I can't even begin to estimate how many burritos I consumed here while I was a student at UNI. I visited while back in town visiting a professor of mine from my time in college, and I left a just a little disappointed in the taste (or lack thereof) in my nostalgic order. Back in the day, Greenhouse definitely did something different with their chicken. If my memory serves me correctly, they used to have seasoned, cubed chicken pieces, but it seems they have moved to a watery, shredded chicken instead. The other ingredients seemed to be the same, fresh items, but the new chicken was a big disappointment for me. The food here used to consistently hit 9+ out of 10 for me, but during my last visit it was more in the 6-7 range. Giving this spot a 4/5 rating since I'm hoping my last stop in was a fluke. Service and ambiance here is always on point! read more

This was better than expected for a quick service meal. After a long travel day, I was hungry and tired, and this salad hit the spot. The steak was a little dry, but other than that, it was a great meal. I got the Buffalo salad but added steak instead of chicken. The dressing wasn't fresh or homemade-tasting, so that was a bummer. It was a $15 salad, so for the price and convenience, I would come back again. The girl at the counter was welcoming, and since it was my first time, she explained how the menu worked. read more

Had a Mediterranean salad picked up for me and it seems like they just poured a pint of dressing on it. Disgusting Also the silverware packet was extremely damaged and the fork times were bent. This actually ended up being ok since the salad was inedible. read more

I absolutely love this place. They are are very knowledgeable about food allergies and have seperate areas to make gluten free quesadillas. They also automatically change their gloves without asking! I love building my own bowl. Mostly because if I order one of theirs on the board I have to make adjustments or ask questions about the sauces they put in because I do not know if I can have them. I also love that they make everything in house! The scenery is beautiful. I love all the greenery in there read more

I had a protein bowl. I don't typically eat protein bowls I don't typically have the opportunity protein bowls, but I had a protein bowl. It had seared tuna in it and it was absolutely out of this world. I don't know how to describe it. I just enjoyed it and I would recommend it to anybody to give it a shot. Service was fast and the seating is just like a fast food restaurant. It's nothing fancy but it's just fine. read more

This is a favorite of my family. When our kids come home we always make it a point to get GreenHouse at least once. I deeply love the Santa Fe bowl...rich flavor and with customized options it's a whole new level. My wife loves the Hibachi (it's really nice) and I have also really enjoyed the Powerhouse. I'm glad I tried it once but probably won't come back again. I bought a can of carbonated water, a Mediterranean wrap, and a chips and queso and somehow spent $20. The wrap promised Kalamata olives but just gave me black. I tried the soy curls and they were not my favorite. The lettuce was slimy. There were barely any tomatoes. Overall, I wound up pulling it apart and picking around the soggy mass of lettuce by the end. The queso was weird and thin and runny. The service was great! read more

New restuarant in town #VEGAN !!! So excited to finally try this place. Everything on the menu starts with a vegan base, but the protein options not only include soy chicken and falafal but chicken and steak (from good sources). Most of the sauces are vegan. The rice has egg base in it. I ordered the quesadilla. I did soychicken and cheese. I got the pico salsa. Unfortunately they do not have a vegan sour cream but I was certainly not disappointed. I LOVED it. They grilled up the wrap in front of me, there was a whole bar of fresh veggies to choose from, the cheese was yummy and the soychicken very flavorful. I will 100% order this again. My nonvegan colleague got one of the salads. He said it was excellent. Our meal together was about $20. So a bit on the expensive side to some but not for the quality food, and moral goodness you feel about these places. I recommend it!! Inside is a bit small. Seating is all booths so I can see it filling up very quickly. I almost wonder if it was set up to have different people sitting nearer to open conversation. There is quite a bit of outdoor seating so I look forward to enjoying that this summer. Staff were helpful. Overall very pleased with my first visit !! read more

Food was very good, four stars for the limited seating and for being a business that has the appearance of sustainability, it blew me away there were no options for plastic recycling. All the utensils and food is served on plastic, along with soda/water bottles. It isn't enough to deter me, it was just a bit awkward to me. read more

Simply amazing! I'm never in Cedar Falls and I was up here for a training. As a new vegan, it's hard to find places that has filling food for you! I wish I can just pack up this restaurant and take it to Cedar Rapids! Quick and fast service, incredibly friendly staff, and such a fun menu to pick from! Inside was so hip and fun, from plants on the light fixtures, fake grass on the wall, and actual herbs on the wall behind the food counter.. it was just awesome! I love this place! Easily one of the best fast food healthy places in the Cedar Valley. I typically get the spring roll bowl, though I've stolen some bites of other bowls too. I love how fast it is. I always love getting the burritos because they're so big yet delicious and healthy. Every time I've gone there and the prices are very affordable and the quality is very high. This is in my opinion the most healthy and affordable place you can go to in Cedar Falls. Nowhere else can compare because of their prices, there's so many other places in Cedar Falls that serve healthy food like GreenHouse Kitchen but nowhere near the deal of the price. read more

