Went on Yelp to find someone to move some sprinkler pipes as we are getting a pool put in. I texted two people, but didn't get a response. I then messaged Doug on the Yelp platform and he responded within an hour. Ironically, right after he responded, one of the two I had text referred me to Doug. Yesterday he came out, gave me an estimate and today completed the work. The pool cut off a water pipe to my flower bed so Doug installed an automatic watering system, programmed it, showed me how to download and use the app to control it. He then was supposed to reroute two lines, but found three and set it up so that I have two drip lines and can add two more. He also showed me how they all functioned. This review is overdue. We used his services about 2 years and he did a very good job. He was full of good suggestions and ideas, and has a lot of experience. He did our irrigation, some concrete work, replanted some tress, planted grass and a new tree (including picking it up from the nursery.) We were very happy with his services and the quality of his work. His price was reasonable. At the time, he was very busy, so it was hard to peg him down for a start date on projects, and you have to call and follow up. We weren't in a big hurry to get things done, and we liked his work so we worked around him. Discovered a bad leak on a sprinkler clave Saturday morning. Needed to get it fixed asap as it does not have it's own shut off valve, so I had to turn water main off. I could only give Doug Fluters a day's notice to complete a project for me. The guy who was going to remove two dwarf olive trees from their half oak barrels into my front yard flaked out at the last minute. SynLawn was to come out in two days to install my lawn and my front yard had to be ready. Doug came out the same day I called him to give me an estimate. My husband and I needed to have sprinklers installed in our backyard after putting a pool in over summer. Our entire sprinkler system in the backyard was basically shot after going through a pool renovation. We searched and searched for someone to install the new system for us and it was more challenging to find someone than you'd probably imagine. Very few people would even call us back and if they did call us back, their prices were way above what we were able to spend. I called Doug Fluter's Landscaping looking to get some minor sprinkler repair work done. Doug happened to be in my area and agreed to meet me within an hour, even though this smaller type of work is not what they specialize in. He immediately found a wiring problem and rewired the sprinkler valve to fix it. He then checked all valves and the terminal activation to make sure everything worked before moving on. He also agreed to fix and replace all the sprinklers in my backyard that same day for an extremely reasonable price. He did an amazing job and I couldn't be more satisfied with his service. Doug and his crew did an excellent job in planning and completing our large front yard in a timely manner. He promptly responded to our request for an estimate, which we felt was more reasonable than other bids. Doug installed over 10,000sf of turf and gopher wire, as well as a 10ft border with over 40 plants and trees. They amended, tilled and leveled the yard and installed new sprinklers and drip irrigation, where needed. Deco bark was used to cover the flowerbed, as well as an additional 2,000sf of bark for future flowerbeds. It was easy to work with Doug. He was on-site every day and always took the time to discuss the progress, as well as advising us regarding the care of the new and our existing trees and plants. We initially contacted Doug to come out and give us an estimate on pulling up our sod, as we we're going to DIY our front yard in drought tolerant landscape. After providing us with an estimate, and then giving us ideas on our plan. My experience with Doug over the phone was a great first impression. I called him to potentially get a proposed bid from him on work my wife and I wanted done. He was our Plan "B' after reviewing his reviews and after looking at some of his work on this site. I decided to call Doug after what seemed like a bad feeling from our current landscaper who, has not called us or has used any good communication skills. Which have lacked horribly since we obtained and put down a 10% percent already which is 100% refundable since no work has commenced. I explained that to Doug and I guess I somewhat vented my frustration, which he kindly listened and understood. We set something up that day. He actually fit us in to come by to take a look at our yard......... To shorten this up. Things worked out with our current landscaper, who is also very good at what he does(whom I will not mention at this time) and took full responsibility in what they have done in regards to scheduling and lack of communication. Which my wife and I greatly appreciated and so am giving them the opportunity to proceed and things are much smoother in all areas thus far.
