This office is the biggest scam ever with the rudest employees! I had to wait a half hour in the lobby and hear another customer complain about charges with the office manager who was completely rude to him and dismissive. Then they spent an hour doing x rays and checking my gums which was a bit much. They then told me they can't do a regular cleaning I need a $500 deep cleaning that insurance won't cover. Do not waste your time going here I honestly feel like I should send them an invoice for the time wasted. I also go to the dentist twice a year and take care of my teeth this is the first time I have ever heard this! read more

This is one of the only dental providers in my network for Humana and they do not answer the phone at all! Kohls go to voicemail and messages are not returned. They then try to communicate by SMS text message only. I don't want to text, I want a phone call! Terrible service. Horrible place! Went there & was told my crown would be covered with my portion being $150. My insurance sent me a letter explaining it was actually fully covered. I go in with letter, & they then told me my portion is now $1,050 for the letter from my insurance is dated 3 days past their 30 day period. I then called my insurance & they tell me I AM fully covered still. My insurance even pulled service up by billing codes to verify. And what I want done is indeed covered by my insurance! So this place is scamming money! Not only was it misleading when I went in but my husband was told he had no choice but to remove a tooth there before. Thankfully he went elsewhere to get a 2nd opinion & was told he did not have to have it removed. The dentist also goes back on what she 1st explains. Saying it's tooth number this & then it's not & then says she never said that. All within 5 min period. Plus she took my papers I had & when I asked for them back the papers somehow disappeared. Do NOT go there for they will unjustly try charging you when you are actually covered. Wish I had read other reviews as I'm not the only 1 who's been taken advantage of here. Even after going in office with my insurance rep on the phone with me. Makes you wonder how many people they have unjustly charged and then pocketed money for the insurance company pays them for these services! read more

This is my worse experience in a dentist's office. Everyone in the office was super unprofessional. First of all, they called us to change the time three times, which should have been the first red flag. The day of the visit, they even called us to get to the dentist earlier, and then they made us wait for more than 45 min. Second, The assistant gave us so much attitude and asked us if we schedule teeth cleaning? We were there for the teeth cleaning!!!! They didn't have the person to do it! They wanted to reschedule us to go back just for the Cleaning! Finally, after more than one hour of waiting, the dentist arrived and checked my husband's teeth very briefly and told him that he had a bunch of stuff to do and that they could not do the cleaning because their company doesn't allow them!!!! Being British and therefore the natural prey of dentists, I'm wary of anything involving my teeth. I found myself needing a root canal and, having dental insurance through work, was restricted by my In Network options so turned to Yelp to scope out my choices; having PM'd a few people who had both good and bad experiences around Jax, I picked Greenberg Dental on Old Baymeadows Road. Pre-insurance I've experienced a few Florida dentist offices where the decor is like a upmarket hotel, where the prices are scaled up accordingly and they've spent more time trying to convince me to remove all of my wisdom teeth than focusing on my actual mouth issue. Greenberg Dental were not like that at all. The offices are fairly modest and nondescript with simple furniture and minimal art, reassuring me that no-one will be bumping up the cost in order to meet the payments on their second home in Key West. Restrooms and floors are kept clean. The staff are outstanding and every single person who worked with me were reassuring, professional, friendly, warm and informative. I fully understood what was going to happen, what procedures were involved, why they were necessary, how long they would take, and what I could expect afterwards in terms of discomfort and recovery time. The quality of my experience didn't change during my follow-up visits and check-ups and I'm thankful that they put me at ease during this whole process. They didn't try to scare me into additional procedures, but simply made recommendations on what I might want to consider in the near future. I'm very happy with this Dental office and will continue to use them for all my future teeth needs. read more