I ate here for the first time Wednesday night and got the powerhouse bowl with falafel, and it was so yummy! So then I came back on Thursday afternoon for lunch and got the spring roll with soy chicken, and it was even better. I will be back every time I am in town for work as the food is just fabulous! My only wish is that you could open one in South Florida as I would be tempted to eat here two to three times a week. read more

Really happy to have a clean, fresh option like this around. Build your own or choose from pre-built combos of salad, bowl, or roll on a fresh pressed tortilla. First trip, I had the Pancho Villa roll with chicken. Great fresh pressed wheat wrap, fresh jalapeños, and cilantro sauce. Had a side of chips &queso, which was also really good. The queso dip isn't the standard melted flavorless cheese product you see at other spots, this is more of a cheese soup that has a great flavor. Second trip, I went with the Poke bowl, which is a tuna dish. The bamboo rice added nice sweetness, and I really liked both sauces that were offered with the Poke, a Wasabi sauce and a pineapple ginger vinaigrette. Also tried the guacamole with chips and was impressed with the guacamole. There's a pretty wide variety of options on the menu, some more familiar options (a Philly style, a Buffalo chicken style, Caesar style) and also some combos & ingredients for more adventurous eaters. They also have quesadillas that I imagine would be really great with the fresh pressed tortillas and salsa options, but I haven't tried one yet. A world of options to appeal to everyone from vegetarians to your standard picky eater. Both times I've been in, the seating has been pretty well full, so outdoor seating options would be a nice addition at some point. But with seating options on campus and around the Hill, plus the food being easy to take on the go, that is easily overcome. read more

Located conveniently near UNI campus, this place is a much needed addition to the Cedar Falls area. Fresh, local ingredients and delicious combinations with tons of variety! You can even "build your own" if you're into that. The staff is friendly and accommodating - never making you feel rushed and happy to help in any way. A huge plus is they are also eco friendly - everything is either reusable or able to be recycled. A perfect spot for a quick lunch date or to grab something to go for work or school. read more

My coworker and I had carry out from here today. We both had falafel crumbles on the bowls we ordered, and it was so salty we each could barely eat half of our bowls. Waste of money, unimpressed (except in a bad way), and disappointing as we enjoy fresh healthy food, but this felt like eating high blood pressure for lunch! read more

I ate here three times throughout a 4 day trip, that's a lot but this place has solid options for a pescatarian on a restricted diet. Ingredients were all very fresh and delicious - the Spring Roll bowl with soy curls was wonderful, the Poke bowl is good except the rice is a bit much and not the best tasting, I went for Poke roll with Spinach instead of rice and about half the usual amount of sauce for my last visit and it was wonderful. Service was great at every trip but especially so when my 92 year old grandpa was ordering, very patient with someone not used to this style of restaurant, unsure of what he wanted, and hard of hearing. Really my only complaint was the bamboo rice in the Poke bowl and a suggestion to lighten up on the amount of sauce in the rolls especially. read more

She asked a few times while we still had our entrees "if we wanted anything else" - which we felt was odd - it did not come across like "are you satisfied", it was more like do you want the bill? Weird vibe. We discussed it among ourselves that maybe she needed to get out and we were her last table but she came round again asking if we wanted the check and my buddy asked her is she was heading out and actually said no- she was there for a few hours more... so the whole thing was perplexing. BEWARE: Wilbo's Burgers Brats & Beers adds an extra 15% fee on all carryout orders...and worse, it…read moreis added AFTER tax! I placed a phone order and was quoted a total based on food + tax. No mention of the carryout surcharge. When I showed up, I learned that the final total included an extra 15% without warning. The way it is calculated is: Items + Tax = Subtotal. Subtotal + 15% Surcharge = what you ACTUALLY pay. When I confronted them about this, the manager stated that it was "to help the chefs in the back." To which I responded: "Maybe you should pay your employees what they deserve instead of dumping your responsibilities onto your customers." The issue isn't just that a surcharge was added, though I still find it unreasonable, but that it was never mentioned beforehand. It felt intentionally hidden and was added without any disclosure, which comes off as really sneaky and unprofessional. We had the Wilbo Combo, Build Your Own Burger, and The Spicy One Brat. The food was decent, but the business practices were extremely disappointing. Overall: I do NOT recommend coming here! I will NOT be coming back here!
