Green Springs State Park is one of those places that quietly steals your heart. The spring itself is stunning, but what really takes it to the next level are the sunsets--absolutely breathtaking, especially near the water. Golden hour here feels like a little slice of heaven. And just when you think it can't get any sweeter, there's a nearby farm where you can spot mini cows when walking on the trail. Yes, mini cows--and they are the cutest, most unexpected joy you didn't know you needed. Whether you're coming to unwind, take a scenic walk, or soak in nature's magic, this park is a true gem in every way. Don't miss it!

What an amazing park !! Went early morning Sunday limited parking. So much to check out. It's clean with bathrooms. Very family friendly. A great place to take a stroll

This is a small public park with a pavilion, picnic tables, small playground, restrooms, several short trails (paved and unpaved), and of course the Green Springs. I enjoyed the hiking trails as they snaked around the peaceful jungle foliage. I had a hard time locating the springs until I found a couple signs. I even saw a small gator floating and sunning itself. It's also a short easy walk to Lake Monroe for a beautiful view. I'd highly recommend this little park, for its peacefulness, trails and adventure opportunity.

Nice little park with walking and bike trails. Little pond in the middle with a small alligator in it. Very lush jungle atmosphere.

Wonderful free park with an other-worldly vibe to it! The green color from the springs is worth the small walk to get to it from the parking lot. There was an alligator hanging out in the springs when we viewed it. Nice playground area, picnic tables, restrooms, and walking & biking paths. Worth a stop to check it out!

Green Springs Park in Enterprise, Florida is built on the first settlement, which was began by Cornelius Taylor in 1842. Taylor was a loud man who was hot tempered and was known as the "Thunder of Enterprise," he was a veteran of the Seminole Wars and, while acknowledged as a "bold and enterprising pioneer in a new country," his brusque manner also fueled conflict, including a fatal shooting. The park itself is an enjoyable respite from the hustle and bustle of civilization. It is nice to walk amongst the trees and imagine Florida before development overtook the natural beauty. The springs is the highlight of this park and a pretty cool thing to behold.

Found this little gem on TripAdvisor and wanted to explore some of it because of how beautiful it looked and how close it was from me. Like other reviewers mentioned, it's a bit hidden and thus pretty empty. Not bad for a mid-day weekend! Although it's 36 acres, Green Spring Park seems small. However, most of that is wilderness. It has a picnic pavilion area where you can grill and the rest room area right by the parking circle. There's also a cute little playground area and level hiking paths mixed in with bike paths. The main draw is the Green Springs and man is it beautiful! Sulfur is what gives the water it's distinct color and the usual rotten-egg smell isn't overwhelming. Unfortunately, you cannot go swimming here and there's a sign to beware of Alligators and snakes but I didn't see either. What I did notice was lots of mosquitoes!

Five stars for these beautiful pure green spring waters... However, I am truly concerned about the amount of people that love to use this spring as their own personal pool; even though, there are many signs that say "no swimming". Every time I go here I see the damage caused by irresponsible fun-seekers who make this their own personal watering hole.

Green Springs is rich in history and one of Volusia's best natural resources. The sulfury emerald green spring is as green as can be with two absolutely beautiful oak trees growing curiously above it. Connecting the Spring to Spring and Rail Trials this park's seeing lots of renewed interest. There ought to be security though. Revelers, young and old, profane teens and skinny dipping seniors like to make this their own personal private watering hole despite rules against it, signage and warnings. Sucks.

    Beautiful!

We had a great time hiking in this beautiful park. The only downfall was the homeless people hanging out. They were all fine and respectful but just weird to see them at a place that is off the beaten path.

This was SUCH a neat area to stop by! (FYI The address listed here is not correct) Beautiful trails and the springs is fantastic to see. We can verify there IS alligators in the area as we stumbled across one taking a swim!

Very clean and beautiful: you can't swim cause they have a alligator right now. And watch out for giant spiders if you get off the cemented track and start hiking in the trails in the actual woods, giant spiders

Green sulfur springs Green Spring Park is a wonderful 36 acre park that has some of Florida's last sulfur springs. Yes they are green and they do look strange. The water lever varies a lot and during the dry part of the year the springs aren't that large but even with a low water level the sulfur springs are cool. The area is dripping with history, starting with the Native American tribes having camps here to Frederick DeBary using the park to entertain his very rich guests. The park has a rather odd combination of paved cement paths and dirt ones. All of it is very easy hiking but with so many things to observe. Not only the springs but a plethora of plants and animals No swimming or fishing is allow here but that doesn't matter. It is such a cool and unique place that just walking quietly and looking, listening and smelling is enough.

