takes several emails and phone calls, even if you had a visit within the last couple of weeks. Providers miss appointments with no apology or explanation, and they often call in the wrong prescription. Only reason I kept going is they take my insurance and it's hard to find a place that is accepting new patients. As soon as I can find a new provider, I am running away from this place. read more

Note: The email listed on their website does not work as of 09-14-2020 Ever sense the COVID-19 stuff hit, they've shut down their office completely and move to a total "virtual telehealth". The issue with this is I do not do tele-health given one very important reason: You cannot evaluate someone over the phone. In person, face to face, is how a Doctor should be with a patient. I have called in numerous times asking if they are reopened to in person and am always told no. My dentist can do complete oral surgery on me, covered in blood. My primary can see me. When I need my Psychiatrist the most, they are no where to be found. I have been out of my prescription medication for over 45 days now. Target Pharmacy has tried contacting them numerous times to get refills on all of my medications but my Psychiatrist keeps saying no; she has to speak with me. If she would open her office I would. That's how a Doctors Appointment is supposed to go. We can sit six feet apart. We can wear masks. The works. My needs as a patient are not being met by this facility. I no longer feel they care at all about me. As a result I have been off of my anti-depressants, anti-anxiety, and anti-psychotics for well over a month. My family is worried about me and yet they wouldn't have to be if Green Ridge Behavioral Health would open their doors to their patients. Whats sad is they are supposed to be professionals in mental health and yet they do not seem to comprehend the enormous negative impact their "one size fits all" approach to their patients is having. read more

I have to concur with the other reviewers! My experience has been awful....it takes days of calls and voice mails to reach anyone, very difficult to get refills, and very bad service from both the front desk staff to the actual doctors/therapists. I feel that my therapists are severely inexperienced and are themselves in need of therapy or medications. Often their advice is unbelievably rudimentary, sophomoric, and insincere...I feel that I could have gotten the same advice from the internet or any stranger on the street. Recently, my experience with my therapist was so chaotic, I left the appointment with a strong hunch that she was either schizophrenic or neurotic based on her level of anxiety and strange dialogue with me. I could go on and on, but don't want to come off like i'm cynical. I simply want to let the principles of this practice know that they really need to re-evaluate their business model and invest some time in hiring the right staff and providing them with the appropriate training. This is common sense and really simple. Until then, please do not put yourself at risk by patronizing this practice!!! read more

Since I started with Dr. Wang and Nurse Bimbola at Green Ridge, I have never felt so listened to, respected, and in such capable hands when it comes to psychiatry and medication. It helps that I've had 15 years of experience learning about my limits and what works, but let me tell you: Green Ridge showed up at just the right time. I am a faithful client, and I plan on continuing with Green Ridge as long as I am living in the area. They put my mind at ease. read more

I've been to both the Silver Spring and Gaithersburg office; both horrible. It is almost impossible to get them on the phone. You need to call MULTIPLE times for a response. When you leave a message, they do not return your call. Also, they have cancelled one of my appointments without letting me know. Not sure how things are during COVID, but I was fortunate to find another practice right before COVID. Only come here if you have no other options. read more

I have been going to the Frederick office for several years, seeing Dr. Yousufi. Dr. Yousufi is fair and understanding. The office is clean and the secretary and counselors are great. They require a meeting a week, usually 4-10 people, and I talk as much or as little as I feel comfortable. My only negative about this office is their limited times for appointments/meetings. Meetings are only on Tuesday or Wednesday and doctor appointments are only on Fridays. But I learned to work around their schedule because I would not want to start new again at a different office. read more

Better than Most! I have been to quite a few different practices in my time dealing with my condition and this is the first where I have had a Psychiatrist that really listens and is knowledgeable and caring. The front desk receptionist is always friendly to me, welcoming, and a pleasure to talk with. My Therapist is no longer with this practice, but I found him here and am so thankful for that good fortune. Runsewe is my psychiatrist and the first that I have ever been to that has really understood my conditions and related to me and what I actually go through on mental and physical levels. This is the first place that I have gone to that I can truly say that the doctor actually listens to your symptoms and understands your condition for what it is and doesn't try to tell you what you are suffering with or from. I have had a lot of doctors in the past who simply just don't care and just see you for 5 or 10 minutes and write a prescription, but that is not what you get with Runsewe. There is thought and intent with every meeting and a sense of genuine concern for your well-being. read more

