I ordered 90 prints from them recently for an upcoming art sale. All I have to say is they are…read moreincredibly accommodating. I ended up ordering my prints with a very short window for them to ship in time and I misunderstood the site and chose hard copy proofs without taking a second to realize that hard copy proofs also have a shipping time (duh on my part). However when I emailed them asking to change the proof method, not only did they do it with no issues, they also responded to my email very quickly and very kindly. When I later also received hard copies in the mail (I'm assuming they had already shipped out before I asked to change the proof method, or there was a shipping cost involved that they wanted to not steal from me) they did come considerably damaged. To me it's no harm no foul, they are proofs and are essentially extra to my order + the print quality on them despite the shipping damage was very good. This made me more worried about my full order as I spent a large amount of $ on them after spending weeks trying to pick a printing company. But, when I emailed yet again, they responded to me by apologizing about the proofs and then telling me how my full order was in much more secure packaging. I'll be receiving my order this Friday, so I have yet to know if they will come unharmed. Overall, I think CatPrint is a pretty good service for small artists like myself doing art sales. The prints are definitely not full archival quality but they are definitely good enough for people like me. On top of that they were incredibly helpful in helping me fix various issues, one of which was entirely my fault, without making me feel like a burden. I do think they need to package their proofs better by at the very least placing a piece of cardboard as a backing in the envelope. In a world of big companies like Amazon, it's nice to be able to support a small business run by real people. I hope to use them in the future.

I heard about this space the first time following an invite to a pre-Valentine's Day event…read morefeaturing other local vendors like Black Button, Hedonist Chocolate, and Devil May Care. Perfect opportunity to pick up a last minute gift and grab a locally made card. It was the coolest idea and brought people into Type High. I loved their prints and picked up a few cards and posters on the trip. The space is on Railroad St. Between Rohrbach's and the Public Market. You'll see a small sign on the door and go up a flight of stairs that leads into the studio. It's filled with all the cool letterpress stamps and tons of their prints were hanging on the wall and boxes filled with different themes cards, everything from happy birthday to babies and anniversary cards. Lots of quippy imagery and sayings, like "Happy F*cking Whatever!" We have a ton of awesome letterpress studios in ROC so it's cool to see the variety between the different spaces. Cards were $4 and posters were $18.

I took photos of my bouquet before I took it apart to dry each of the flowers. I was concerned they wouldn't be able to put it back to together exactly the way it was, but they did! they did such a great job putting my brooches back in the bouquet as well. The frame itself is custom made of course with the wood and colors I wanted to match. fast forward to about a year later (marriage didn't work out) and the owner was very gracious as I reluctantly wanted them to take their awesome work back. The owner gave me the opportunity to at least keep the frame (even willing to change up the look) to repurpose it as they couldn't refund the money. He hung on to it for me for months (and gave me back my brooches) before I made the decision of giving it up entirely. I thought at least they could keep it at their store as a wonderful example of their work on their first framed wedding bouquet.

This time, the random thing I was looking at were these white, snowy pictures, and there was random red in them, like a cardinal or holley, etc. I didn't buy one, but I totally could have. Hallmark is one of those stores that I don't actually think I like, but then once you're in it, you realize you could spend hundreds of dollars without trying. I do prefer to buy cards here than at the grocery store. They have a good selection, and even have a good selection of 99 cent ones.
