The level of service provided by the service department is TERRIBLE!! I took my 2024 Tundra in to get my second key(because of the fob shortage), there is a rattling in the driver side door when the bass comes through the speakers, and the radio knob broke off(with less than 2,000 miles on it, and it was purchased in May). They told me the know wasn't covered and I was going to have to pay for it. There is a 36,000 warranty, as well as I called the dealership where I purchased it after leaving Green, and told me there was a bulletin put out about this being a known problem with the knobs. Needless to say, there is a reason I didn't purchase from them to begin with, and won't be going there for service again! If you want a dealership to treat you right, make the drive to Sam Leman in Bloomington where they know how to take care of their customers, from sales to service! read more

We bought a 2008 Toyota Prius, and let me start by saying it has been an excellent car. In 15 years and 385,000 miles, we took it to Green Toyota for four different problems. They fixed two of them, no problem. On the third, they told me it needed an $1,800 fuse block. (What it needed was a $30 turn signal relay, which I changed myself.) On the fourth, they replaced a hybrid coolant pump, and in fairness, the car did go 1,000 miles before stranding me on the interstate. The next stop for this car is the scrap yard because I have no faith in Green, and I no longer have faith in the car. I'm sure Green is great at changing oil and fixing tires, and their service people are very nice, but a 50% success rate plus two towing bills isn't what I call great, or even good, service. read more

Just got back from Green Toyota. I had an oil change and tires rotated. Before this, I went to Illinois state Police Federal Credit Union to buy $100 in quarters for a charity auction tomorrow night. My sister and I both counted the 10 rolls of quarters and placed them in the glovebox before handing my keys to the service technician at Green Toyota. We checked the glovebox when they were finished & 2 rolls of quarters were missing. I immediately went in to report this. They told me they would check their security footage to see what had happened. That could take an hour. Within 15 minutes, they called to say the video did not show anything. They offered to take apart my glovebox since they had taken it apart to access the air filter. I watched them go thru my car with a flashlight but they found nothing . The service manager Bruce Patarozzi assured me that Logan had serviced my vehicle and that he trusted him not to steal. But the $20 was still missing. I expressed my concern that it was the principle not the $20. After 10 minutes of speaking to me very rudely & treating me like I was the thief, Bruce finally gave me $20, claiming it was his own money & told me to never come back. After purchasing many, many vehicles from Green Toyota, I assured him that I would never return. Yes I was naive for leaving money in the vehicle, but that does not give anyone the right to steal from me or treat a loyal customer in such a rude & disrespectful manner. Stole from me, accused me of lying about it, & told me to never come back. And wonder why I am still upset since he eventually gave me $20. Somehow I am supposed to be happy with that. Doesn't change how I was treated. read more

My wife and I went in to look at one of their "special" $500.00 autos. Of course, it was a bait and switch piece of garbage meant to drive traffic into their business so that they could begin high pressure sales tactics. If you are not very forceful in deciding to leave, the salesman WILL FIND EVERY REASON TO KEEP YOU ON THE LOT. We should have known better than to sit down and talk, but we bit the bait. Despite saying several times we had company coming, and despite telling them clearly that we had a low credit score (hence the reason we were looking for a cash buy car), they kept us there for 3 hours. At the end of that time, we were told by a very arrogant loan worker that he had gotten us a standard loan for a vehicle. When my wife and I finally refused to sign the papers, the loan guy had the gall to say, "I did YOU a favor getting your a loan." We got up, turned around, and walked out without another word. Four days later, we received a rejection letter from the bank the dealership had spoken to. They said that we would have to take a "non-standard" (very high interest) loan if we wanted the vehicle. Conclusion: the "standard loan" line was a lie right to our faces. Bottom line: If you want salespeople trained in high pressure tactics, arrogant loan officers, and bait and switch type of tactics, this is the place to buy a car. Came here and got my car serviced for an oil change and replace my twilight. I was in and out within 90 minutes and prices were about right! Waiting areal was clean. Although bathroom does not have a changing station for kids so I had to lay them on the ground. read more

Service here was great! We were on a road trip and got a nail in our car tire. Service department got us in and fixed it immediately.

The worst car buying experience of my life. The manager acted like it was a major inconvenience to price me out for different car than what I initially came in for. The 1st one on a test drove had an vibration issue at 70 MPH. Although the other employees I delt with were helpful. read more

Purchased a 2017 Tundra 1794 Edition Crew Max from Green Toyota in Springfield IL online. Since I am from out of the area, I needed to be able to trust the sales person/dealership to be trustworthy. CJ Cavenaugh, the sales person seemed quite friendly and responsive. But when I flew to Springfield to pick up the truck, I found that he had lied to me about so very much. He was supposed to send me photos of all the scratches, dents and damage. He sent me two areas showing scratches, but he lied about there being so many more. When confronted about all the damage undisclosed, he said, "What do you expect from a four year old truck". When installing my license plates on the truck, he stripped out the screws on the bracket, thus causing the license plate to fall off after 60 miles of travel. When I called him to get temporary plates, he refused, saying it was not in the budget. Since returning home with the truck, I found a great many damage and repair issues that Green Toyota has refused to deal with....as a matter of fact, they have not once returned any of my calls. This dealership needs to be revealed for who they really are and how incredibly rude and untrustworthy they have been. I would NEVER purchase a vehicle from them again! read more
