The guys (Taylor and Jeff) who were working today were awesome. I had called beforehand to see if they had the General Hydroponics products that I was looking for and spoke with Taylor. He was informative and friendly over the phone. In person, he was amazing with even more knowledge to share. Jeff was friendly and knowledgeable as well. As always, I get lost and hidden behind product shelves, but Jeff took the initiative to take notice and greeted my hubby and I with enthusiasm. While I'm not new to keeping (killing) indoor plants, I am new to hydroponics and fertilizing my indoor plants. So, I appreciate the education, especially from people who have been doing this for a long time. It's important for me to learn from people who are not condescending or impatient because it will turn me away so quickly. I came in to Greencoast Orange today as a first time customer, the front was closed so we came in through the roll up garage. First thing I noticed the soil at the door nearly half the price I paid at the shop near my house for the exact bag I already knew this would be my go to spot. I wandered a bit aimlessly as a first time grower but was met with everything I need when approached by store associate Taylor, this man knew everything I needed to know. He made me recommendations based on my current needs and did not oversell me on things I did not need at the moment. I have visited numerous hydro locations throughout OC and always left feeling dumb. I am learning and had questions only to receive blank stares or "just Google it." I became VERY discouraged. There's light at the end of the tunnel! I discovered Greencoast was right around from my house and decided to give it a try. WOW! As soon as I walked in I was receiving greetings from left and right and employees asking me if I need help finding anything in particular. They even told me that if I have any questions to feel free to ask away. AMAZING. I love the prices, the selection of products and the customer service. I especially received valuable info and ALL of my rookie questions were answered in a way that didn't make me feel stupid. To make things better, they even supplied me with take home reading materials that answers many questions one may have without having to go crazy searching for it. Love getting my potting soil and fertilizer here. Price is decent and all the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Located in a business complex. I expected a garden like place but it's more of a little garage like. Came here to get a special kind of potting soil. Everywhere else sold them much higher in price. Should pick up some plastic pots while you are here bc they sell a 2, 3, 5 or even 10 Gallon size pots for just a few dollars, elsewhere starting at $8-$30. Didn't see any plants during my visit today but at least I got what I needed. Will return to get some pots next time now that I realized how inexpensive they are selling it for here read more

Went here looking for organic nutrients and fertilizer for my vast vegetable garden. I saw on line that they carried some of the brands I wanted. The staff was knowledgeable, and friendly. It is located in a warehouse and you park in the back. It is pretty big and I found almost everything that I was looking for, Fish bone meal, green sand, Bat Guano, plus tons of stuff i have never heard of. If you need supplies for hydroponic gardening, lights, composting humus, etc. they have it. They also have other stores so if they don't have it another might. read more

From the moment you walk in the two guy employees are pretty rude don't acknowledge you at all when you ask for help they make it seem like your disturbing them and they're conversation. Placed seemed messy none of the products have price tags on them and most don't match the product price tags on the shelves there on and after finding what I needed and going to check out the guy employee was really rude and when I tried to use the yelp coupon I was told they don't honor it anymore and when asked why was rudely told because we don't so are you going to pay for this or not, with service like that I don't know how you expect to do any business. I know I will never be back to any of your locations. I'll drive the extra 15 minutes and go to Garden Grove Hydroponics where they give good service and honor all they're coupons and prices read more

Guys here are dicks. Came for nutients and got the wrong ones because you cant go inside so the guy that hekped gave us what he thought we needed. Wrong stuff. Called and they said to bring it back (not even 24 hours later). Got there and the guy was like nope, all nutrient sales final and points to a sign, that you cannot see from where they make you stand outside. They are so rude. $80 worth of shit I cant use because they dont listen to their customers. 100% would recommend going somewhere else where they have good customer service. read more

Finally a great place to serve my growing equipment needs--and its nearby! The staff there knows the equipment, they know the right questions to ask you in order to provide EXCELLENT TIPS, and they have beautiful blue pit bulls minding the store with them. I am giving them 5 stars because of the opening party they threw last month. Free food, a DJ, crazy discounts, and a RAFFLE! My bf won an automatic temp and humidity controller (worth about $150). They were just raffling off complete lighting systems like it was no thing, giving away plant nutritional products, and I even scored a free bottle of grow equipment cleaning product. We also purchased a dark room grow tent, and since the discount on that day was so nice, we went for a larger version than we had anticipated. Cha-ching! I will definitely be returning to this fine establishment for the expertise, and the cute doggies.
