Such a cute shop in downtown Orange that sells beautiful, creative garden decor and plants and does art classes! Came here for a group class where we made a garden stake. The class was held out front in their garden like area under umbrellas and was a great time had by all. Our crafts came out so cute and I'd love to come back and try other classes. This is another stop that gives Old Town Orange its charm. Tucked inside a converted 1920s home, it feels like stepping into a hidden garden treasure where there's always secret things to discover. They have a nice selection of gifts and garden art is wonderful and truly unique. They have beautiful succulents, artistic pots, miniature and fairy garden pieces, jewelry, beads, and all sorts of secret finds that make perfect gifts or additions to your own backyard. My guy bought me some Groot planters. Very cool. A must visit. Especially for little girls in search of a fairy. She may find one. read more

We had a group event of 30 guests planned to come and celebrate my sister's 50th birthday. The sun catcher workshop was unique, relaxing and creative. It is held on an outdoor patio. The tables and materials were organized and ready to go upon arrival. Beth is a patient, communicative, and supportive teacher! Any time I had questions leading up to the event, she was quick to respond. She was very accommodating. Everyone said they really enjoyed it! Beth gave step by step directions. The product came out beautifully! Only 25 guests were able to make it so Beth gave us 5 take home kits. The cost was very reasonable. Parking can be tricky with large groups, but everyone found a space. I highly recommend doing this with a friend or as a group event! You will not be disappointed! It is totally worth it! We love this place! The owners are super friendly and helpful. My daughter went here with her Girl Scout Troop where they made fairy gardens; we came back for two other birthday parties where they ran other crafts for the kids. My daughter had so much fun here that she wanted her party here too. This time we made a mermaid garden. The ladies organized everything! They kept all the kids engaged and they all got to take a cool succulent garden that they decorated home. You can bring snacks and drinks to the party for your guests as well. It's a cool little shop to just go to for plants and other cool items, but it's a great place for a Girl Scout event or birthday party! They have crafts for all ages! read more

Well, this is certainly not the kind of place that I normally review but having visited here in a recent trip to downtown Orange I have to say that this is a nice little shop with both indoor and outdoor areas. It has a wide variety of very nice items and particularly garden items that appeal to those who build the fairy gardens. The variety of items that they have here supporting this hobby is quite varied and the displays that they have set up as well as the various pots and rocks and other items make this a very great place for those interested in that hobby. I stumbled upon this shop while on vacation. I found Dragonfly to have very reasonable prices; there were all these really nice planter pots I expected to be $15-20 that were all $10. One pot I grabbed had a couple small succulent pups and I asked if I could keep them; the owner went and grabbed even more pups for me! read more

In 2019 I paid for my mom and aunt to attend a Miniature Garden class through a local community college. Shortly after, my mom sprained her ankle. I called to see if they could possibly attend a different class. The nice lady on the phone told me it wasn't really a class, they can just go at any time and put their garden together. She took their names down. The pandemic hit. I don't know if this place closed for a time but my mom and aunt are over 65 and were obviously scared to go out. Then my mom had to have brain surgery. Fast forward to 2022. I called and explained the situation to the woman on the phone who I believe was not the same one. She said she had no record of it and I needed to send her proof of the registration payments. In the meantime my aunt cancelled her registration. I called the shop back and let them know I emailed the receipts and the woman said she'd look into it and call me back. Months later, here we are and I never heard back so there went my $30 fee. read more

What a waste of over 20 minutes of my life. Saw this rustic cute house/shop near the university. Went in. Found a few great things. No prices. No owner. Nothing. Waited and two ladies finally showed up. Stood there. Nothing. Totally ignored. I then approached them but they were talking so waited patiently some more. One looked up saw me and continued on with the other lady. No acknowledgment, nothing. Finally, and I do mean finally, one of the ladies sort of looked at me. No smile nothing. I asked about a product and was told it wasn't for sale. I told her that get it as it was wonderful. She agreed and walked off. Didn't even get to ask about the other items, nothing. I am sorry that I, as a paying customer who wanted to purchase some items in your store, bothered you at your open shop! Will never shop there or visit again. read more