This place is complete trash. For a mental health facility they sure do a great job of adding to more stress, more anxiety. They do not pick up the phone, and it seems they no longer answer voice mails. Of course this is a generalization, however generally speaking they don't. They are through my insurance carrier, and none of my out of pocket expenses have been reported to my insurance. They amount I pay out of pocket changes each time. I see a new doctor everytime. The receptionist (one in particular) has no manners, she is short, rude, and clearly does not want to do her job. I am not sure who their higher management is but it seems as long as patients are giving money they couldn't give a rats tail about the integrity of their business. They refused to see my son for his scheduled appointment after his release from the hospital because they are unable to make a copy of an insurance card from a picture. Im currently stuck with this place due to my insurance. My experience has been horrible. Ive had several providers from GR, and they've all been bad. Runsewe was the worst. Upon her asking if I have suicidal ideation, and me responding yes, occasionally, she shrugged and said "I'll put down passive death wish." Like, WHAT? So rude and unprofessional. She told me I "didn't seem suicidal" because I smiled at the beginning of the telehealth appt. Also, she told me to stop taking my other prescribed medications (prescribed by my GP) , and instead to double a dose of my Wellbutrin. I told her no, please do not increase that dose. She did it anyway, even after me explicitly saying no that was against the recommendation of my GP as I was trying a new med and was not supposed to mess with anything I was already taking. Thank god I checked the bottle when I picked it up. Currently need to get a long term prescription bc I'm going abroad, and the NP I'm seeing simply said he doesn't know how. Avoid this place if you can! They NEVER answer the phone so making or rescheduling an appointment is nearly impossible. They suck at refilling prescriptions and do not return calls from pharmacies for refills. There is ALWAYS a different PA working as they can't keep the same one around for more than a month. The PA's barely speak English and talk to you for 2 minutes before finishing the appointment. Greenridge if you're reading this- you are a MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY and it is unacceptable for you to be so inept at your jobs. Do better. read more

AVOID AVOID AVOID. If you call the office during normal business hours they often don't answer, if you leave a message they won't get back to you, and when they do answer they are rude and unhelpful. Refilling prescriptions is ridiculously difficult- it actually feels like they want to make it as painful for their patients as possible. First you could only fill a prescription via email (they don't accept calls from pharmacies) then they switched to portal (without notifying anyone). Don't have user id and password for the portal? Good luck getting any assistance from the staff. Oh and the staff insist you come in for appointments once a month, even when its completely unnecessary and then threaten that they won't refill your prescriptions if you won't go 1x/month. I've been searching for a good psychiatrist for years and this has to be the worst place I've ever gone to. I would constantly be waiting in the waiting room for hours to get nothing but 20min of small talk and 15min of them prescribing me whatever they want without even listening to what I have to say about my medication. If I don't like it, don't increase the dosage and say it will get better. I was constantly being moved from one psychiatrist to another and they all suck! They're insensitive and cut all my sessions short like I'm wasting their time. The receptionists are rude as hell and always seem to have a problem getting my prescriptions to the pharmacy. We never even made it in for my mom's first appointment at the Fredetick location and I already had a bad feeling about this practice. When I spoke to them for the first time the representative was very alouf regarding the mental illness issues I was attempting to share with her regarding my mom's needs. She just wanted to get my appointment set and had no interest in anything else I had to say. Unfortunately, I had contacted several other practices and none were accepting Medicare patients. I made the appointment hoping I would find another practice before she had to go there. Didnt happen. Everyone else was full or didnt accept medicare. Fast forward to today...I had to call to cancel the appointment for next week because my mom passed away over the weekend. After being tossed between one voice message to another for two attempts, I finally just left a message cancelling the appointment during my third attempt to reach a live person. In my message I stated that my mom had passed away so we needed to cancel the appointment. I requested a confirmation call back, which I did receive shortly after I left the voicemail. The lady who returned my call stated where she was from and I thanked her for the call back. Then she just said she would cancel our appointment and nothing else. I asked her if she had remembered the reason I stated for the cancellation and she said "Yes. (then paused) Do you want me to make a note of that?" I asked her if she realized that it was because my mom died, and she said "Yes. I cancelled the appointment." That's it! I was shocked that she offered no kind words, or any words acknowledging what had happened, and I told her that I would have appreciated some "human reaction from a behavioral health care practice representative." She just said " Oh, sorry." I told her I was relieved that my mom would not be treated there, and advised her that a bit of basic compassion would be a nice touch from a behavioral health care practice. All I have to go on are phone conversations, but my first (and second) impressions of this practice left me feeling like the have the wrong people in these receptionist positions. I hope the doctors and therapists are more qualified to deal with emotional issues. By the way, I did not call during their lunch hour, and don't believe the person who returned my call was from an outside receptionist service. I have a loved-one who needed to get on suboxone post surgery. Dr. Ramesh was incredibly unhelpful, doing us a "favor" by prescribing her a refill, yet we had to pay out of pocket because he refused to verify with the insurance. It was a very daunting process just to get this suboxone. My loved one went on to be supervised by another doctor here at GreenRidge with the goal of weening off suboxone, since she's having unfavorable symptoms. The doctor did not guide or discuss with her in any way about tapering off suboxone or discussed in-patient clinics. It's frustrating to think my loved one's concerns were not taken sincerely, only told "it's up to you" if she wanted to stop. I'm not interested in her developing a long term dependency on suboxone, and my loved one should be swiftly educated and encouraged to taper off once she's expressed interest in doing so. We will be finding another doctor to work with read more

