While I've been at college out of state and unable to be back home more than once a month, they've gone above and beyond to make sure my horse is taken care of, blanketed, fed and ridden. They are both are extremely easy to contact and have been of indescribable help while I've been gone. The lesson program and the training have been changed for the better as well. I've known Amanda since I started riding there and she was my first instructor. She's encouraging, knowledgable, and invested in the farm. All of the other staff are kind, helpful, and great instructors. Emily has been riding my horse while I've been gone and goes out of her way to make sure that I'm updated on how my horse is doing, to ensure that she is getting grain, and to get her blanket​ on during the winter. I couldn't be more appreciative of all of them and I would recommend riding, boarding, or just doing on a trail ride to anyone.

She is in a prime location literally 3miles or less from the veterinary clinic that treated our horses. Which also happens to back up to Jefferson forest which has miles of trails to ride on. Shaina gives top notch care to ALL the horses on her property. When I was there, we found out my horse was "allergic to Kentucky". She would keep me posted on my horses bad days when I couldn't be there and would administer medication, special grain as directed/ or needed. Stalls always have fresh bedding. Fans are always on during hot summer days. I remember a time when it had gotten so cold in the winter,below -15 or -20°, shaina rented an outside heater, had the horses inside and she stayed with them in odd hours of the night. She always is on top of the weather and has plans for severe weather. She decorates the barn for holidays and keeps the barn clean. She also has a nice sized tack room to store all you belongings, and was kept locked (when I was there). When I found Out I was moving to Kentucky for good, I had found a house that could support my horse passion. She was the first person to volunteer and help me move my horses to my new place, (as I didnt have a trailer). She also helped give the most beautiful wedding a girl could ask for. My husband and I got married in Shelbyville ky at a venue that allowed horses. When I asked her if she would bring my horses to that venue so my horses could be apart of my special day, she did not hesitate. She was excited for me, and asked about the safest route to get there. She also has a dove release business as well that I used during my wedding day that added something different to our special day. Shaina is phenomenal. The list can go on.

She was able to feed the horses and visit their stables inside and outside and watch other children. She enjoyed her time there over the course of a few, reasonably priced lessons. My only complaint is the name is a bit misleading, it is not close to Louisville. Having recently moved down from Chicago that one got me as it was about a 45 minute drive or so, I probably should have looked up the address before signing up though.

We will be returning in the near future for the general farm tour but if you are a racing fan I recommend you get tickets immediately - Chrome will be going to Chile soon and dates are limited - I cannot emphasize what a great opportunity this tour presents. If you miss it this season put it in your calendar for next year. We got to see California Chrome up close and personal! We got a visit from our friend Liam who works with these fabulous stallions every day! The tour was presented at a very leisurely pace. We were truly able to enjoy our time at Taylor Made Farm. Our tour guide Carly was fabulous! She answered questions and gave a very interesting overview of one of thoroughbred racing's megastars. We toured the breeding shed and the stallion barns. We each got individual photos taken in California Chrome's stall after feeding him one of his favorite cookies! Horse girl heaven let me tell you! We then took a scenic drive over the farm to one of the barns where Chrome's and other sire's babies are housed. The "California Chrome Experience" is a very interactive experience. Lots of opportunities for photos and petting the horses. After the tour we had a meal at Daddy Joe's Bar & Grill which was included with our tickets. Great job Taylor Made Farm for putting together a tour designed with horse lovers in mind. I would truly spend the money to go on the "California Chrome Experience" again. It was that enjoyable!!!

My…read moreson and myself spent the night here this past summer, we where beat as we checked in ( many miles behind us ) and Beth told me to make sure everything was accurate but as I stated we where Beat. She made a ten dollar mistake but I didn't catch it, but Eldon did and about 6:00AM the next morning there he was as we where tearing down and getting ready to leave, he handed me a $10,00 dollar bill. That says a lot especially to this working class dad trying to show his son bits this great country. This campground was clean. This campground was quiet. This campground was a great experience.
