Mine was a small project. I needed help with a backyard/side yard drainage issue. Doug accepted the job and along with his co-worker, removed existing river rock and soil, installed a drain from the back to the front yard, tested the new drain and then re-placed the rock/soil (in just several hours). Recent rains have proven the success of the work and eliminated the puddled water in the back side yard. I highly recommend Hood Landscaping! Doug was able to take my vision and make it better than I expected. He was always prompt, communicative, professional and courteous. He and his crew installed drip lines, landscape rocks in the planters and pavers leading to the back gate (yay, no more muddy mess!). He even removed an exposed tree root that was growing towards the patio and foundation. The curb at the end of the driveway was crumbling and cracked, so he removed it and poured a new curb and concrete in a dirt strip leading up the driveway. The cost was very reasonable. Doug was absolutely amazing! My mom is so happy with the work she got done. Response was super quick. Doug came out to look at the yard and what we liked most about him was that he wasn't pushy. He listened to what my mom wanted, gave suggestions that went along with it and never made us feel that he was pushing an idea to get more money or anything like that. He was so knowledgeable about different plants, trees, grass etc. He ended up remodeling the whole back yard and it looks so amazing. We had a hill that had a waterfall on it and my mom had it taken out last year. We had people give us quotes and one man stated he would need 8 more truckloads of dirt... Doug said nope! He was able to reclaim (I think that's what he called it) all the dirt and even out the back yard without bringing extra dirt in. We really appreciated that! He wasn't scared if the hard work! He was here when he said he would be and the work areas were left clean daily. He leveled out the entire backyard, laid grass, DG, redid the irrigation, planted a lot of plants, put a drip line on more that 13 redwoods and in all the plants he planted, put up 15 lights around the back fence and the list goes on.