Worst dental office on the planet!!! I've been to two different offices with them now and had similar experiences. I've been trying to get my crown completed since JULY and it is now March and STILL not done. They never return calls and don't answer the phones. They also lied to me repeatedly. Each time I went to an appointment, I would ask if I owed them any money and each time they said no. But then 2 months later, I got a whopping bill for $600!!!!. I've been mailing them checks to pay it off and they take for ever to deposit those checks, as in 3-4 weeks. Just got another invoice this week in the mail and they have not cashed the last check I sent them a month ago! And at the bottom of the invoice it says to pay in full or I'll be sent to collections!!! Are you kidding me??? I called billing and of course, no one answers. The message said they would call me back in 24-48 hours and of course no one did and it's been 5 days. Called again today only to repeat what happened when I called the last time. And that's not all. One of the appointments I went to I was told they changed my appointment and rescheduled me for another day WITH OUT TELLING ME!! While I was standing in the office, my phone range and it was Greenberg Dental reminding me of the appointment for the following week that I never knew about!!! The fact that every time I went for an appt, there was NO ONE in the waiting room. That should have put up red flags! I would have already moved on to find another dentist but my crown is sitting in the Largo office. I've had to call a periodontist at another company to have a lengthening done so that Greenberg and finally put my permanent crown on. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GO TO GREENBERG. Let me start off by saying that Dr. Hasona seems to be a great dentist. I've only had two appointments and I think is great at what he does. As a dentist himself he deserves 4-5 stars. Sadly, I don't think I will be going to see him anymore because of his staff. I arrived at opening for my first visit, just an exam and cleaning. Some sketchy looking staff members were waiting outside for the office to open and were saying, "if the office doesn't open soon, I can go home. There's a guy at home waiting for me." Sorry, I'm here for dental work, not to hear about your indiscretions. At this point, I was thinking of just going home, but I stuck it out and got inside. The office seemed to be clean and organized and everything else seemed to be in order. I had my exam, had my x-rays done, and had my cleaning. Everything seemed alright after that. Today was my second, and last trip. I needed two cavities filled. I signed in and was helped to my room. The assistant was prepping everything and another walks in and starts gossiping right away and stressing how bored she is. If you're bored, find something to do. Don't bother the assistant who is prepping for my dental work. Soon, I am numbed up and ready to go. Dr. Hasona and the original assistant starts working on me and this same girl returns for more gossip. She begins to distract the Dentist and assistant by talking about cute boys and she then whips out her phone to show pictures. She then hovers her camera over my face (while the dentist is working on me and has tools in my mouth) and makes them look at photos of some guy. So unprofessional. If this idiot is fired, I'd be happy to go back. Looks like I'm on the search for a new office! read more

I have a lot of dental anxiety having had many bad experience (I have 7 crowns). It was my first visit with Dr. Hasona for an emergency painful tooth - a filling had cracked. Chiquita the Dental Assistant was so wonderful on my visits there. The next visit, I had to get a filling replaced (the very last tooth, yuk) and a crown put on. She stayed and talked to me while we waited for the novocane to work. I was nervous and she really helped me relax. I'm sending her a little gift for her kindness. Oh, and the prices here are SO, so much better than my old dentist. I've already saved hundreds of dollars and have only been there 1 month. My last dentist Dr. Trantham cost SO much more and one crown he put in I lost within a year. I had to pay the full price $1,200 to replace it. Insurance wouldn't cover a penny for 5 yrs (to replace a crown). I'm sure that wouldn't happen here. The wait to get in wasn't bad for my visits (I've had 3), except the one I made for cleaning before Christmas (Dec 22). I'll never do that again. Everyone is trying to get in before year-end and there was only 1 dentist. Overall I'm very happy, although I do have to get used to the chair being tilted back so far. The dentist and hygienist both do it. It's worth it for all the other positive things. read more

I write this to protect others. Do not go - Awful. They have no comprehension of your care or your health. Dr. Hasona Adnan: asked me questions about my health and when I responded to him, he cut my off in mid-sentence after approx. 5 seconds, by asking another question (i.e. he is NOT listening nor cares) I politely asked him to please allow me to finish due to this being my health in regards to me tooth infection and he continued to be rude. On top of that, due to him continuing to NOT LISTEN about my HEALTH needs - He wrote a prescription of a medication that could have harmed me - Excuse my language: another worthless, scum doctor who cares for money then the person they are treating. He is a Sick Man. I am glad I stayed on top of my health and had caught it. Others may not and could be harmed. In addition, if you wish to be treated like a robot and be around people that have simply no common sense or treat you like you are on a conveyer belt - then it may be ok for you. Had Dr. Bouali Amoli pull bottom right Wisdome Tooth. Was pretty stressful time, first from being quoted different price (some parts of the system were not updated with the new pricing) to forgetting my CC. Ashley at the front desk was great, she was 'don't worry' and got the updated prices so everything was as told. She swapped my appointment with the one after mine so I could have extra time to get the money if I needed (she did it without even asking or I'd have risked being so late they couldn't do anything). Then with Dr. Amoli, his first thing was making sure I didn't feel a thing to the point I think he kind of over did it with the local anesthetic. Was always polite and courteous when i asked question about things as they happened (and when I needed a moment to get some of the saliva built up out). Def. going back to him when I have my other teeth 3 wisdom teeth removed. read more

