I also love that there's a playground for bigger kids, younger kids, and one for all. They also have a fantastic bike loop with exercise machines. The big field in the middle of the loop is used for sports practices and it's well kept as well! Did I mention tennis and pickleball? Well they have both here and there are always players on weekends but weekdays it's all good! Have you been?

Fourth of July…read more.. We've been coming to the spark for the Fourth of July fireworks near 20 years now. They always have some fun and festivities in the park during the day. Usually live music, or broadcast radio station from inside the park. We back up to the main road, get out our chairs, and wait for sundown. Our routine usually includes making some fried chicken and potato salad and going to the lake or the river. Spend a few hours there and then head to Fernley. It is absolutely one of the best firework shows around. Not sure if it's just a holiday, but we always meet people in make friends while we wait for the show. I see they have other events here through the year, but definitely if you have not tried, come watch the fireworks on Fourth of July.

There is a volleyball court. The volleyball net is mostly destroyed and could use a replacement. There is a horseshoe pit. There is a large, grassy area. There is a covered eating area with picnic tables underneath. There is a nice area in the trees with two picnic tables. The playground is unique and not similar to any others in the area. There are no swings at this park. Wood chips are located underneath the playground. The park backs up to several hills which several people seem to hike on. I saw about 5 hikers while I was there. Cmon dog owners, stick with DOG PARKS, not the park closest to your trailer park.

Atmosphere - Part of the 1962 acre master community. 8 acres put aside for this park. Open space, wetland, etc. Service - N/A, self service. Price - Free. Flash forward, my youngest makes us play ice cream shop here in the playground. My family and I frequently visit on the weekends with the kids to allow them to expell their energy. This park is huge and well maintained by the city of Sparks. Kudos to you guys for doing so! The playground is the only one that has shade in summer. One reason why I'll always return.
