Met with Martin about a chimney cap, Chimney has two flues…read moreand only had a cap on one. He said he couldn't put a cap on without repairing the chimney by rebuilding from the roofline up. We agreed and rebuilt the chimney. On the last day they were dismantling the scaffolding and I noticed there was no chimney cap, Martin wasn't there, only the guys he subs to. I called him and he said he would sort it out but they needed the scaffolding for another job the next day and he didn't have a cap. He comes by a few days later and now says there as never an agreement to do a cap, just rebuilding the chimney and he says it's in the contract. I re-read the contract and realize that it didn't actually mention a new cap but it did say they would re-install the old one. I ask him if he can do that and while he is there I will get him to install a new one that I would source. He ends up saying he will just do it, supply it and not charge me anything. Great news! Only I never saw him again. I called every two weeks for a couple months and it was always just about to happen. I leave it a couple months and call him and give him a bit of a serve because of the run around and he says he's on the way to the hospital to have a baby.. so I feel awful and say I'll just wait for him to get back to me. That was six months ago. I got Prime Roofing to give me a price and they installed a cap that week. Nice guy and you wish him well the best but he really shouldn't be running a business.

As I mentioned in my original review at no point did i never had an issue with pricing, the service technician REFUSED to come and view my property and the issues prior to giving me any form of quote to make sure what he was suggesting for repair was what was actually needed. THIS is why I rated this company what I did in the original review as well as why we chose to go elsewhere for a price that was higher but at least they came and viewed the damage first before making an assessment. I would also wonder how an assessment of my call was done with your technician when he called me from a cell phone and no one ever stated a call was recorded.