Dr Ramesh has kept me balanced mentally for 5 years & he's the best pharmacologist I've EVER found & have referred others to his practice & they were all very happy with the staff & doctors & therapists. I can't even IMAGINE why anyone would give a bad review. ... UNLESS they were an addict or a recovering addict. You see, Dr Ramesh is one of the few Drs in Montgomery County who prescribes SUBOXONE. This is a medication like methadone in which - taken properly helps those addicted to drugs stop & recover. I quite sure the negative reviews here are from people who are trying to recover YET, they test positive to drugs, in which case Dr. Ramesh WILL NOT continue l prescribing the SUBOXONE. If you are able to stay clean there's never a problem. I saw one man & have heard of other cases where the patient will get belligerent & aggressive when they don't receive their SUBOXONE. It Can stop the withdraw symptoms, from street meds & pills - most any drug, I suppose. And I'm sure there's more than a few who NEED this drug after testing positive TO GET THEM out of pain - but they are not given the med if their test show up positive There are probably a few who even LIE to sell the drug. Also, I've never waited more than a couple minutes in the Gaithersburg or the silver spring office. I will say I HAVE HAD problems with office staff not returning my calls - but when I leave a voice message for Dr Ramesh, any issue gets resolved promptly. read more

My son went there and billed my insurance $150.00 which insurance said they were only allowed to charge $69.00 for the 45 minute visit. i never got a bill until they sent me a letter stating I owed them $69.00 (which has been 6 months since visit) and if I did not pay within 10 days they were going to send me to collections. i have sent them the payment through my HSA account. They have no email to correspond with them and their phone is always busy. 2 Days after i got the threatening letter, I got the bill. Would not recommend them. read more

I had to switch doctors because of insurance change. The people rarely answer the phones. The doctors are awful. I have been to two in the Frederick office and both are so unorganized. Getting a prescription refilled is a joke. I have to call the doctors personally on their cell phone to even get a refill on medication. I have gone days without critical medication and suffered because of it. I am done with this office. I put up with it for a year and a half and I have no idea why I would torture myself for that long. read more

I had state insurance for about a year and a half. I went to green ridge for a little over a year. I started a new job. With great health benefits. So I signed up with my job. I waited 3 months for my Carefirst card to come in. Everything was fine till I told them I had new insurance. They told me Carefirst was my secondary insurance, and so was my state insurance. So I would have to pay out of pocket. I called both of my insurance companies the State Insurance told me they were secondary insurance CareFirst told me they were my primary insurance. I tried relayed this information back to several people including Dr Yousefi. They insisted that both insurances was secondary insurance. Why would I pay $279 a month for secondary insurance I was told by Miguel at the Silver Spring Office that dr. Youssefi would write me a prescription for my Suboxone 3 days later only to find out no prescription written no medication I called back once again and apparently Miguel lied to me just to get me off the phone and that dr. Youssefi was not going to write a prescription that I can go ahead and make an appointment and come in and self-pay why would I pay out of pocket when I have f****** insurance this place is a f****** joke. I remember going to Dr and when I needed my oxy prescription filled nobody had a problem doing it then now I'm in recovery taking Suboxone for pain management. they want to make it so difficult for you. These are the places, rehabs, therapist office, Suboxone doctors, these are the people that make people go out and relapse read more

I don't know what is going on with this practice right now, but they never answer the phone. When they take messages for prescriptions I have to follow thru constantly which is very hard when you have anxiety. This was never the case in the past. read more

The number 1 problem with this office is the GHETTO STAFF!! God forbid they have to actually work for there paycheck. They are rude, nasty, have no care for a patient when you call and actually have a problem and need help with getting your prescription refilled. I think they need to quiet there job and go work for McDonalds or maybe a ghetto doctors office in PG county where they would fit in. The office manager has no idea what she is doing either. They love to try to charge you $25 to call in a prescription to the pharmacy. Bottom line they need to take a class on how to treat others, or maybe they should make themselves an appointment and get on some happy pills themselves. Rude classless ghetto people! read more

Terrible awful heartless people with no regard for the fact that they are providing a health service. They don't care if you're getting a test to verify an illness you have to stay in school and at your work. They don't care if this is possibly the only thing that could save you. Just heartless. read more