As a former military brat then service woman myself, I have had my fair share of horrible dentists. A few years ago my front teeth started crumbling (I have extremely soft teeth), and I put it off as long as possible since I have never had a good experience with a dentist. A coworker told me about Dr. Hasona and I was reluctant to say the least. I was shaking so bad from fear it would hurt like all of my other dentists. Dr. Hasona was patient, gentle and he and his staff put me at ease visit by visit. I've still got a lot of work left to do, but this is the only place I will ever go! Because of this extraordinary team and dental work they've done on me, 5 additional coworkers have started going there as well as my sister, brother-in-law and my parents. I no longer cry and shake with anxiety for fear of it hurting and thanks to these guys I have a smile that I am proud of! read more

I was seen by Dr. Hasona for pain in one tooth and my annual exam/cleaning.I agree with what others have said that there is a wait and that they probably overbook appointments. I also think the facilities are basic, but clean. However, for the actual treatment the doctor determined the problem and easily fixed it. He was sensitive about my fear of the procedure and kept checking throughout that I was doing ok. The hygienist also did a great job- she was thorough yet gentle. I also really like that Dr. Hasona didn't recommend more dental work than what was necessary- I didn't have any out of pocket expenses for any of the above. I deducted one star, because the doctor and staff need to explain more about the overall determination of the annual exam and what they're doing during procedures. read more

Dr Hasona is very personable and gave me much better news than my previous dentist. They don't try to get you to do extra things that are unnecessary and expensive. Doctor Hosana is great and so is MOST of the staff. The only reason I am giving them four stars is because it is difficult to call in and speak to someone. I've gone to numerous dentists but never have I gone and it be painless, not even for a cleaning. This was absolutely the best experience I have ever had at a dentist. I hate dentists usually. My first time here and my appt was for 10am today that I schedule 2 days ago. I Arrived at 9:40 so I could complete the new patient stuff. I was in the room by 10:15. Turns out I needed a root canal and I was lucky that someone was a no show and was able to get that done as well and was all done by 12:30pm. Yes, I said root canal, and NO PAIN! I heard horror stories before about root canals and even had another tooth pulled rather than do a root canal at another dentist. Needless to say I will be back to have all my dental issues handled with Dr. Hasona. I have an appt tomorrow at same office for Oral Surgeon to consult on a wisdom tooth extraction. I'm actually looking forward to getting that tooth finally removed. The office was very clean and staff was the best... The office are modest but I'm not there for the furniture and TVs. I would definitely recommend this dentist to anyone who wants caring dentist who takes his time with you and explains everything. read more

