I highly recommended MoldGone - they are honest and professional. We had some minor flooding from a clogged drain and contacted MoldGone after our own meter showed signs of moisture. They responded quickly. Kevin from MoldGone came out and did an inspection of the flooding area. After checking for moisture and other signs of damage, Kevin stated we did not need to do a full remediation at this time but to focus on continued dehumidifying and monitoring. He easily could have recommended a full (and expensive) remediation project of our entire kitchen flooring, but gave us an honest answer that likely saved us thousands of dollars at this time - while being realistic we may need to do so in the future. I highly recommend MoldGone. They went above and beyond in their remediation services and helped us through a tough spot. We had a nightmare situation with a pipe backup in a basement, and the whole project seemed overwhelming. They provided a very detailed estimate. It was expensive, but fair because it was a LOT of work, and the quality of the work, along with the excellent customer service made it worth it. They also worked with us through difficult scheduling issues and cramped conditions with crawlspace, etc. They even threw in additional service at no cost. Plus, they were friendly and informative throughout the project, walking us through it the entire way. The work included removing a lot of drywall, removing shower tiling, removing carpet, cleaning and sanitizing the area, running air purifiers, painting the affected areas with a mold-resistant coating, and more. When needed, they had the information ready and organized for the insurance. They were also awesome in that they broke down the estimates into separate categories for us, remediation and reconstruction. If we were able to afford the reconstruction part with them, we would have. But I appreciated that they were willing to still do the remediation. And the way they removed the drywall made it easier to replace. I am really grateful to have found them. I honestly don't know what we would have done if we hadn't. He was very pleasant and respectful, wearing shoe booties to prevent tracking in any dirt into my home. He carefully inspected my areas of concern, reassuring me that a mold issue was unlikely. He even went further to inspect common areas of trouble I hadn't thought. Where there was minor mold in the bathroom, he assured me it was cosmetic and provided a recommendation for a mold resistant paint. Short version: Jay from moldgone came by looked at our issue, addressed our fears and concerns, gave us some very simple DIY remediation tips and didn't charge us a dime. Excellent and honest customer service. I can see why they are so highly rated. The longer version: We recently had a pipe burst in the wall because of a quick connect fittings going to an external hose bib. Even with the supply valve shut off water continued to trickle I to the wall cavity because of a bad shutoff. By the time we had a plumber come out to solve the root cause we had a substantial amount of moisture in the wall. We ran blower fans and a dehumidifier and called MoldGone because of the positive reviews. Jay stopped by and took a look, noted that there was a very minimal amount of mold that could easily be addressed with household products and a dehumidifier and gave us confidence that there wasn't cause for concern. He also walked us through the rationale and all the key things he was looking for in his assessment. He clearly knew what he was talking about and was friendly/professional.
