Kevin Leibowitz at Grayton Mortgage was exceptional throughout. As first-time buyers, we came to this process with limited knowledge of how mortgages work. Kevin invested considerable time in telephone conversations where he walked us through the fundamentals -- how loan structures work, what the key figures mean, and how different decisions would affect our outcome at closing. He was never dismissive of our questions and consistently ensured we understood what we were agreeing to before moving forward. His value became most apparent on closing day itself. Kevin attended in person and conducted a line-by-line review of the final figures. He identified a duplicate charge of approximately $13,000 that had not been flagged by anyone else in the room, including our attorney. He challenged it directly, and it was removed. He was able to provide us with an FHA option as well as a conventional. We decided on the FHA since it made more financial sense for our situation. We were made aware by our realtor that the process for an FHA loan can take longer than others, but with the dedication of Todd and his team we were cleared for our FHA purchase in only 11 days!!! The seller really wanted to close by a certain date which seemed impossible at first, but Todd pulled through and made it happen. He communicated very well with our realtor and attorney throughout the process, everyone worked great together overall as a team. Being a first time home buyer can be both stressful and scary, we had a million and one questions, we would call the office throughout the day, as the phone would ring on my end I would think to myself "they probably think we are so annoying", but once they answered the phone they were very patient and tentative and made us feel extremely comfortable no matter how many times we had to call them.
