Came here before for a Yelp event. But learning to knit and/or crochet has been something on my list for a long time! Having the owner, Shelby, there as the Jedi Master of Yarn makes it that much better. Her classes are reasonably priced and she's got cool stuff in the shop too! Art from local Roc Artists and yarn from everywhere in all different colors! The shop is a place with a cool, relaxed vibe. Just the spot you want to chill at after a crazy day! I'm looking forward to more classes and happy to add a new spot for holiday shopping in the future!

Wool, paper, cards, and gifts galore!

Super cute new shop in the south wedge! Filled with both local and non-local letter press cards, gifts, stationary, clothes, and jewellery. Reminds me of some of my favourite shops in Toronto! If you haven't been in yet, you should definitely check it out!

    Awesome!

Great place. They sell very cute and unique items. Best of all, they support local artists. My daughter bought an adorable rabbit pin - see the picture.

Class in crocheting a granny square was fantastic! I recommend it highly. They even supply everything for first timers!

This is truly one of the best gift shops around…read more I don't live in Rochester, but I do spend Christmas there every year. Parkleigh has saved my life by stocking all the gifts I forgot to get, didn't want to cart all the way to Western New York, or didn't even know I wanted to buy. They have something for everyone, and I truly mean that. If you can't find a gift for someone here, it's because that person doesn't like anything at all. They've got chocolates of all kinds, tea and coffee ground to order (which I wish I'd known before I'd bought mine elsewhere), beauty products, stuffed animals, coasters, books, flasks, camping gear, cookware, Bills gear, candy, and of course, socks, cards, mugs, shirts, hats, and anything else you could want with clever and funny little sayings. Seriously, so many socks. I've never seen this many socks that talk about drinking wine. But if that's something you need in your life, get over to Parkleigh. Also, the staff is super sweet and helpful.

What keeps drawing us back is the incredible mix they've perfected-- everything from sentimental to silly, practical to indulgent, fragrant to delicious. Their selection spans greeting cards, gourmet chocolates, coffees and teas, local Rochester items, MacKenzie‑Childs, jewelry, toys, and an ever‑changing rotation of gifts from both local and international makers. The store itself is beautiful, with exposed brick, hardwood floors, original tin ceilings, and eye‑catching displays that make wandering the aisles feel like opening a present. What we love most is that there is always something new, fun, or beautiful to explore, no matter how many times we visit. After two decades, we're still excited to walk through the door, and we know we'll keep coming back for many years to come.
