We moved into our present house and with a few months I needed to have surgery that put me in a wheelchair for 6 months. It got to the point where I needed help keeping the house clean, so again, I called Magnifica. They come in weekly now, like a mini-tornado, washing, vacuuming, dusting and mopping. My house is shining and off they go! I'm back on my feet now using a walker, but I still can't bend over, so I'll be keeping them on for now. They are just fantastic!

I paid $500 to waste 2 days and to end up cleaning a lot myself. The "free" work was because they slacked off, rushed, and did not complete the job the first time. Original: I do not recommend unless you want to waste time and money. The whole experience was so disappointing . First, the timing: I was told that there was a 4 hour window, that they would be here from 8-12. They did not show until 2pm - after I called multiple times. Second, the quality of cleaning was awful. It hardly looked like it had been cleaned, let alone "deep cleaned". There were so many areas that were overlooked. The railings were not even dusted. And this was with 4 workers over 4 hours. Our place is not even 1,400 sqft so I'm not sure what they were doing during that time. This cost us $500. I am adding a star because after complaining- the supervisor/owner did come out and had them re-clean the house. However in hiring cleaners, I would like it to be done correctly the first time. Having to reach out, complain, send pictures, etc. was not worth it at all. Definitely wish we had gone with another company. We purchased a new home in Albuquerque and were moving from out of state. We wanted to make sure that we did not have to spend days cleaning before we moved in so hired Maid O' Matic based on a recommendation from our realtor. The quote came in at over $1,200 including cleaning of the carpets that are on the second floor of our home. The prior home owners had cleaned the home before close so it was not a foreclosure or anything like that. We expected that for $1200 the house would be pretty spotless. We were told that we would get before and after pictures of the clean since we were out of state. The pictures never materialized even after several requests. We did however have before pictures from our inspections and final walk-through and we know that the difference was not significant. The good news was the kitchen. It was really well cleaned and especially the cupboards they did a great job on. The rest of the house was a different story. The baseboard were super dirty . I was able to clean some of the remaining dirt just using a rag and water. The windows which were supposed to be cleaned looked like they had not been touched. The bathrooms (to be fair to them I am sure there was years of hard water maintenance neglect from the prior owners) were not very clean either. We spent a hours on our own and were able to get them in better shape. When we called to complain they did send a few people back over for a few hours and at least addressed the baseboards....those looked a lot better after the second round. I gave the second star for their willingness to come back but I still can't help but feel like we were taken advantage of because we were out of state. We were hoping to be able to use them for bi-weekly cleans going forward but after this first experience just could not do it.

Grime in the corners, baseboards barely touched, most of the checklist I paid for untouched. That alone is a bad review. What moved this to one star is what happened after. The insects were documented by me and my property manager before I ever moved in, which is exactly why I hired a deep clean. They say I attended the final walkthrough and praised the team. I was told the walkthrough had already been done before I got home. Both of those cannot be true. They say concerns could have been addressed while the team was still there. Hours earlier that same day, they texted me asking about my break and when I'd finish work so they could stay longer. I agreed instantly. When I raised problems, the answer was a discount or take another day off work and point out the failures yourself, in a home they'd already been paid to clean. The flexibility only ran one direction. They close by accusing me of dishonesty, personal insults, and berating comments, then wish me well with gratitude and kindness. My feedback was that the baseboards were dirty. That response is deceptive and combative, and it is aimed at anyone reading this, not at me. However, in the past month, they have switched to an AI answering system when you call and text them. They have missed two scheduled cleanings and I have to notify them that nobody has come by. They usually can get someone out the next day, but when you are regularly booked for a day, it shouldn't be an issue. A few weeks ago, whomever came to clean couldn't operate the lock box I've had for years. I've never had issues and because they couldn't get it opened, I was charged an extra $100. I think it was user error, but we did get a new box. We had a rocky start too. I had first scheduled a deep-clean and assumed we had everything we needed done. My father was in the ICU and I was spending all of my time at the hospital. They didn't come when I had expected or scheduled and when I called I was frustrated. I was already at overcapacity and having to call and reschedule wasn't convenient at the time. We resolved that issue, but it did cause a rough start. The people who come into your home and clean are fantastic. They always do a wonderful job. I wish from a logistics side they were more consistent. When they miss cleaning your house, you have to advocate and contact them, but if they have an issue, they are quick to charge you. If we have another issue we'll look into other companies.
