A couple weeks ago I discovered a hole in the bottom of my chain-link fence. It was my conclusion that the hole could only have been made by the landscaper while mowing my neighbor's lawn. The next week when they were mowing the lawn, I asked the mower about the hole in my fence, and he sheepishly admitted that he had made it. At that time he understood everything I said, and I had no problem with his English. He said I needed to speak with his boss and provided his phone number. I sent a text to his boss who was less than thrilled about the situation. He basically said that his employee probably misunderstood me because he doesn't speak English and the employee said he did not make the hole on my fence. He also challenged me to prove his mower made the hole in the fence. Everything about the hole, including the size, the location and the way the mowers speed around while mowing my neighbor's lawn points to the mower making the hole. But no, I can't prove they actually did the damage. So, if honesty and integrity does not matter, hire this landscaper. But don't be surprised if something goes wrong, and they refuse to admit that they are at fault.