I found out about this wonderful shop on Yelp! My daughter and I went on a Sunday a couple weeks ago. The people that work there go out of their way to help you. I had brought a couple of necklaces that were broken and asked if she could fix them, she was more than happy to help. My necklaces turned out looking better than when I brought them in. They have a large section of jewelry making supplies. My daughter loved looking at all there many different varieties of succulents. They have a large section of succulents already made up in beautiful planters. Or you can make your own. They also have classes on flower arranging and jewelry making. What a find this place is! Located across the street from Chapman U, I initially stopped in here one day to get a last minute gift. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of unusual small objects that captured my eye. So much to look at, you wouldn't expect it from the street view. I stayed in here way too long but I couldn't help exploring all the goodies. I picked out 3 small succulents, purchased a pot and the ladies put the whole thing together; I paid a small price and happily walked out the door. Very unique gift ideas plus they have craft classes for all kinds of cool things like etiquette, aromatherapy, mosaic tiling, jewelry making, self defense, cooking and much more. Reasonably priced but mainly the ladies who work here are very friendly and happy to answer any of your questions. I was impressed with their "fairy garden" collections, too. I came here with my daughter and her cousin and the girls loved the jewelry class they had with Beth. She is so good with kids and the girls had such a nice time. They left happy with all the jewelry they got to make and I was happy to see those smiles and creative energies flowing. It was a very positive experience and I made a beautiful container garden while the girls made their jewelry. We loved coming here! Omg those miniatures for sale were adorable too. On my day off a couple of weeks ago when I wasn't rushing around town, I strolled beyond this beautiful garden, and my breath was Swept away! I've been buying garden stuff and beautiful plant gifts from here for several years, but I'd never been inside the store! They have a wonderful selection of one of a kind jewelry designs and clothing. I picked up the most beautiful ring and lovely cotton blouse. There's a room where jewelry making classes are held and there's a bunch of supplies Ike beads and strings, looks so fun. One woman was booking her daughter's birthday party. Ever wanted to roam in a whimiscal land of lush succulents, decorated trellis's covered with blooming vines, garden statues and more? I mean everyone needs at least one Jesus statue or a fairy in their garden. That's exactly what you will find at the Dragonfly. The shop is located in Old Towne Orange aka the Orange Circle with in a older home in which has been converted into a store. The outside has so many different sorts of garden props, plants, herbs, flowers. My favorite was the Succulent wreath. If I could I would have a garden full of succulents. But, a wreath would suffice. However for $42 I would settle with my potted ones and buying more potted succulents. I am sure it is a tedious process in making succulent wreath however $42 is a little too much. Not everything here is over priced. It's definitely worth a look. Plus it's located in the "antique district" boasting tons of antique stores and malls and Haven Gastropub a short walk away! NOTE: This place is perfect for the person with that green thumb who is over the run of the mill garden department sections. You open the door and it is like stepping into Narnia. Well, not quiet but you do enter a different world. Warning: you can get lost in this place for hours. I've walked by the outside for years and thought it was just a gardening store. It's not. Go inside. Some of it looks like an old lady store, but most of it really does not. This is my favorite shop for unique gifts. They have so many different things! It feels like a brick and mortar etsy shop... though lately I feel like the selection has become less and less. The first thing you'll notice is their outdoor garden section. It's fun trying to look through every nook and cranny to discover hidden finds!! I recently realized that there is a whole side yard/back area I'd been missing out on. Sometimes they have huge clearance sales in the back with boxes full of goodies to search through. Inside is a treasure trove of neat little crafty gift things! I can't even explain. You just have to go and check it out! It feels to me like different crafters have different little "booth" areas as if it was an antique mall. My favorite gift idea is to pick out cute containers and a few succulents. They have a corner with little miniatures so you can make an adorable fairy garden. Super cute and everyone always loves it! They also have crafty classes if you're feeling crafty yourself! This place was quite eclectic. They had a huge array of everything and anything. I enjoy seeing a little bit of everything and it was a very interesting little "house" to go through.