Well I am once again writing about this office. As previously stated a partial for my husband front tooth was supposed to be ordered from the outside lab. The fee was $300 in which we paid. 3 weeks later when my husband got there to get the partial it was only a mold of 3 teeth??? The office staff whom is AWEFUL, THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH said the cost would be an additional 1000 and they were sorry there had made a mistake. REALLY??? I spoke with Abby who claimed to be the office manager but I have since found out she is not. Megan is supposedly the office manager. I spoke with Megan yesterday about this situation and about correcting it or getting my money back. She promised me that she was going to work it out and make it right. She said she had pull with the dentist and she would talk with him and call back before the day ended. Yet another LIE... My husband and I called the office several times and were put on hold. After holding for 21 min someone returned to the phone to tell us that Megan was unavailable but would call us back soon. Well today once again my husband called several times and again told Megan was busy. I called back immediately and Megan answered the phone. I said who am I speaking with and she said this is Megan. I said oh hi Megan and told her who I was. Immediately she giggled and said I was going to call you guys back I swear. I said hmm what did the dentist say? She said well I can work out a payment plan with you or I can give you corporates number and you can talk to them. WOW. SOUNDS LIKE SHE HAS LOTS OF "PULL". As she started to give me the number she yells out to the other office staff which number would it be? Customer service? AGAIN WOW. Aren't you the Office Manager??? They are HORRIBLE. I will NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE to them. I will be calling the corporate number as well as the Dental Board, the BBB and Ken Amaro from the news because what they do is steal and lie from hard working people. Wish I would have googled this place before I made an appointment for my son. First of all waited for about 45min in the waiting area, only to find out the office assistants didn't receive my sons referral from his regular dentist, the referral was faxed to them a week ago, my dentist office confirmed. In my opinion this should have been handled by Greenberg dental before my son's appointment date, the office is very dis organized. So had to wait an additional 10min for my sons regular dentist to fax over another referral. But here's the real kicker, the dentist takes an xray and tells me my son has to have 8 extractions. My son has no cavities, needless to say I walked out of his office and called my son's dentist right away, he said my son only needed 3 extractions. This dentist office is a scam, I felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE!! I called this dentist office to schedule a new patient dental cleaning. They told me the appointment would take roughly two hours because I would have to do an new patient overview. I never have gone through this for any previous dentist. I have never been to an initial cleaning that took that two hours long. I made an appointment for a routine cleaning & was told I would also need a new patient exam. Ok. When I got there, the receptionist informed me I would need panoramic & bitewing x-rays for my new patient exam. That was not relayed to me when I called for the appt. I told her I just had all that done in Oct. in Wis before we came down to FL. Would they accept copies from that dental office? Yes. I signed a release & they "supposedly" faxed it to my WI dentist. When FL office didn't get anything, I called the WI dentist, they did not get a fax. But said they'd email the records to this FL office & file the release when they do get it. Ok-I gave them the email address of this FL office. Nothing came. By now, it's 75 minutes later, I'm sitting in a very boring, undecorated, cold exam room. Fifteen minutes later, the dentist walked in said he hadn't gotten anything yet & he refused to clean & polish my teeth without the records from WI. He said he needed to view those x-rays to determine what type of cleaning I needed. Or the other thing, they could do x-rays there. Yet he informed me I need a root canal without even examining me. Having wasted a 30-mile round trip & another 90 minutes waiting to be told they would do nothing, my only recourse was to walk out. The female staff I dealt with were all very nice, empathetic, understanding but it was obvious the right hand didn't know what the left was doing and the clinic itself was less than stellar. The exterior was not the least bit welcoming and the restroom & the toilet bowl were dirty, I advised the receptionist that the toilet tissue dispenser needed filling, then had to remind her again a few minutes later. I scheduled an appointment for my son and when I scheduled the appointment I explained to the office his age and why I was bringing him in. I was advised that they had a pediatric dentist to see him. When I got to his appointment the dentist looked at my son and advised me that he was not a pediatric dentist and could not help him. The dentist seemed like a very nice man and is probably great. This review is mainly for the staff involved. I wasted half a day of work and my son missed an unnecessary day of school. Such poor costumer service to schedule my appointment knowing that they do not have a pediatric dentist at this time. read more

I called another Greenberg Dental in Mandarin but did not receive the warm, welcoming customer service on the phone like this location. Megan at the Baymeadows Road location politely explained about an existing wait list and was willing to look at other locations to assist in finding an appointment. Not only did she go the extra step but provided tips to reduce the time during my appointment. Also, when I called back with more questions Chelsea was super-friendly and helpful!! The dental work was fine. The billing people were a headache. As other reviews have noted, the wait time can be long. The doctor is moving from room to room working on several patients at once. A word of advice to anyone trying this place is to get your initial pricing in writing. I was told my co-pay w/ insurance would be $300, after the work had started on my tooth it crept to $360 and finally to $460. Since I was in the middle of the crown process, I reluctantly paid, despite their vague explanation about an "insurance issue", which I'd assumed they'd verified before starting. The permanent crown that came in was incorrect. Rather than a full porcelain crown it, had a metal strip exposed which I've come to find was meant for someone with a partial. The doctor said he could put this crown in, or order another one. Since it wasn't really visible from the front, I told him to just put it in. The following day I called the office to see about correcting the billing, since it wasn't the correct crown and porcelain is expensive. The woman said she'd speak to the doctor and call me back. She called back shortly and said the doctor told her the crown was actually the correct one (untrue), and was supposed to be that way (alas, untrue again.) This is the opposite of what he had said the day before. At this point I realized arguing was pointless. I can understand this attitude from a used car dealership, but not my dentist. No hard feelings to Greenberg & Assoc., but money is their main priority. I wish them the best, but I'll be taking my future business elsewhere and recommending to my friends and associates to do the same. read more
