Before reading my review, understand I am only writing about the hardware and garden supplies part of the business. Due to living in a retirement community, we have a lot of restrictions on landscaping, so if you are looking for helpful information regarding their quality and pricing on landscaping, I advise look on to other reviews. Located between Mooresville and Monrovia on SR42 (when you can get passed the road construction, we were out looking for somethings for our patio a. The signage for the business is set back from the road, so don't speed by too quickly or you might miss it. When we pulled in, they have several buildings set up with hardware and planting aids. Lots of flowers and pots were available outside for you to browse at your leisure. In the back are lots of types of mulch to choose from and along the east side of the parking lot, plenty of stone for landscaping to look over too. Inside the multi level sheds, the experience was similar to browsing most plant centers and hardware stores. Help was available, but left customers to browse unless approached. My wife had something in mind and though they didn't carry it there, one of the staff mentioned another business a couple miles away that might be able to help. I like businesses helping each other especially local owned places. My wife also got some ideas for our sun room inspired by some of the items they had on hand. There didn't seem to be anything that gave us a "wow" moment, but it looked to be a decent place to check out if you are in the area and support an independent place instead of a big box store. The price of mulch is worth the trip. Greendale makes the mulch, like Tiffany's, and prices are higher at retail stores who buy and resale from Greendell. Forrest Fines 2 cubic feet bags for $2.75. Great price!! Their greenhouse has annuals and perennials in the spring, plants, trees, shrubs, boulders, pavers, fountains and garden decor. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and glad to help load your vehicle. This is my new go-to place when buying mulch and looking for unique garden decor. read more

Great customer service! We get our mulch here-they have a drive in/through barn where they load the mulch into your vehicle after you pay inside. Also great place to get rocks for landscaping. Been here a few times and every visit has been great! Employees are friendly and offer to help without being pushy. read more

My boyfriend and I came to Greendell for their fall festivities today including a corn maze, pumpkin patch, and game area. We had a great time. They offer free popcorn at the counter when you arrive that you can eat on your tractor ride to the corn maze and pumpkin patch. When you get there, they drop you off at a "forbidden forest" with some spiderwebs and cool signs. Walk the path, and you'll see some Harry Potter pumpkins and references that lead you to the maze. The whole maze is Harry Potter themed! I thought it was great. There's not a map, but there are about 50 little signs throughout that ask true or false questions from the HP movies. Cute idea. I loved it. Then when you exit, you can head back the same path and reach the pumpkins. Lots to choose from. We got 3 little ones, and it only costed $3. Over all, we spend $12 each on tickets, $3 on our pumpkins, and $0 on food or anything else. Definitely a great business and host site for these types of events!! read more

Awesome place! Awesome customer service, fair prices, and they treat you like family. My family goes every year to their fall festival for fun games and the corn maze, and to pick our the pumpkins. We are always treated fairly like family, not a customer. They are INCREDIBLY helpful. I went to pickup some topsoil a couple weeks ago and I didnt know how much my borrowed truck would handle. They werent sure at the register and instead of treating me with suspicion, I was told "go back and tell [sorry, forget his name] that you want to start at a half yard. He knows his stuff and will know when to stop. Then come back and tell us how much he gave you and we'll ring you up. " Sure enough, he was an expert, loaded my mini pickup like a pro (he had to load it on the diagonal because his bucket was bigger than my bed) and sent us on our way. We went back in and paid even though we could have easily have driven off with their product. You just dont find that kind of trust or customer service at the big box stores. read more

Great place! I have attended classes there, purchased many plants and accessories from there, and love them all! The younger kids are always helpful with carrying items, and making suggestions. The staff, with the exception of one, is great. They are always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. There is one lady there that I have seen, on more than one occasion, just bash some of the younger staff members. She belittles, yells at them, and calls them out needlessly in front of customers and other staff members. She makes it very uncomfortable for everyone. Great place to shop.. read more