You can hike the trails, kayak on the St. John's River, or fish in Lake Monroe or off the pier. Plenty of parking, picnic tables, BBQ grills, and a cool playground for the kids. Gemini Springs Park is located in DeBary, Florida, 25 miles north of Orlando…read more Since you can no longer swim here due to high concentrations of bacteria in the waters, visitor attendance can be quite low. And since there's alternative parks situated throughout Central Florida that are swimmable, not many people will make the effort to experience Gemini Springs. In fact, I'd categorize this place as a local town park more than anything. It's free to visit and hours are sunrise to sunset. There were no names or signs for the hiking trails, so at times it felt like I was wandering aimlessly. But, the trees decorated with Spanish Moss exuded southern charm and most corners I turned felt like strolling along a nature trail. There's a dual sided passageway that acts as the centerpiece to the park and is also a dam spillway which (I believe) separates the DeBary Creek waters and the Gemini Springs area. I did spot a gator which almost caught a fish right in front of my eyes. I also noticed a soft shell turtle who appeared to be laying her eggs in the sand and some birds doing fishing of their own. Gemini Springs has picnic pavilions, a playground, a dog park, a fishing pier, plenty of grass to play around, and even camping is permitted here. Lastly, I'd like to highlight a section of the park that turns colorfully vibrant when the sun is shining... - Follow the concrete walkway (which you can't miss). - Then...you'll approach a tucked away corner of the springs. This area can be a rewarding moment for admiring the great outdoors. If you just pause and absorb the surroundings, nature's beauty shines through. It's a refreshing reminder that just because a park isn't as accessible as it once was, doesn't mean it should go unnoticed. I believe Gemini Springs Park can be a worthwhile half day visit.

That or you just know it's going to be a good time because of who you're going with and that was indeed the case here. I thought this park was very cute. Entrance is free, and upon arrival, you see a big parking lot and the ramp to the ferry. And yes, ferry, because guess what? You're going to need it. All the activities are on the island and you can't get there without taking the ferry. Ferry is surprisingly free and they run every ten minutes or so. Extremely efficient! The ferry runs from when the park first opens all the way to sundown, which means that the last ferry to the island is at 7 PM and the last ferry off the island is at 7:30 PM. When you take the ferry, you may want to sit down. If you stand, be careful. I had a bit of a scare getting onto the island where I thought I would fall. That being said, I'm okay, but still - I heavily suggest you sit. If you're going camping, which it seems the majority of people were this past weekend, then you take your camping stuff with you on the ferry. They provide you with wheelbarrows to easily transport your things. Arriving at the island, if you're going camping, they drive you around half a mile to your campsite. This is convenient if you're carrying an arm and a leg, but as we weren't, while we were driven the first day, on our last day, we just went out for a nice nature walk back. Our site was #12 and we were the last ones in the queue, so my guess is there is space for twelve tents. That and the five or so cabins you can rent out to camp. I have no idea ultimately how pricey this was as I didn't take care of that part of it our trip, but what I can say is doing some activities at this park are an extra charge. Kayaking or canoeing for example. We went kayaking one day and I think it was around $30 an hour for tandem kayaking. Anyway, aside from kayaking, we mainly walked around and spent some time together enjoying the great outdoors. Honestly the weather this past weekend wasn't the best. We had rain, we had heat, and did I mention that even using inspect repellant that I'm covered in mosquito bites? All that aside, given my first camping adventure, it was better than I thought it would be. We had toilets, showers, and even a cage where we could put our food to avoid attracting bears. Oh, plus a grill and a table. Anything else we needed (like ice) we managed to get at their convenience store. It's not glamping, but it certainly isn't the crazy camping I dreaded doing... the one where you'd have to do your business out in the woods. Shudders.

The Spring to Spring Trail is so named because the 6.6 mile trail links a number of state and county parks that contain springs. This segment of the trail is known as the Pat Northey Trail, named for a local resident who advocated for protection of this natural corridor. Additional park amenities include a boat ramp that puts you on to the St. Johns River at the north end of the lake, a sand volleyball court, and a playground, but it was closed during my visit. There is also a 25 site campground, one of the few public campgrounds in Central Florida. Each site has a picnic table, grill, and electric outlet and a bathhouse with hot showers is provided. I loved the lake view and despite the alligator warnings the only one I saw was a huge concrete one that you could take your picture with.
